Sweet Tilda Birthday!!

Happy Saturday night, y'all! Hope everyone is having a nice weekend so far. We had a pretty relaxing weekend. The kids just started soccer practice last week and the games start next weekend. With 3 soccer games every Saturday and a lacrosse game every Sunday, we will be plenty busy! I just wanted to have some down time before it got crazy!

I made this Sweet Tilda card for the Magnolia March Homepage Challenge. The challenge was to create something bright and I think this fits the bill!
The DP is from my new MME Home stack that I bought at Michael's a few weeks ago. I paired it with some Old Olive and Rose Red. I used a MS border punch, one of my crocheted flowers, some fern punched leaves (of course!) and some polka dot ribbon. This DP is so busy and sparkly, I did not think it needed much more! The sentiment is from Savvy Stamps.
Here is a close-up of Sweet Tilda. I think I used pretty bright & bold colors - a little out of the box for me! I masked her off and created the background using my Copic ABS. I love that thing! When I first got my Copics, I said I would NEVER need the ABS - boy was I wrong! I can't believe I waited so long to get it. The Tilda image was cut out using some new Nesties that I got for Christmas - better late than never to use them, right?
Here are the Copics I used. In addition to them, I used some white gel pen for some dots on her cheeks.

I have had fun working on this challenge. I always want to play along on challenges, but I get so busy that by the time I get around to working on it, the challenge is long over! One of these days life will slow down and I will have more me time! Ha - maybe in 20 yrs! :)

Happy Saturday y'all! Hugs, ~Tori

PCS New Rubber & Digi Release!!

Happy Thursday, y'all! Hope everyone is staying warm and toasty today! I saw that the NE is supposed to get lots more snow. My in-laws outside of Philly are expecting about 18 more inches!! Too much of the white stuff for me. It is cold here in FL again, too. But, at least Parker's soccer practice was cancelled last night - it was 50 degrees and pouring. I did not feel like coaching a bunch of 6 yr olds in that mess!

Today, Pink Cat Studio is releasing new Rubber Stamps as well as new digi's!! You can shop for the new Rubber Stamps here and the new Digi's here. Lily just loves to dress up and she has some super cute outfits! My first project uses the Lily Butterfly image. I thought the sentiment was screaming for some chocolate kisses, so Lily is sending you chocolate butterfly kisses!

I picked up a few of these acetate boxes at my LSS last year. They are perfect for a small treat for a teacher, etc. I pulled out some Basic Grey Lily Kate DP for this set. Pink Pirouette pairs nicely with these papers. I added some leaves (MS & EK Success punches), some primas and some bling to embellish this card. I cannot forget all of the Stickles I used on her wings! Gotta have shimmer when you are talking about butterflies! I colored Lily with Copics and cut her out. I popped her up with some 3-D foam tape over the oval. It is hard to tell, but I airbrushed the oval with some RV000. Here is a close-up of the treat. I used the MS Doily Lace border punch to make a belly band for the box. For the top, I added some primas, leaves and bling to tie it together with the card.

Here are the copics I used for this card:
For card #2, Lily is dressed as a bumble bee. I could not resist making another shaker card for this one! Ask my former neighbor, Bev, I have always loved making shaker cards. I have not been her neighbor for almost 6 yrs and I made them back then too! Miss you Bev! This is another shape of shaker card offered by Impression Obsession. I filled it with some micro beads, yellow & clear seed beads and some yellow and black flowers I punched. I used Yo Yo Yellow, Whisper White (for layering only - I only color on either PTI or Gina K paper), and some PTI polka dot DP. I airbrushed the little yellow flower since I did not have the right shade and layered it on a white flower and added a black brad to the center. A card from me isn't complete if it doesn't have some fern leaves! LOL! The flourish is a QK die. Isn't that such a sweet sentiment?
Here is close-up of this cutie! I just love her bee-hive hair do! I am branching out and trying to make more of my girls brunettes. I am a blonde and I think it is natural to go with what ya know, but I am stretching my wings! :)

Here are the copics used for this card:

My final card has Lily as a LadyBug! Yes, I know I have used lots of polka dots tonight! I just could not help myself with these cute images! Melissa has all of these wonderful free sentiments available here. I used some Pure Poppy, black, Whisper White and some more polka dot DP from PTI for this card. The lacy border punch is by MS. I layered Lily on top of a panel that was embossed with a CB folder.I cut Lily out to give this card lots of dimension. Her antennae were too delicate to cut around, so I cut them off and added some wire in their place. I only had silver wire handy, so I colored it with a Black 100 Copic marker. I cut the red balls out and stuck them on with a glue dot. I added Stickles to all of her black polka dots and some white gel pen to her cheeks.

Here are the Copics I used:

Here is a picture of everything being released, so pop on over to her shop and check them out along with the other DT members' blogs (addy's on the right hand side)

Gotta run! Have a great day! ~Tori

My First Magnolia Card!!

Happy Wednesday, y'all! Hope everyone is having a great day! We had some beautiful FL weather Monday & Tuesday, it is supposed to rain today and the temperatures are supposed to be back in the 30's at night and upper 40's during the day. Dear Mother Nature, I did not sign up for this when I decided to move to FL!! LOL!

Well, I have something exciting to share today...I have been checking out Magnolia Stamps for quite a while, but never took the plunge until now! I have finally ordered a bunch of them. This is currently the first one I have, but many more will be gracing my mail box soon! This is my very first Magnolia card. I am pleased with how it turned out. The only thing that would have made it better is if I had my sewing machine, but it is still in the shop.

I am in LOVE!! I had so much fun coloring this image. One of the things I love about Maggies is that they have such detail - so much fun to color and add that dimension with shading. I decided to try use up some of my retired SU Afternoon Tea DP. I have so much SU DP and totally forget about it. I love, love, love Basic Grey and tend to only reach for it. I recently gave my office a long-overdue overhaul and found the SU DP. I paired the DP with some Soft Sky and Chocolate Chip cardstock. The sentiment is from SU's Live Your Dream stamp set. I distressed the edges of all of the DP and sponged it with a little Chocolate Chip ink. The flower is one of my hand crocheted flowers. (if you are interested in some of them, see my Etsy store link on the right) I added a brad and of course some of my signature fern leaves! The leaves and border punches are Martha Stewart and the oval punches are SU. I also added some Groovy Guava ribbon. Here is a close-up of this sweet Tilda. I used these colors to color her: R00, 01, 02, 05, 20; E0000, 000, 00, 11, 30, 33, 35, 37, 39, 40, 41, 42; BG10, 11; Colorless Blender 0. I cut her out and popped her up with some 3-D foam tape.

Here is a close-up of the crocheted flower. This is a little bit different pattern than what I currently have in my Etsy store, but will be adding some of these soon.

***Etsy Update***

I have added some new colors of crocheted flowers along with lots of new cards!

Spring Mix - set of 8 flowers

This set of 8 flowers coordinates with PTI's cardstock: Hibiscus Burst, Lemon Tart, Spring Moss and Aqua Mist.

Yellow flowers - set of 5 crocheted flowers
These flowers coordinate with SU's So Saffron cardstock.
See my Etsy store for more info and photos.

I would love to hear some feedback on my first Magnolia card! Have a wonderful day! ~Tori

A Gorjuss Birthday!

TGIF to ya! I am so happy it is Friday! It has been a long week for me and I am really looking forward to the weekend!

I have a new birthday card to share with you today. This Gorjuss Girl stamp is not new, but it is new to me! My good friend, Lesley, let me borrow a set of them to give them some love. (Thanks, Lesley!!) I really wanted to do some sewing on this card, but my sewing machine broke yesterday while threading the bobbin. I did take it in to the shop and it will be back in about a week. It is a dinosaur, but a wonderful machine - I think it was made in the 50's! They don't make them like that anymore. Oh well, I could not wait to use my new MME Home DP from Michael's. I picked this up last week - it is so pretty and sparkly! It goes great with Always Artichoke, Confetti White (both SU) & Summer Sunrise (PTI). I cut this Gorjuss girl out and popped her up on the background. This particular stamp also had a bird on it, but I did not want to use that part on this card. Ok, I put lots of elements on this card - hopefully it's not too busy! I used primas, pearls (Martha Stewart), my beloved fern punch (MS), Nesties, a CB embossing folder, and my newest punch by MS - doily lace punch. I have been drooling over that punch for a while and finally took the plunge - I {heart} it! Here is a close-up of this sweetheart. The 'spot' above her head is not a mess-up, it's actually a part of the paper. Confetti White card stock has lots of little spots & dots in it. I sponged some Summer Sunrise around the oval. I used the following Copics on this girl: Skin - E0000, 000, 00, 11, R20; Dress - Y32, 35, 38, Copic Blender 0, G21; Hair - E50, 53, 55

I will be adding this to my Etsy store soon!

Have a wonderful weekend! I hope to be back to show you more goodies this weekend! :) ~Tori

St Patty's PCS Style!

Hello again! I am busily watching the Olympics tonight and finishing up some new stuff. Due to some schedule changes, I was not able to play along with PCS' Digi release last week, but I had to create some cuteness with these digi's!

You can find all of the new digi's HERE. For my first card, I used Itty Bitty Betty - Pot of Gold. I found some of my St Patty's DP from last year made by Best Creation Inc. I paired it with some Garden Green cardstock. I created the lighter green paper by airbrushing a white sheet with some YG03 and then sponging some Kiwi Kiss over it. I created the sentiment on my pc and airbrushed it with some G82. I just had to give Betty some little bows. To get them small enough, I cut them in half (width-wise), so it would be skinnier and then tied it and cut them short. I masked her off and airbrushed the background with G82 & BG000. I used the following Copics to color Betty: G20, 82, 85, 99; YG21; E000, 000, 00, 11, 30, 33, 35, & 37; R20; C1, 3, 5, & 7.

For my 2nd card, I used the Owl Leprechaun Digi Image:Isn't he adorable? I used the same papers, just different patterns in the same line. I created this sentiment on my pc too. I used lots of gold brads to make it shiny! I did not have the right color of paper for this either, so I airbrushed a white piece with Y00, so it would coordinate. I swear, one of the best things I ever bought was my Copic Airbrush System (ABS) and compressor. I don't know how I functioned without it before! LOL!Here is a close-up of Mr. Leprechaun. I colored him with Copics and added some clear stickles to his gold and then some Lime stickles to the shamrock on his pot of gold. It's hard to tell, but I added some Liquid Glass (CTMH) over his eyes. I masked off Mr. L and airbrushed the background with the same colors as above. I used the following Copics to color Mr. L: G20, 82, 85, 99; YR16; YG21; E000, 000, 00, 11, 19, 30, 33, 35, & 37; R20; C1, 3, 5, & 7; Y08.

These 2 cards will be added to my Etsy Store tonight if you are interested in them.

Gotta run, snowboarding finals are on! It looks like Team USA is dominating so far! Louie Vito just had an awesome run, Lago rocked it and my fave, the 'flying tomato', himself is coming up soon! ~Tori

Hoppy Easter!

Happy Tuesday to ya! It is a beautiful sunny day here in FL, even if the temperature is only around 50! I have enjoyed watching the Winter Olympics this week, although I have missed a few of my fav shows. If you are watching the Olympics, what is your favorite event? Mine is halfpipe snowboarding (Go Shaun White & Gretchen Bleiler!) - can't wait until they start tonight. I have spent the day working on new stuff and I got some fun new stuff in the mail today - yipee for the mailman!

Since it is so sunny today, I had to make a "spring-y" card! I used a digi image Melissa released a few months ago, but I think it works perfect for Easter. This is Princess Bunny. Isn't she a cutie-pie? I pulled out me MME Summer Song DP that I bought back in December. It's very "spring-y" and glittery! The base of the card is Summer Sunrise (PTI). I used the MOJO70 sketch for this card - you can see all of the Mojo Monday sketches for 2009 here. My Martha Stewart Loopy Border punch got some love on this card - I have so many punches and do not reach for some of them often enough! I created the sentiment on my pc and airbrushed it with Y38.Here is a close-up of the sweet bunny. I created a mask and airbrushed the sky using BG000 and the ground using either YG25 or YG13. I put my Copics away before I wrote them down. Ms. Bunny was colored with E37, 35, 33, & 30 and R20 & 000. The carrot is YR16 & Y38, & YG25. I added a little clear stickles to Ms. Princess' crown - every princess has to have a little bling! :)

Supplies: Stamps - Princess Bunny - PCS Digi, sentiment - computer generated; Paper - Summer Sunrise, Stamper's Select White (PTI), MME Summer Song DP; Ink - Copics; Accessories - Nesties, Copic ABS, Ribbon - Offray, Loopy Border Punch - Martha Stewart, Stickles

**I will be adding this card to my Etsy Store soon!
I still have crocheted flowers available in several colors too.**

Hope you have a great rest of the day and GO TEAM USA!! ~Tori
