Cowabunga Dude!

Happy Tuesday to ya! Hope your week is going well! I have a busy one. We just got back from the beach on Sunday and my friends flew back to TX - we had a blast visiting with them. In fact, we are already planning next year's trip! Tomorrow, my in-laws fly in and we will be off again on more adventures.

On a side note, I have BIG news....I made the first cut for the Guest Design spot for Hanna Stamps! Yay! I will have to create a 3-D project for the 2nd round, but am so excited to be included with the other talented ladies that were chosen. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Now, down to business...
Here is another Kona card from Eclectic Paperie. This little guy ROCKS! I am getting better with my Copic Airbrush techniques, but am low on air - oh well, that's how life goes, eh? Maybe I can get a compressor for Christmas - ha, wishful thinking! Kona was colored with Copics, masked and then I airbrushed the sky and sand. It is hard to see, but I used some Lemon and Orange atyou spica glitter pens on his surfboard - it is really cute in person. See below for a close-up. I used Pumpkin Pie, Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla, Scenic Route DP and Gina K 80# PL cardstock. The EK Success sandcastle border punch was one of the best things I have purchased lately. I punched it using very vanilla and then distressed it with Desert Sand ink (CTMH). I also used the wavy border punch from EK Success on the baja breeze and embossed it with the tiny bubbles CB folder.

Here is a close-up of him - isn't he cute?

Here are the Copics used.

Supplies: Stamps - Hangin' with Kona - Eclectic Paperie; Paper - Baja Breeze, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, Scenic Route DP, Gina K. 80# CS; Ink - Memento, Copics, Desert Sand - CTMH; Accessories - Brads - HL, CB embossing folder, punches - EK Success, SU (ticket corner), chocolate chip twill - SU, Copic Airbrush, sponge, nesties, Copic atyou spica glitter pens

Thanks for stopping by. Hope your summer is going great!

Snow Ski Riley

Good Wednesday Evening to y'all!
I hope you are having a good night - today was busy one for me!

Here is one last Riley for the Hanna Stamps DT call - I swear this is the last one!! LOL! I have really enjoyed making Riley cards.

This is Snow Ski Riley from Hanna Stamps. Isn't he a cutie? He will be hitting the slopes for me - the last time I went skiing, I ended up tearing part of my ACL and having knee surgery. This was back in high school, but I never went again. Maybe someday....The sentiment is from North Woods Rubber Stamps.

Riley was colored using Copics. His Hat and scarf are paper pieced and the pom-pom on his cap was covered in white fun flock. I masked the stamped image and then airbrushed the background using BG10 and my Copic Airbrush system - I {heart} that thing! I also added a little Stickles for the snow. See below for a close-up of Riley. The papers I used are: Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, Bo Bunny DP, and Gina K. 80 # PL card stock. The ribbon is Riding Hood Red.

Awe...

Here is a close-up of the snowflake embellishment I created. It is a ghost snowflake from Heidi Swapp. I covered it with Stickles and layered it on a circle that I embossed with a CB embossing folder. The rhinestone brad is from Deja Views. (it's red, but did not photograph well.)

Here are the Copics I used.

Supplies: Stamps - Snow Ski Riley - Hanna Stamps, Sentiment - Northwoods Rubber Stamp Co.; Paper - Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Bo Bunny DP, Gina K. 80# CS; Ink - Memento, Copics; Accessories - Deckled Nesties, Riding Hood Red Ribbon, Snowflake - Heidi Swapp, Stickles, Copic Airbrush, brad- Deja Views, Snowflake Embossing Folder - CB, Fun Flock

Thanks for looking!

More Riley Cards

Happy Saturday to ya! We had a nasty storm here a little while ago, which included a tornado warning. I am not a fan of this kind of weather! We had no damage, etc - just a scary hour. The kids were all hyper after remembering hanging out in the closet last summer through Tropical Storm Fay. We had tornado warnings like crazy and one spotted about 10 miles north of our house. I am glad that is over, but Hurricane Season just started again June 1st.

Here are a few more cards for
the Hanna Stamps Guest Designer call.
This is Baking Riley. Isn't he cute?
I just love a guy that knows his way around kitchen! LOL!

I colored him with my copics and added some Stickles to the tops of the muffins. (see below for a close-up) I made the card using the largest of my Labels 1 Nestie. The papers used are: Pink Pirouette, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey Eva, and Gina K 80 #. The sentiment is from the cupcake set by Hero Arts. After cutting out the stamped image with my Nestie, I sponged some Pink Pirouette around the edges.
Other supplies used were: CB Swiss Dots folder, Polka Dot Ribbon (ATS), Tri Flower Punch, Oval Punches (SU), bling (Kaiser Craft), sponges, Pink Pirouette ink.

Here are the Copics I used:

Here is the second one.

This is Couch Riley. He looks so relaxed!

I did not even know I had this paper! I was digging through my enormous pile of Basic Grey paper, when I came across a brand new 6x6 stack of Stella Ruby! I instantly thought of Riley on the couch eating candy! I also used Ruby Red and So Saffron - it was a great match! The image was stamped on Gina K. Pure Luxury 80# paper and colored with copics. I cut Riley and the couch out and layered onto some white cs that I airbrushed with Y21 & Y26. Then, I layered another Riley on top of the couch and added some Liquid Glass (CTMH) to his chocolates for some shine. The sentiment was computer generated, cut out with Nesties, embossed and airbrushed. I added some stitching around the outside of the layered DP.

Here is the inside of the card.

I created the sentiment on my pc, printed, cut out with Nesties and airbrushed. I layered it on more Stella Ruby DP.

Here are the Copics I used:

Add'l Supplies: Nestabilities, Tan Embossing Folder, Copics, Copic Airbrush System, sewing machine, foam tape

I am still keeping my fingers crossed that I get picked for one of the Guest Designer spots!

Thanks for stopping by! ~Tori

Riley times 2!!

Here are a couple of submissions for the Hanna Stamps Guest Designer Call.

This is Sleepy Time Riley!

He is so cute in his pj's - reminds me of my two little boys!

I colored Riley with my Copics and cut him out. He is layered on oval nesties, that was run through my CB with the Spot and Dots folder and then sanded. The sentiment is computer generated. I used Gina K. Pure Luxury 80# paper, Certainly Celery, and Basic Grey Oh Baby Boy DP. I also added PTI Ribbon and Dew Drops.

Here is a close-up of Riley.

I just adore his bunny slippers!

Here are the Copics I used:

Nighty-night, Riley!

On to card #2....

Here is Coffee Riley.

Aaahhhh, Relax...I am looking forward to some relaxing now that school is out...NOT!! But, I am hoping to getting scrappy more often now that I don't have to rush out every morning.

I colored Riley with my copics and then double layered the coffee mug and muffin. My next picture shows a close-up of the layering. I added a little stickles to the icing on the muffin, but it did not photograph well. The papers are Pink Pirouette, Mellow Moss, Gina K. 80#, Basic Grey Porcelain. The flower is one of my own crocheted flowers - I {heart} making these things! I added a BG glazed brad to the middle as well as some EK Success leaves and Martha Stewart ferns. The tag is a nesties ribbon tag and the sentiment is computer generated. The ribbon is Mellow Moss (SU). I also machine stitched a wavy pattern around the perimeter of the card.

Here is a close-up of Riley's coffee and muffin - maybe it's Starbucks?? LOL!

Here are the copics I used:

Keep your fingers crossed for me! I am hoping I get picked for one of the Guest DT spot!!

TFL!

Teacher Gifts

This weekend was another wet one in N. FL. I am so sick of the rain. This is not normal for it to rain this much. Two weeks ago, we got 20 inches in 1 week!! I am really tired of balancing the pool chemicals and draining the pool. Today is bright and sunny and I hope it lasts. Swim lessons are supposed to start this afternoon.

I finally got these done! School gets out on Wednesday, so now, I can relax and get back to playing around with my stamps! I got my new PTI order last week - I really like their products. This is the Teacher's Apple set. I picked this set because of the wonderful sentiments. I think they really show appreciation for a teacher's job.
These are cards for my boys teachers. They have both been phenomenal teachers and I am so appreciative for all of their time, talent and patience! I used: Lemon Tart, Spring Moss, Summer Sunrise, Sweet Blush, Ripe Avocado, Berry Sorbet and Polka Dot Parade DP. (All PTI) The ink is the coordinating PTI colors. I also used my Nesties.

I also made each of them a set of Thank you cards in a clear acrylic box (PTI) as part of the gift.
In addition to that, I put in some Mary Kay spa stuff. They will need it after teaching my boys! LOL! The above supplies were used in addition to a SU oval punch and "Thanks" - from the Live Your Dream set (SU). The box was really easy to decorate. I made a belly band using some Bazzill CS and added the same apple embellishment on the outside and viola - gift set! :)

Here are the teacher gifts I made for my daughter's teachers. I did something different, since she is in 7th grade and has 6 teachers (2 of which are male).
I just got this new Bag with Scallops die-cut in my last SU order. It makes the cutest little gift bag. I filled it with Hershey's Nuggets - yum! The thank you cards have $10 Starbucks cards in them. I figured the teacher's needed caffeine after dealing with a bunch of 7th graders! I still used the Teacher's Apple set, but decided to use some retiring SU In Colors - Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze with Urban Garden DP. On the little scallop flap, I added some Velcro so it would open and shut. I added a button from my stash and tied some linen thread through it. The ribbons were Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss.

Here is another variation on the same set using Haiku DP, So Saffron, and Tangerine Tango.
The ribbons used are Tangerine Tango and Apricot Appeal.

Have a great day!

Aloha!

Aloha, Y'all!! (LOL!)
Aaaahhhhhh, I am soo glad it is evening! I have been re-painting in my house all day - it's been 2 years since the house was built, so it was time to put a fresh coat on some hallway walls. My 2 little boys have left me lots of finger print 'love notes'!!

Look what came in the mail on Monday!! The new Hangin' Loose with Kona stamps from Eclectic Paperie. Isn't he the cutest? I fell in love at first site! I ordered them Friday, and received them on Monday!! What awesome service!!

This is a little switch for me since I usually make girly cards. I am happy to have some cool boyish stamps too! I colored Kona with Copics, added some stickles to the waves and cut him out using my circle nesties. I layered him on Summer Sun paper and then stitched some X's into the circle with some linen thread (SU). The card base is Pumpkin Pie and the DP is from Scenic Route's Grafton line.

Here are the Copics I used: Have a great night! Thanks for stopping by.

Seas The Day!

Good Tuesday Evening!

Hope everyone is doing well. With school almost out, I have been scrambling to finish teacher gifts - ack!! I have one done and hope to post it later.
I had to take a break from that and make another card using one of the Beachies sets from ATS!! I used the Mojo Monday Sketch #89.
This is the digi Emma from the Beachies II set. I thought this sentiment is so cute! It's another one from Amy R's Beach Sentiments set. I have always loved the "Carpe Diem" or "Seize the Day" quote. I think it is very profound. I finally got my PTI order!! YAY!! These papers are all PTI.

I colored Emma with my Copics and then masked her off and sponged on the background using Cool Caribbean (SU) and Desert Sand (CTMH). The flower is another one I crocheted last night. I {heart} these things! The card measures 4.25 x 4.25.

Here are the Copics I used: Supplies: Stamps - Beachies II, Beach Sentiments - ATS; Paper - Summer Sunrise, Lemon Tart, Polka Dot Parade - PTI, Gina K. 80# White; Ink - Copics, Ripe Avocado - PTI, Cool Caribbean (SU), Desert Sand (CTMH); Accessories - Nesties, Swiss Dots Embossing Folders, Brad (HL), Word Window Punch - SU, Crocheted Flower - homemade, More Mustard Ribbon - SU, sponges

Thanks for stopping by!
