Witchy Halloween

I threw together one last Halloween card today! Isn't this witch so cute? She is from the The Angel Company set "TrickorTreaters." I stamped her with black staz-on and colored her in using Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol - this is my first attempt at this technique and I think it turned out cute!
Supplies:
Stamps: TAC - Trick or Treaters; Ink: staz-on; Paper - Kiwi Kiss, Black, Pumpin Pie, Elegant Eggplant, Naturals White; Misc: Ribbon, ticket punch, circle punch - SU, Nestabilities, CB Embossing Folder, Prismacolor Pencils, Gamsol, Cropadile. Altered Haunted House

I made this Altered Haunted House for a Halloween gift swap that some friends and I did over the weekend. Wow - we have some talent in our group - all of the altered things were so cool!

See below for more info!

This was a wooden "princess" castle that I turned haunted! :)

Most of the 'characters' and 'candy' were hand cut from the patterned paper. My fav page is the 'Monster Bash' on the last 2 pages! :) There's even a Starbucks card tucked into one of the pages! :)

Supplies: Paper - K & Co.; Stamps - drink stamps - StampCraft, Witchy Cat - Stampendous, Black Cat - JudiKins; Ink - Staz-On, SU Markers, Blender Pen; Misc - Ribbon, Rings, Dimensionals, QK dies (Pumpkin, Bats), White Gel Pen, Punches - SU, Stickles, Black Paint TFL! :)

Live Your Dream - Wild Wasabi

Okay, so maybe I am going a little 'retro' lately with the retired DP, but I am a confessed hoarder and trying to use my stash of retired stuff! I made a set of 5 of these for a Christmas present. I am packaging them in clear boxes from PaperTrey along with envelopes and decorating the outside of the box as well. I have others done in which I will post a pic of the finished boxes.

Supplies: Stamps: Live Your Dream; Paper: Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky, Choc Chip, Afternoon Tea DP, Whisper White; Ink: Choc Chip, Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky; Misc: Wild Wasabi Ribbon

Dream - CC187

Happy Friday!! :)
Here is the card I made for CC187. These colors are so pretty together! I am excited to finally get some ink on my new stampscapes stamps! This is another brayered background (one of my fav techniques!)
Technique: I brayered on So Saffron on the top part with the bottom part masked off. I then masked off the sun using a circle punched out and layered Tangerine Tango. I removed the bottom mask and brayered on KK. I then stamped the images and sponged CC around the edges of the card. I then stamped the sentiment.
Recipe: Stamps - Stampscapes (palm stalks, palm leaves, 'Dream' - Technique Tuesday; Paper - Whisper White, Choc Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango; Ink - So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss, Choc Chip; Misc - brayer, circle punch, sponges

How about a fishy post??

I have not posted any fishing pics (only the pics of my mounts), so I thought it was time to do so!! I guess I am missing fishing - I have not been since April when I was in Aruba!

I caught this barracuda in Key West in 2002 during a trip my hubby and I took for our anniversary! (That is the 1st mate, not my hubby!)

Fall is here...sort of!

Well, Fall was sort of here today...it was 63 degrees at 6:30 AM when I took Katie to the bus stop. It's now about 77!! Gotta love FL weather!

This is one of my favorite stamp sets right now! The color scheme came from Kristine Werner's blog: http://kwernerdesign.com/blog/2008/10/color-inspiration-23-1.html. The sketch is for the SC196 from SCS! I thought the Vanilla looked a little harsh, so I inked it with some Kiwi Kiss to soften the look. It's hard to tell, but I stamped the pumpkins on vanilla and then stamped it again on watercolor paper and then watercolored it and layered it on top of the vanilla using pop dots.
Recipe: Stamps - Cats & Bats - Inkadinkadoo, "Fall" - Technique Tuesday; Paper - Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, watercolor paper; Ink - Kiwi Kiss, Choc Chip, Staz-on, SU Markers - Pumpkin Pie, Really Rust, Aqua Painter; Misc - nestabilities, oval punch (SU), fern punch (Martha Stewart), linen thread, Old Olive Ribbon, Swirl CB folder, sponges

Gratitude, CC185

I bought this stamp set a while back and have not really used it! I love the 2-step look! This was made for CC185 from SCS. I ran the VV through the CB using the Swiss Dots folder and then sponged Baja Breeze over the dots. I lightly sponged the edges of the other VV panels. I hand cut the flower on the left and popped it up.

Recipe: Stamps - Spiral Bouquet - PaperTrey; Paper - Very Vanilla, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze; Ink - Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Point, Old Olive; Misc - Swiss Dots CB folder, Old Olive Twill Ribbon, Ticket Corner punch, corner rounder, sponges, pop dots
