Another Birthday Post!
Well, I could not wait to bust it open and use it! I used one of Lauren Meader's brand new Cash or Charge Timeless Template to make a gift card holder. There is a goodie inside - hee, hee!
Here is a close-up of the card. I used a cupcake stamp from a Hero Arts set. The sentiment is from Amy R's Birthday Sentiments. I colored the cupcake with R00, R01, R02, R05, E43, E47, YG17 & E50. This paper is so yummy! I used some Wild Wasabi along with the BG DP. I used some SU punches for the sentiment.
Here is a close-up of the gift card holder. I think it turned out cute! I used more DP from the same Basic Grey pad, more Wild Wasabi paper and ribbon and another Amy Sentiment.Sorry for the short post today - got a busy day today! Have a great day! ~Tori

Happy Birthday to me!
I always pair her with one of Amy R's birthday sentiments. This sentiment set is so versatile! I pulled out some more Basic Grey Indian Summer, some Chocolate Chip and Pink Pirouette cardstock for this card. The ribbon is PTI Berry Sorbet. I am addicted to this set of Nesties! I have used it a lot lately. The scallop border punch is Martha Stewart.
Here is a close-up of Bella. I colored her with my Copics and paper pieced the shopping bag. I masked her and airbrushed the background with some R20 copic ink.For my second card, surprise....I used EmmyBella again! LOL!
I used more BG Indian Summer. I have really had a hard time using this paper - it is beautiful, but when I would sit down to use it, I struggled matching it up with cardstocks and getting the patterns to gel with each other. Do you ever have that problem? Well, I decided to face it head on and challenge myself to use it up! I know this sounds bad, but I will be a little relieved when my 6x6 pad is gone! I really do like the colors, etc - it has just been my nemesis! I have been lurking around to see how others are pairing it up for inspiration. So, for this card, I paired these patterns with some PTI Berry Sorbet paper (but Cameo Coral is a good match too) and ink and some Chocolate Chip. Dark Choc from PTI is a great match too - just trying to use up my SU stuff first! I added some fern leaves, a PTI Chocolate button and one of my hand-crocheted flowers - getting low on these too - need to make more!
Here is a close-up of this Bella. I colored her clothes the same as the first card, but sponged Berry Sorbet around the image and added some Liquid Glass to her purse for more fabulousness!Supplies: Stamps - EmmyBella (StampingBella), Sentiment (Amy R - All That Scraps); Paper - Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, Berry Sorbet, Stamper's Select White (PTI), Basic Grey Indian Summer; Ink - Copics, Memento, Berry Sorbet; Accessories - Copic ABS, button (PTI), Berry Sorbet ribbon (PTI), fern & scallop border punches (Martha Stewart), linen thread (SU), crocheted flower (hand-made), Tag & Labels 4 Nesties, Liquid Glass (CTMH)

Celebrate The Day!

Anyway, I am still on a Basic Grey Lemonade kick, so I paired it with some Pretty in Pink and some PTI Aqua Mist. I think it is a very cheery card! I used a pink prima, some punches and a pearl to make a quick embellishment. I know I use this technique a lot, but it is so simple and packs a huge punch! I also added some lime green stickles to the spots around the cupcake and some clear stickles to the icing for lots of shimmer. Lastly, I added some Liquid Glass (CTMH) to the cherry on top!
I stamped the image multiple times so I could create lots of dimension with layers. The base is just the image stamped and colored; the second layer is the bottom part of the cupcake; the third layer is the icing popped up and lastly, the cherry is even popped up on top! I created the background by blending a few colors of BG and my colorless blender.
Here is a close-up of the layering:
My Mom never writes inside the cards I make. She includes a slip of paper inside with her hand-written note, so someone could re-use it if they wanted. She sent it to my Aunt last week and I got the nicest email about it. She has it displayed in her house and plans to send it to one of her cousins in Nov with a note about keeping it moving through the family. She wants each person to use a separate sheet of paper, so it can be used over and over. She wants to see where and to whom this card travels! Well, let me tell you, this warms my heart that they love my card so much AND I think it is a really neat idea! :)
Supplies: Stamps - Hero Arts; Ink - Memento, Copics; Paper - Pretty in Pink, Aqua Mist, Stamper's Select White (both PTI), Lemonade DP (Basic Grey); Accessories - Nesties, Lime Green and Clear Stickles, Prima, Pearl (Basic Grey), leaf punches - Martha Stewart & Ek Success, foam tape, sewing machine, Liquid Glass (CTMH)
Gotta Run! I will be back tomorrow with new digi's from PCS! Have a fabulous day! ~Tori

Cute New Digi's and a BIG Announcement!
Sorry I am late posting this, I came down with a yucky stomach virus Wednesday night and have been in bed since then. (The only reason I had a post yesterday was because I had time to pre-post it earlier this week! LOL!!)
Here is a sample I made using Itty Bitty Betty - Butterfly. She is so cute! My neighbor has a little girl that reminds me of her. She is 4 and often wears her ballet outfits to the bus stop to pick up her big sisters! She has a crush on my 6 yr old and often waits for him to get off the bus to give him a flower she just picked!
I printed Betty using my Epson Stylus CX7800 printer on PTI Stamper's Select White CS. I really like this paper the best for copics. I colored her with my copics and layered her with some Blossoms II Nestabilities. I ran the largest one through my cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. Of course, I had to use some more of my Basic Grey Lemonade stash along with some Kiwi Kiss and some Basic Grey pearls for her skirt, flower and on the tag. The sentiment from the Lily & Tweet Set.
Here are the copics I used:
Supplies - Itty Bitty Betty - Butterfly (PCS Digi), sentiment (Lily & Tweet - PCS); Paper - Stamper's Select White (PTI), Kiwi Kiss, Lemonade DP (Basic Grey); Ink - Copics; Accessories - Stitching, Swirl Ribbon (Creative Impressions), Pearls (Basic Grey), Word Window & Modern Label Punches (SU), Blossom II Nestabilities, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug)
Thanks for stopping by! I am off to the Land of Nod - my dd has an 8:30 AM soccer game and I am still not feeling 100%! Have a great night! ~Tori

Sweet as can be!
When I saw this image, I knew I had to have it and I had to use some of my new BG Lemonade paper! I also decided that my new Bermuda Bay paper along with some Pretty in Pink & Kiwi Kiss looked nice with it.Lastly, I used a Martha border punch and my sewing machine to add a little interest around the edges!
Here is a close-up of Kiki (whispering "La Rue"!!)Here are the Copics I used:

Supplies: Stamps - Kiki La Rue Digi & Sweet Treats (ATS); Paper - Bermuda Bay, Pretty in Pink, Kiwi Kiss (all SU), Stamper's Select (PTI), BG Lemonade DP; Ink - Copics; Accessories - Copic ABS, Boho Blossom Punch (SU), Lace Border Punch (Martha Stewart), Lemonade Glazed Brad (BG), sewing machine, Leaves (SU Sizzlit)

Have a 'Beachin' Birthday!
I had to pull out my Hangin' Loose with Kona set from EP one more time before summer is over! (Who am I kidding, I live in FL and it's still 90 degrees and will be hot until mid October/early November!) Kona was colored with my Copics and cut out. I airbrushed the oval, creating some clouds and added some real sand (yes, shark-bite capital of the world sand - a.k.a. New Smyrna Beach, FL) under his feet! The sentiment is from Stampendous - I bought it to go with some of my Changito Monkey stamps, but it is versatile! I looked way back in my stash for this old Basic Grey paper - I think this is one of the first sets they ever made. It is very masculine and thought it worked perfectly for this card. I paired it with Brocade Blue and Basic Grey (SU) cardstock. (click on the picture for a better view of the details!)
Supplies: Stamps - Hangin' Loose with Kona (Eclectic Paperie), Sentiment (Stampendous); Paper - Brocade Blue & Basic Grey (SU), Stampers Select White (PTI), Basic Grey DP; Ink - Memento, Copics; Accessories - Copic ABS, Sand (beach), Oval & Ribbon Tag Trio Nesties, Basic Grey Ribbon (SU)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now don't fall out of you chair, but.....I made a second card too!
I used Kona again and this time paired him with perfect, beachy-surfy paper from Scenic Route!
For some reason, I love this paper with this stamp set! I got the idea for this card from this week's sketch challenge from Little Paper Shop - LPSC32. I did not follow the sketch exactly, but used it for my inspiration!
I stamped Kona, colored him with Copics and airbrushed the background on. I decided to use sand on this one too. It looks darker on this card b/c I had already airbrushed a sandy look before deciding to add the sand. All of the layers were inked with VersaMark Chalk ink in Jumbo Java. I paired this Scenic Route paper with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Summer Sun cardstock.
Here are the copics I used for this card:
Supplies: Stamps - Hangin' Loose with Kona (EP), sentiment (Stampendous); Paper: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie & Summer Sun (SU), Stamper's Select White (PTI), Scenic Route DP; Ink: Copics, Memento, Versa Mark chalk ink - Jumbo Java; Accessories: Circle, Pinking & Ribbon Tag Trio Nesties, Copic ABS, Sand (beach), Chocolate Chip Twill (SU)
That's it for now! I do have another card to post, but have to cook dinner and get kids off to soccer practice in the next 45 minutes...so, maybe later, maybe tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by! ~Tori

More Chocolate!
Here Riley is pigging out on bon-bons on the couch - oh, the life...not a care in the world! LOL! Anyway, I used some new Basic Grey Lemonade along with some Aqua Mist (PTI), Kiwi Kiss (SU), and Stamper's Select White (PTI). The ribbon is Purely Pomegranate. I used my oval nesties to layer and sponged some Kiwi Kiss ink around the edges. I ran the Kiwi Kiss through my CuttleBug using a paisley print embossing folder. The sentiment is computer generated.
Here is a close-up of the piggy...I mean, moose! I popped Riley up using 3-D foam tape and added some Liquid Glass (CTMH) for his chocolates!
Here is a look at the computer generated sentiment on the inside of the card. I sponged some Kiwi Kiss on this too.Thursday, August 6, 2009
Shop 'til you drop!!
This is one of the stamps from the Miss Anya set. I used some more of the MME Bloom & Grow DP along with some Bazzill and Tangerine Tango. I really like the patterns in this collection - I like teal and orange together! I created the sentiment using the 'Ma Sexy' font off of the internet. It was sponged with Baja Breeze and layered onto some TT cut using a Ribbon Tag Trio Nestie. I also sponged some Baja Breeze lightly around the stamped image.
I got my inspiration for coloring her from Wicked Pixie! This girl has some skillz! Check out her blog, but be sure to bring a towel for the drool!Tuesday, July 14, 2009
Make a Wish...and some Cupcake Pops!
This is Changito Baker from Stampendous. Isn't he cute in his apron? The sentiment is another from Amy R's Birthday Sentiment's set. If you can't tell, I really {heart} her sentiment sets. Changito was colored with copics, cut out using Nesties and the background was sponged with Pink Pirouette. I cut the cake out and popped it up. I colored the icing and flames with Spica Glitter pens. The flower is another one of my crocheted flowers in Ecru DMC floss. I used the SU Sizzix leaf diecut for the leaves. The paper is Pretty in Pink, Gina K. 80# white and Basic Grey Sugared - going through some of my old stuff.
And now onto the Cupcake Pops!!I got the idea for these from Bakerella's incredible blog. I made these with my kids and my Mom yesterday. Mine are not near as perfect as Bakerella's, but this was my first try at these! I bet they are just as yummy, though! (Click the link for the recipe and directions.) If you have never heard of these, it is essentially cake mixed with icing on a stick dipped in chocolate.
My kids had so much fun making these!
Who, us? No, we have tasted anything!
Here is the finished product!
This is my oldest daughter and my Mom.
Need I say more?

Late...Again!....Fashionably, of course!
Bella is lookin' fab-o in her cool new clothes and matching purse! I used Amy R's Birthday Sentiments - it just screams to go with this stamp! I used up some prima's tonight along with some buttons - I have a large assortment of both and am trying to make room for some newer ones! I tied the buttons with pink crochet thread. The flourishes are a 4x4 die from QK. I used Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss and Basic Grey Sultry DP. I added a little Liquid Glass (CTMH) to her purse. It is hard to see (my photography stinks tonight - sorry too tired to re-take), but I sponged the background with some Pink Pirouette ink.See below for copics:

Fashionably Late
Amy R's Birthday Sentiments from All That Scraps came to the rescue with the 'fashionably late' saying! It goes perfect with this Stamping Bella 'emmybella' image. I used some new Basic Grey Porcelain with Mellow Moss and Pink Pirouette. The flower embellishment is one I crocheted and paired with 2 punches and a BG brad - the fern punch is Martha Stewart and the leaf punch is EK Success.
Here is a close-up of this shopping diva. I colored her with copics, cut out her bags and popped them up and sponged Pink Pirouette ink around the image. I added a little Liquid Glass (CTMH) to her purse. I think it's some designer pink crocodile looking thing.
Here are the Copics I used.
Supplies: Stamps - EmmyBella (Stamping Bella), Birthday Sentiments (Amy R for ATS); Ink - Memento, Pink Pirouette, Copics; Paper - Pink Pirouette, Mellow Moss, Basic Grey Porcelain, Gina K. 80# PL cardstock; Accessories - sponges, crocheted flower (made by me), BG brad, punches - word window (McGill), Fern (Martha Stewart), Leaf (EK Success), CB Embossing folder, Nesties, Liquid Glass (CTMH), pop dots
