Surf & Sand Beach Album

Happy Thursday everybody!! I am so ready for this long holiday weekend - how about y'all?? So to kick off an early weekend, I am posting a new beach mini album I recently made. It is listed in my Etsy store if you are interested.

It is a 6x6 mini paper bag album using some CI beach papers and embellishments I have had for a few years. I used lots of ribbon, ink, bazzill cardstock and even used my Cricut!! It has been so long since I pulled it out. I had to use use it for a school project for my son and fell in love with it all over again!! I used the Opposites Attract cartridge for the title. Scroll down to see the rest of the pages!! I love summer and the beach, so these are my favorite types of albums to make.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Have a Beachin' Birthday!!

Happy Wednesday, y'all!! I hope everyone is having a great day so far. I am a little under the weather this week. I managed to catch my 6 year olds sinus infection and was in bed for 18 hours yesterday. I am feeling better today, but still totally stuffy and resting.

7 Kids has a brand new challenge out today!!

Sketch with A Twist!!

Here is the sketch:
The twist is to make is Beach Themed!!

I decided to use Henry the Mouse with Cocktail from Whiff of Joy for my card. Doesn't his shirt scream beach??
This sentiment has to be one of my all time favorite sentiment by Stampendous. It's for adults only - a little too edgy for kids don't cha think? I don't use it nearly enough either. The papers are from a Junkitz travel set I have had for years. I inked all of the edges with some Really Rust ink (SU) and added lots of Stickles to Henry's concoction and around the image and sentiment. I added some Glossy Accents to his glass and his glasses. Die cuts are Nestabilities and the shell border punch is EK Success. Not sure where I got this charm, but 7 Kids carries some cute beach ones here.
Be sure to stop by challenge blog to see what the other talented 7 Kids ladies have cooked up!

Supplies:
Stamps - Henry Mouse with Cocktail (WOJ), sentiment (Stampendous)
Paper - PTI, Junkitz DP, Bazzill,
Ink - Memento, Copics
Accessories - Stickles, Nestabilities, Glossy Accents, PTI ribbon, charm, shell border punch (EK success)

Crocheted Washcloths!

Another quick post! Some of you know that along with paper crafting, I also love to crochet!! I am now offering crocheted washcloth/dishcloths in my Etsy store.

These are 100% cotton - soft enough for babies, but strong enough for scrubbing dishes! These make a great baby shower or house warming gift. Currently, I have these 2 sets available, but am working on some solid colored Spa sets!! These will be wonderful in your guest bathroom along with a nice soap!

They are machine washable and driable, but it is best to air dry them.

Set of 2 Pink, Brown and Cream Washcloths:

Set of 2 Yellow, Blue and White Washcloths:

I would love to hear some feedback on these!

Tilda Birthday Gift Card Holders

Good Thursday to y'all! Hope everyone is doing well today. I have a few gift card holders to quickly show you this afternoon. They are available for sale in my Etsy Store if you are interested. These cute gift card holders are perfect for holding cash or a gift card. I colored Mini Congratulations Tilda with Copics and cut her out with Nestabilities. I sponged some Razzleberry around the stamped image. The image has hook and loop tape behind it to hold the giftcard holder closed. Open it up to reveal the giftcard!
Here is a close-up of this cutie!

Inside of holder.

Here is the 2nd one I made using another paper in that retired SU line.

I can make these in any color combos you would like - just email me and let me know what you want! I can also pair them with a card to match too!

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping in!

Sparkly Day 7 Kids Challenge No. 21

Happy Wednesday, y'all!! It's another 7 Kids College Fund challenge day and I am so excited to used something other than a Magnolia stamp on a card. Don't get me wrong....I <3 my Maggie's, but 7 Kids has tons of fabulous other stamps in stock waiting to be loved too!! (sounds like a puppy at the pet store, eh?)

Our challenge this week is

Circles!!

**Create a circle card or use circles on your card.

I used one of the stamps in the Aladdin set from Whiff of Joy. This is such a perfect set - 14 stamps (including awesome sentiments I use on other cards all of the time!!) The sentiment on this card is from the same awesome set!

I could not resist making another Scalloped Easel card, this time using Circle Nesties. I airbrushed 2 doilies with some G24 and YG21 Copic Markers and then layered them under some Sultry DP from Basic Grey and some SU cardstock. I distressed all of the edges and then added Stickles all over. I swear I went through 1/4 of a bottle of Star Dust (my fav) on this card!

Copics Used: E11, 00, 000, RV11, 10, 000, 0000, C9, 7, 5, 3, G24, 21, 20, YG00, Y21, 26,

Here is the inside of the Easel card. I left it blank for a message.

Supplies:

Stamps - Aladdin Set (Whiff of Joy)

Paper - SU cardstock, Sultry DP (Basic Grey), Gina K. 120# paper

Ink - Memento, Copics

Flutterby Butterfly!

Good Tuesday Morning to ya! Hope everyone is having a good morning so far....I am off to run some errands this morning and hopefully to come home and create some new cards too!

This is a card full of firsts!! This is the first time I have used Beautiful Tilda (perfect image for girl's birthday parties!! My boys are 6 & 7 and what girl their age wouldn't love a card like this?)

My second first on this card is that this is the first time I have created a crocheted border. It was simple, but a little time consuming. I love to crochet, so this was fun to bring 2 passions together. Directions for creating this border can be found on page 68 of the Will You Be My Valentine Magnolia Ink Magazine. My third first for today is that this is the first time I am busting out this new K & Co DP - Spring Blossom. The sweet sentiment is from Whiff of Joy's Aladdin set and can be found here. They are such pretty stamps and come with wonderful sentiments!! Very worth the investment! Lastly, I used some of my favorite items on this card as usual: fern punch, WOC flowers, and distresser tool.
It would not be a card without Stickles of course!!

Copics used:
E11, 00, 000, R30, G24, 21, 20, R83, 81, W5, 3, 00, E35, 53, 50

Supplies:

Stamps - Beautiful Tilda, Sentiment - Aladdin (Whiff of Joy )

Paper - Spring Blossom (K&Co), cardstock (SU)

Ink - Memento, Copics

Accessories - Stickles, Nestabilities, Fern Punch, WOC Flowers, Distresser Tool, oval punch (SU)

Beachy Anniversary!

Happy Monday, y'all! hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far!! I am having a wonderful day and want to send out a HUGE thank you to our Service Men and Women!! They are so brave, so that we can be free!

I have an Anniversary card to share with you today. My parents anniversary is coming up and I just had to have these stamps! I did not have any wedding stamps before this and can see so many uses for these!!

I chose to do a beachy anniversary card because I have had this beach sand stuff . I used the Loving Bride and Groom and Wedding Background stamps from Magnolia for this card. The background was stamped and colored with Copics. I then, re-stamped the arch piece, colored it and cut it out. It is actually 3-D on the card. Tilda and Edwin are layered on top of everything else. I added stickles to the water, flowers and sun. The sand stuff at the bottom is from MuddPuddles and I bought it at my LSS. It is neat because it already has the adhesive in it and you just slap it on with a popsiscle stick and let it dry!
Here are the Copics used:
E11, 00, 000, R30, B95, 93, 91, 000, E57, 35, 53, 50, E43, 42, 41, 40, BG72, 11, 10, E37, 35, 33, 30, R05, 03, 01, Y38, 35, 32, YG97, 95, B000, 00

Here is the inside...kind of plain, but I left room to write a message!

Supplies:

Stamps - Loving Bride and Groom, Wedding Background, sentiment unknown

Paper - Bazzill, Kraft

Ink - Memento, Copics

Accessories - Stickles, Fern Punch
