Sweet Little Sick Mouse

TGIF, y'all!! I tell ya, I am so glad the weekend is here! I am growing a little tired of soccer & lacrosse practices 5 days a week and games 2 days a week! At least my daughter's soccer game got re-scheduled on Sat - that means we only have 2 soccer games on Sat! She does still have her lacrosse game on Sunday and a team party afterward - if it's not one thing, it's another! How many more days of school?? I am getting so ready for summer.

Okay, back to Earth....I have a new image from Whiff of Joy to show you today. The Get Well Collection will be available starting May 1st.

Isn't she the sweetest little sicky? I used some Basic Grey Lemonade DP along with some Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, and Purely Pomegranate. The sentiment is a free digi image from Pink Cat Studio. I inked the edges of the image and sentiment with some Kiwi Kiss. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the other flowers are Primas. Of course I used my MS fern punch - as I do on all of my cards. This sketch came from Jacque. It just fit this image perfectly! Here is a close-up of my little mousie. I colored her with the Copics listed below. On a side note, I wanted to share with you a decoration I made last night for my daughter's school band. Each year, her school band sponsors a dance. This years theme is Fiesta since it is 2 days after Cinco de Mayo. It measures about 13" in diameter and was made using squares of tissue paper. I cut the tissue paper into 2" squares and glued them all over the circle. I cut the letters out using my Cricut. Good to finally put it to some more use! Thanks for stopping by! ~Tori

Happy Mother's Day Tilda

Happy Hump Day, y'all! Hope everyone is having a fine Wednesday so far! I am stopping by briefly to show you a Mother's Day card I made for my Grandmother In-Law. I am trying to get these whipped out a little early since I have to mail them to PA.
I am submitting this card for Just Magnolia's Anything Goes challenge this week. This is Tilda Holding Lilacs and she is available over at Magnolia-licious. I used some more of my new Basic Grey Going Green DP - one of my favs....I know I say it about all of their paper lines - LOL! I paired it with some more blush blossom & old olive cardstock. I added some Raspberry Fizz Flower Soft to her lilacs. The sentiment is by Great Impressions stamps. I airbrushed the hydrangea's with some R01. The roses are from Prima, the fern punch is Martha Stewart as well as the border punch.
Here is a close-up of this sweet girl. I colored her with Copics and added some glitter to her wings.
This is the inside of the card. I created a panel to write a quick note and then created a pocket for a Barnes & Noble gift card. Mom-Mom is an avid reader, so I know this will get put to good use!
Here are the Copics I used. I did forget to add the ones for her hair and skin so here goes:
Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20
Hair - E50, E53, E55, E57
Patches - R20, R21, R22, R24
Okay, think I got them all now! I was really tired last night when I took these pics and was too lazy to re-take them! LOL!

Have a great day and be sure to stop by tomorrow to see a new Pink Cat Studio goodie!! ~Tori

Wishing You a Very Happy Birthday Tilda!!

Happy Tuesday night, y'all!! I will keep this pretty short tonight as I am about ready to crash. I also am very sore from 2 days of working out. It has been a while since I have worked out and am really trying to get into a routine. Anyhow, my knees feel like they are the size of watermelons from all of the cycling over the past 2 days! LOL! I guess there are worse things, eh? No pain, no gain, right? I'll take a little less pain and a lot more gain tonight, though! LOL!

This card features Sweet Tilda and Open Gate - I think they are on back order at Magnolia-licious right now - sorry!
I could not wait to rip into my new Basic Grey Going Green DP - lovin' it! It goes nicely with Blush Blossom and Old Olive. I airbrushed the hydrangea flowers with some R01 & YR15 Copic Marker. The sentiment comes from Amy R's Birthday Sentiments. The ferns and leaves are Martha Stewart punches as well as the border punch. I am submitting this card for Just Magnolia's Anything Goes challenge this week!!
Here is a close-up of Tilda. I masked her to stamp the gate and then masked it along with her to airbrush the sky with some B21 marker. I colored the ground with Copics - i did not airbrush this (shocking, I know! LOL!)
Here are the Copics I used - I promise I did not use the whole color line, but it sure felt like it when I started bundling these up to photograph them! I think this is the most I have ever used on 1 card.

Okay, going to bed now! Be sure to check back tomorrow - I will have a Tilda Mother's Day card to show you. On Thursday, I will be back with a PCS goodie - be sure to stop by then too!
Hugs, ~Tori

Make a Wish!!

Happy Saturday! I am off and running to soccer games today, so this is a pre-generated post. I am back today with another card from Whiff of Joy's 1001 Nights set. There are so many pretty images and some wonderful sentiments that go along with it.
I used the genie image, but cut the lamp off to create some space between the images. I used my Nesties and airbrushed the centers of each cut panel - one with V12 and the other with Y26. I am in love with this new Basic Grey Kioshi DP. Every time BG comes out with a new release, I tell myself I don't need it b/c I have too much paper all ready. Of course, you can see how well that rationing works with myself - LOL! No will power whatsoever when it comes to scrappy stuff. I paired the DP with some Pale Plum and Crushed Cherry SU cardstock. Other embellishments I used are fern punch (MS), brad (BG), Pale Plum ink, flourish punch (EK Success), Lace border punch (MS), and machine stitching.
Here is a close-up of Ms. Genie. She was colored with Copics (colors are below), cut out and popped up with some 3-D foam tape.
Here is a close-up of my tissue flower. I airbrushed it with some V12 Copic Marker. Here are instructions on how to make your own tissue flowers.
Here are the Copics I used.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great weekend! ~Tori

Tilda with Basket

Happy Friday, y'all! It is a beautiful day here in FL and I have a busy day, so I wanted to post this real quick!

I decided to create a shadowbox card. They are super easy to make and the instructions can be found here. The neat thing is they fold flat and still mail in an A2 (4.25 x 5.5) envelope!! I am entering this in the Just Magnolia Challenge for this week - Anything Goes! Wish me luck! I love Wild Orchid products!
This is Tilda with Flowing Hair and she is available over at Magnolia-licious. The background stamp is Summer Background, but appears to be out of stock at Magnolia-licious at the moment. For the background, I stamped it on watercolor paper with some Staz-on and colored it with Tim Holtz Distress inks in the following colors: Straw, Peeled Paint, Crushed Olive, & Tumbled Glass and an aqua painter. I have not done this in so long, but it was so quick and easy! I airbrushed the primas on the front panel with some R21 to match my Basic Grey Urban Prairie DP. The card base is Cool Caribbean cardstock (retired SU). The fern sprays are from my new Martha Stewart fern punch - so glad to have found another one since my first one broke!! The sentiment is from Amy R's birthday sentiments. I punched it out with a tag Nestie and airbrushed it with some BG000.
Here is a side view, so you can see the dimension.
Tilda was colored with Copics and cut out. I stuck her on the front panel of the card. I think she turned out beautiful! :)
Thanks for stopping by! I will be back tomorrow with a new card from Whiff of Joy! ~Tori

Shopping Birthday Diva!!

Happy Thursday, Diva's! LOL! This little owl is such a shopping diva! She is one of the new Digi images being released today over at Pink Cat Studio! I made this card for my MIL's birthday which is later this week.
I am in love with this new Basic Grey Kioshi DP!! It is so soft and pretty. I paired it with some Soft Sky & Pink Pirouette. The sentiment is from Amy R's Birthday sentiment set. I made the little flower in her hair by myself! It is very similar to the small prima roses you can buy. I made it using 5 small primas, a brad and some glue. Here is a wonderful tutorial that gave me the inspiration to create them! I did not have the color of flowers I wanted, so I airbrushed them with some Y00 & Y11 and then created the flower embellishment. I added a panel punched with a MS border punch and some Aqua Mist polka dot ribbon.
Here is a close-up of this Diva. I colored her with some Copics and sponged some Pink Pirouette ink around the oval panel. I added some Liquid Glass to Ms. Diva's eyes and some clear stickles to her eyelids - she's looking very saucy! For her hat, I colored it solid with Copics and then made hatch marks with my colorless blender to make it look like straw! I added a little liquid glass to her purse and added some clear dots with my colorless blender.
Here is the inside of the card. It has another sentiment in the birthday set.
For the top of the inside of the card, I created a pocket for a gift card. My MIL just got one of those Nook readers from Barnes & Noble, so I got her a gift card to download some books!

Here is a peek of the new Diva's being released today! Aren't they fab? Thanks for stopping by! ~Tori

Shopping Willow Birthday

Happy Wednesday, y'all! Hope your day is going well. It is beautiful here in FL, just wish I felt better. I have been battling allergies this past week and now feel as if I am getting a sinus infection - yuk! I don't even have a cold, just woke up with my sinuses burning and my upper jaw hurting... Oh well, too much to do today to worry about it!

I have another Willow card to share with you today. I am really loving the Whiff of Joy images. They are so intricate and fun to color. This is Shopping Willow.I thought this little diva was perfect with this sentiment from Amy R stamps! I know y'all are probably sick of seeing me use that set of birthday stamps, but they are my favorite birthday sentiments! I used some new Basic Grey Kioshi DP along with some Bashful Blue and Pale Plum cardstock. I found these small doilies on the cake isle at Walmart. I airbrushed it with a V12 Copic marker and my Copic ABS. I remember at one time thinking I would never need to airbrush anything, now I wonder how I ever managed without my Copic ABS and compressor!! LOL - funny how we change our minds! Oh, before I forget, this sketch is a Basic Grey sketch.
The mini roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the larger ones are from Prima. I did not have the color of primas I wanted, so I airbrushed some off-white ones. I also added some dew drops from Robin's Nest and some machine stitching around the DP.Here is a close-up of Willow. I airbrushed the panel behind her with some G20 & G24. Willow is cut out and popped up. Here are the Copics I used.

Thanks for stopping by! ~Tori

Aloha!

Aloha, y'all! Today is Thursday, so that means Pink Cat Studio has another digi release today!!

Today's images are all Hawaiian themed. There are also a bunch of new Free Sentiments to go with them! Melissa is the best!

When I saw this froggie image, I knew I had to create another Tent Card. It reminded me of the jiggly hula girls people have on their car dashes. I have not seen one in any one's car forever, but saw lots of them as a kid. Guess the fad has passed - LOL!! I had to pull out some of my favorite 'beach-y' DP from last summer by Making Memories. It goes well with Aqua Mist (PTI) and Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I used a hibiscus flower die from QK and the sentiment is from Hangin' Loose with Kona from Eclectic Paperie. The leaf punch is from EK Success. Here is a side view. I used some jump rings to connect Ms. Froggie.
Here is a close-up of Ms. Froggie. I colored her with Copics, cut her out and added bling and some Liquid Glass (CTMH) on her eyes and lips. I added a little white gel pen to her cheeks. On the inside of the card, I cut an oval nestie panel in white and airbrushed the background landscape with E31, E37, & BG000.

Check out the new Hawaiian inspired images!!

Thanks for stopping by to take a looksie! ~Tori

Tilda Unwrapped

Happy Wednesday, Ya'll! Hope everyone is having a good morning so far!

I finally have had a chance to create another Tilda card! I have been really swamped over the last few weeks with company, spring break, sports for my kids and DT work. I have not had much time to just sit and play. I am looking forward to some down time this summer to get back to creating.

This is Unwrapped Tilda. She was part of the Christmas collection, but is perfect for birthday cards too! I got her from Diana over at Magnolia-licious and she is currently in stock!!This sketch is from Friday Sketchers. I used some Pale Plum cardstock to go along with the We R Memory Keepers Madame Royale DP. I inked the sentiment and around Tilda with some Kiwi Kiss ink. The sentiment is one of Amy R's Birthday sentiments - hands down, one of the best investments I ever made! Tilda is layered on top of a Peony Nestibility die-cut panel. The bottom flowers are prima and the small roses on top are from Wild Orchid Crafts. Love, love, love this store and will be placing another order soon! I curled the 'tails' from the roses around a thin paint brush to create the squigglies! I finally found another Martha Stewart fern punch - my other one broke! The ribbon is from Offray.
Here is a close-up of this sweetie. I really like the soft colors on this card. I colored her with the following Copics:
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20
Dress & Socks- V91, 93, 95, E40, 41, 42
Box - E40, 41, 42, 43, 45
Hair - E50, 53, 55, 59
Wrapping - YG00, 21, 95
Shadow - W1, 3, Colorless Blender

This card is 5x5 in size and decided to leave it blank inside.

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your day! ~Tori

Sending Magical Wishes!

Hi there! How are ya on this fine Friday? It was a little stormy this morning, but it is glorious outside now and about 73 degrees! Who could ask for more? Well, if someone could make & ice my remaining 2 dozen cupcakes needed for my sons b.day party this weekend....that would be great! :)

I am back today with another Whiff of Joy card. I know 2 posts in consecutive days!! I am trying to hard to keep cranking out the cards!
I used the 'Jasmine-like' & flowers images from the 1001 Nights set from Whiff of Joy. I think this is the first card that I have not put a sentiment on the front, but I could not find a place for it!! LOL! I found some retired SU DP (Bali Breeze) that seemed kind of Moroccan to me. I paired it with some Pumpkin Pie & Taken with Teal. I used a newer CB embossing folder for the teal panel. The flowers are Prima, the button Basic Grey and the flourishes are QK.
Here is a close-up of this sweetie. I colored her with Copics and cut her out. She is popped up with some 3-D foam tape.
The sentiment is on the inside of the card! I could not leave one off entirely...The sentiment and shoe images are from the same set. I cut the shoes out and popped them up too. Here are the copics I used for this card:
Hope you are having a nice day! Gotta run - more cupcakes to make and ice! :)
hugs, Tori

Baby Thank You's

Happy Thursday, Y'all! I hope everyone is having a good week so far. I am a little behind on all of the things I need to get done for my company and birthday party this weekend, but it will all work out! :)

Since it's Thursday, that means Pink Cat Studio has new digi's released today!! You can shop for them here. I made a set of 3 baby Thank You cards. I think these babies are adorable!! The cards measure 3.75 x 3.75 and are blank on the inside. I used some Oh Baby Boy! DP from Basic Grey along with some Brocade Blue and So Saffron cardstock. The images were printed onto PTI Stamper's Select White cardstock. I used my Retro Flower punch and 'smooshed' the petals for a little dimension. The leaf punch is a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is from SU as well as the oval punch I stamped it on.

Here are some close-ups of the cuties. You can see in the close-up, I did some machine stitching too.

I was a little pressed for time this week, so I completely forgot to add some liquid glass to the baby bottles and rattles. I will go back and do this before adding them to my Etsy store.
Here are the Copics I used.
Check out all of the cuties Melissa drew! They are adorable! Be sure to check out the other DT members' blogs for more cuteness! :)

Have a great day! ~Tori

Pink Cat Studio Digi DT Call

Hi Ladies! Melissa over at PCS is having a Digi DT call!! If you love Lily, Billy and all of the other images as much as I do, see her blog for more info. The call ends tomorrow, but you still have a little time to apply!

Good luck!! ~Tori

Wishing You a Magical Day!

Happy Tuesday to ya! It is absolutely beautiful here today in sunny FL!! I wish I had more time to bask in the sunshine today, but I have lots of chores to do this week. We had company for 9 days that left on Easter Sunday, but have more company coming this weekend as well as my 5 yr old's birthday party and soccer & lacrosse games. The kids were off school yesterday for their final day of Spring Break, so we went to the zoo. The kids were really looking forward to seeing the new penguin exhibit that just opened. The penguins were very interactive and cute to watch! Everyone is back in school and I finally get a bit of a breather!

Today, I have a sneak of the new April Whiff of Joy kit available only here! Shipping will begin on April 15th. The kit is called "Scheherazade" - 1001 Nights by Elisabeth Bell. Of course, it reminds me of Aladdin - one of my kids favorite movies! This stamp set comes with 7 images and 8 sentiments. This is a perfect set for lots of birthday cards for boys & girls! I found some Basic Grey Hang 10 DP (way old stuff) for this card and paired it with some Soft Suede and some Old Olive. I used a 4x4 flourish die from QuicKutz for the flourishes along with some Prima crystals. I have a hard time on boy cards, b/c I want to put flowers on everything - LOL! I used a SU oval punch for the sentiment and inked it with some Colorbox chalk ink. Here is a close-up of "Aladdin" - not sure what his name is, but he looks like Aladdin to me! I colored him with Copics and cut him out. It is hard to tell, but I used a clear Copic Spica Glitter Pen on his sword as well as the domes on the buildings. I attached him with some 3-D foam tape. Here is a close-up of the background. I colored it with Copics, masked it and airbrushed the background. Be sure to check the Whiff of Joy blog on April 13th for a tutorial by me on airbrushing!
Here are the Copics I used on this card.

Hope you have a wonderful rest of the day! ~Tori

Happy Easter, y'all!

Happy Saturday, y'all! I totally forgot to post my new PCS card on Thurs! Oops! I have been so busy with my in-laws in town. We bought the boys a play set and have been working on me all week - aacckkk!! We have just the finishing touches to put on it. The paperwork said 10-14 hours with 2 people and it took 3 people around 24 hours! LOL!

Anyhow, on Thursday, Pink Cat Studio released some cute new Digi Images! This one is the Ladybug Party Tower.
Something about ladybugs makes me want to use lots of polka dots! The sentiment is another one of PCS' free sentiments! Check them out, she has tons to choose from. I inked the white edges with some Pure Poppy ink (PTI). I ran the white panel through my Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The DP is some PTI and the cardstock is Pure Poppy and Stamper's Select White (both PTI).
I colored the image with my Copics and then added some Stickles to their tummies and some Liquid Glass (CTMH) to their backs.

Here is a sneak of the images she released this week.

Hope you and your family have a Happy Easter!
~Tori
