Feelin' Hot, Hot, Hot!!

Happy Wednesday, y'all!! Today is my day to host the Challenge over at 7 Kids College Fund Cahallenge Blog! So, pop on over to see all of the details!

This week's challenge is:

Feelin' Hot, Hot, Hot (share the Love)

Make a Hot, Summery card, but NO Magnolia Stamps!!

That's right folks - No Maggies!! We love our Maggies, but want to share the love with some of the other awesome stamps 7 Kids carries!I used the Shimmer Redkelp image from CC Designs for my card. 7 Kids carries a huge selection of CC Designs stamps - go check them out! The sentiment comes from CC Designs as well (I think it's retired). I airbrushed both the sentiment and the panel behind Shimmer using Copic Marker and Nesties to cut them out. The orange panel was embossed using this Cuttlebug folder. I used an EK Success border punch behind that panel. Shimmer wouldn't be Shimmer without a little Stickles (or a lot!). I airbrushed clear Dew Drops with BG13 to match my project and added some Stickles to them too. There is a bit of ribbon and a shell charm to finish off the card!

I colored this image a while back, but I will try to recall what Copic colors I used:

Skin - E11, 00, 000, R30

Hair - BG13, 11, 10, 0000

Fins - YG 97, 95, 93, 21

All Else - YR18, 16, 15, E43, 42, 41, 40, BG11, YR16

Be sure anre check out the rest of the DT's Summery Goodness!

Supplies:
Stamps - Shimmer Redkelp (CC Designs), sentiment CC Designs
Paper - Bo Bunny DP, Cardstock SU
Ink - Memento, Copics
Accessories - Stickles, Copic ABS, Nestabilities, Fern Punch, Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, ribbon, shell charm, Dew Drops

Surf & Sand Beach Album

Happy Thursday everybody!! I am so ready for this long holiday weekend - how about y'all?? So to kick off an early weekend, I am posting a new beach mini album I recently made. It is listed in my Etsy store if you are interested.

It is a 6x6 mini paper bag album using some CI beach papers and embellishments I have had for a few years. I used lots of ribbon, ink, bazzill cardstock and even used my Cricut!! It has been so long since I pulled it out. I had to use use it for a school project for my son and fell in love with it all over again!! I used the Opposites Attract cartridge for the title. Scroll down to see the rest of the pages!! I love summer and the beach, so these are my favorite types of albums to make.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Sparkly Day 7 Kids Challenge No. 21

Happy Wednesday, y'all!! It's another 7 Kids College Fund challenge day and I am so excited to used something other than a Magnolia stamp on a card. Don't get me wrong....I <3 my Maggie's, but 7 Kids has tons of fabulous other stamps in stock waiting to be loved too!! (sounds like a puppy at the pet store, eh?)

Our challenge this week is

Circles!!

**Create a circle card or use circles on your card.

I used one of the stamps in the Aladdin set from Whiff of Joy. This is such a perfect set - 14 stamps (including awesome sentiments I use on other cards all of the time!!) The sentiment on this card is from the same awesome set!

I could not resist making another Scalloped Easel card, this time using Circle Nesties. I airbrushed 2 doilies with some G24 and YG21 Copic Markers and then layered them under some Sultry DP from Basic Grey and some SU cardstock. I distressed all of the edges and then added Stickles all over. I swear I went through 1/4 of a bottle of Star Dust (my fav) on this card!

Copics Used: E11, 00, 000, RV11, 10, 000, 0000, C9, 7, 5, 3, G24, 21, 20, YG00, Y21, 26,

Here is the inside of the Easel card. I left it blank for a message.

Supplies:

Stamps - Aladdin Set (Whiff of Joy)

Paper - SU cardstock, Sultry DP (Basic Grey), Gina K. 120# paper

Ink - Memento, Copics

Accessories - Stickles, Copic ABS, Nestabilities, Fern Punch, Distresser Tool, WOC Flowers, Doily (Michael's), Leaf Punch (Martha Stewart)

Magical Wishes Tilda

Happy Wednesday folks! I am on a roll this week - finally getting my Mojo back!! I have a new card using Tilda with Hawaiian Flower. (She is out of stock, but I am sure Tab will be getting back in the 7 Kids shop soon!)

I decided to try my hand at doing a dotty background. I think it turned out ok for my first try! The DP is Wisteria from Basic Grey. I used the tag DooHickey die and stamped it with a sentiment from the 1001 Nights (WOJ). The tag slides in and out behind Tilda. I inked the edges of the tag and the image with some SU ink. I used some Stickles of course and my favorite fern punch too!

Copics used:

E11, 00, 000, R30, RV04, 02, 00, 000, E57, 35, 53, 50, E44, 43, 42, 41, G24, 21, 20, BG13, 11, 10, R83, 81, YG97, 95

Supplies:

Stamps - Tilda with Hawaiian Flower, sentiment - 1001 Nights Set Whiff of Joy

Paper - Wisteria DP (Basic Grey), cardstock (SU)

Ink - Memento, Copics, Ink (SU)

Flutterby Butterfly!

Good Tuesday Morning to ya! Hope everyone is having a good morning so far....I am off to run some errands this morning and hopefully to come home and create some new cards too!

This is a card full of firsts!! This is the first time I have used Beautiful Tilda (perfect image for girl's birthday parties!! My boys are 6 & 7 and what girl their age wouldn't love a card like this?)

My second first on this card is that this is the first time I have created a crocheted border. It was simple, but a little time consuming. I love to crochet, so this was fun to bring 2 passions together. Directions for creating this border can be found on page 68 of the Will You Be My Valentine Magnolia Ink Magazine. My third first for today is that this is the first time I am busting out this new K & Co DP - Spring Blossom. The sweet sentiment is from Whiff of Joy's Aladdin set and can be found here. They are such pretty stamps and come with wonderful sentiments!! Very worth the investment! Lastly, I used some of my favorite items on this card as usual: fern punch, WOC flowers, and distresser tool.
It would not be a card without Stickles of course!!

Copics used:
E11, 00, 000, R30, G24, 21, 20, R83, 81, W5, 3, 00, E35, 53, 50

Supplies:

Stamps - Beautiful Tilda, Sentiment - Aladdin (Whiff of Joy )

Paper - Spring Blossom (K&Co), cardstock (SU)

Ink - Memento, Copics

Accessories - Stickles, Nestabilities, Fern Punch, WOC Flowers, Distresser Tool, oval punch (SU)

Just The Way You Are!!

Happy Wednesday, y'all! Sorry I have been MIA lately....life has just gotten in the way of my crafting time. I did get to sneek away this weekend with a good friend of mine to drive down to S. FL and take Suzanne Dean's Beginner and Advanced Copic classes! Wow! I learned a ton in the 2 classes and it was neat to finally meet her since I have served on 2 DT's (we are still both on the 7 Kids team) together.

Anywho....I do have something quick to show you today. I was asked to make a custom album for someone on Etsy. I wanted to share the pictures of it with you today. I really enjoyed making it. I have had this paper for a long time and never used it. I tend to stick to more muted colors, but I love the way it turned out!!
the cover has a lot of chipboard letters that I painted and distressed. The inside pages are filled with paper flowers, bling, button, and more chipboard shapes. Oh yeah, who could forget the ribbon?? I am not going to apologive for loving RIBBON!! Even on boys albums...just deal with it peeps!

Hope you liked this one! I am working on a Zoo album now....Not sure if I am going to sell it yet. It is super cute! Well, I am off to work on some Easter cards!
Hugs,

Lady Tilda

Happy Tuesday! It is rainy here today, so I am getting some scrappy stuff done!! Yay!

I have a new Tilda easel card to share with you. I finally inked up Lady Tilda and the Castle Background. I bought these stamps when they first came out several months ago and finally got to them! LOL - I really need to get better about inking things immediately! These beautiful papers are from the Memory Box Gossamer collection. I paired it with some Pale Plum (SU), and Spring Moss (PTI). I used a distressing tool to distress all of the edges. The purple flowers are Prima and the white ones are Wild Orchid Crafts. You can get the fern punch here.
I really like how the coloring turned out. For the ground and bushes, I did a series of dots and then blended them with a lighter color.
Here is a sideview of the Easel card. I love these cards because they pack such a punch, but are really simple to make!
I computer generated the sentiment and distressed it too.

Be sure to stop back by tomorrow!! 7 Kids has a brand new Challenge being issued and it is sure not to disappoint!

Supplies: (Most of the supplies can be purchased HERE at 7 Kids College Fund)
Stamps - Lady Tilda, Castle Background (Magnolia Stamps)
Paper - Pale Plum (SU), Spring Moss (PTI), Gossamer DP (Memory Box)
