Happy Friday!

Sorry, I am not going to tease you...I have no new cards to post today.....

I have been busy making new stuff, but have not had a chance to post it. I promise to 'get my post on' this weekend! LOL! I feel like a slacker...a slacker with no Starbucks... Ha! It's the end of Day 2....No Starbucks and truthfully, I have not really missed it. I hope the rest of the 44 days goes this smooth! LOL!

Have a great weekend! Happy stamping and posting!

Happy Fat Tuesday!!

Happy Fat Tuesday, Ya'll!
Sorry I am not posting a card right now...maybe I'll have one tonight!
I had to bid farewell to a good friend for a little while.....

I am giving up Frappucino's for Lent - so I had to have one last one!! I am savoring it - yum! For those of you that know me locally, you know how hard this will be.....I have a Starbucks (with a Drive-Thru) at the entrance to my neighborhood!! It is so easy to grab one on my way out. I wanted to give up something really difficult in order to set a good example for my kids. I get them about 3 times a week, so I thought I would create a money jar, save the $3.71 I spend on each one and spend it after Easter on Copics or something fun like that! I think that's a good plan!
So for now....Goodbye, good friend (sniff, sniff), Goodbye....
So my question to those who observe Lent, what are your giving up? Leave me a comment on my blog!

Relax!

Ahhh, it's Thursday! That means Friday is right around the corner! I would love to be doing what Riley is doing right now! Looks so relaxing....
This is for SC215. I think it turned out really cute! Here's the skinny on this one: I stamped Riley (www.HannaStamps.com) on Whisper White, colored with my copics and then sponged Baja Breeze around the image. I then, layered him using my rectangle nesties and added 3-D foam tape to pop it up. The papers I used are Basic Grey Urban Prairie and Kiwi Kiss. The sentiment is computer generated and then punched using SU punches. I ran the kiwi kis strip through my Cb using the floral fantasy embossing folder and then sponged it with Baja Breeze. It's hard to see, but I added a little stickles to the cupcake!

Here are the copics I used!

More Valentines...and big news!

Happy Monday Y'all - I have big news!!
On Friday night, my 12 year old daughter Katie performed a flute solo and a flute trio with two other girls and earned a 'Superior' ranking for each at Solo & Ensemble!! The students have practiced all year for this performance and received the highest ranking available. She is on Cloud 9! This is her second year playing the flute and she really loves it! ( I don't have any pictures since she did not want me to mess her up!)
Here are some more CC Designs cuties! I swear, I could use these girls all year! I used Pink Pirouette, Cool Caribbean, Whisper White, and Basic Grey Blush. I used the same sketch for both. I used my copics to color these sweeties and layered them using my Nesties. I used the Swiss Dots CB folder on the Pink layer as well as Creative Impressions swirl ribbon. I added some stickles to the wings!
Here is my second one - this little bunny is really cute! I might have to use him for Easter too!
Here are the copics used:

Have a great night. I am off to watch NCIS and start creating somethin' else!

Valentine Teacher Gifts!

Okay, I am soooo behind on my stamping and Valentines stuff!! I am finally about 85% better, but still have a hefty cough and some congestion...
Anyhoo, I made these Box in a Bag's for teachers gifts for my kiddo's Valentines parties. I think they turned out really cute for my first time ever making them!
Here is the tutorial for them - they are so easy! :)
I used my cute Gingersnaps & CC Designs Digi Downloads on Whisper White CS, layered using my nesties on Cool Caribbean. The DP is Basic Grey's Blush - 'goin' Old Skool' (sorry can't get Will Smith's character out of my head from Shark Tale right now!!) I used my Fiskars Threading Water border punch as well as my rounded-tab punch on Riding Hood Red for the bottom of the box. The ribbons are misc.
I went back and stickled the wings of these cuties after taking the orig pics, so here is a close-up of each! I filled them with Ghirardelli Chocolates - yum!

Copics used: E00, E37, E51, R00, R20, R46, BG10, Bg15, Y21, Y26, 100, C1

I got my inspiration from Jennifer Love's Blog - go check her out! Thanks for the inspiration girl!

Happy Tuesday! Hopefully I will have more goodies to share later this week!

Cupcakes...YUM!!

Ok, so I thought I was 'back from the dead', but I relapsed and now have a yucky sinus infection! No big deal for most people, but I am allergic to all antibiotics, so no meds to clear it up for me! I finally felt up to getting up to my studio a little yesterday and worked on this Riley card. I am just now getting it posted, though. Hope you enjoy it!
Anyhoo, I finally got around to inking this cutie up! (I wish somone would make me a batch of steamy cupcakes....chocolate icing please!) LOL!

This is sketch SC213 on SCS. The base of the card is Pink Pirouette and I used the new Basic Grey Bittersweet along with some Whisper White. I lightly sponged Pink Pirouette around the image that I colored with my copics. The border punch and scalloped heart are Martha Stewart punches (love 'em). I used my square & ribbon tag trio nesties as well as another MM head pin. The ribbon is creative impressions. I added a little stickles to the cupcakes. Oh yeah, the sentiment is from the cupcake set by Stampendous!

Here are the copics I used - click on the pic for a better peek.

Thanks for looking! Have a Happy Thursday!
