Wishing You Peace

Hello All! Hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday! I am still at home with my son recovering. He never got really sick, but the meds have really made his stomach upset, so he doesn't want to eat, etc. We are so lucky, because he is considered high risk, because of his uncontrolled asthma.

Anywho, how about another Christmas card! This is another card from PTI's Tree Trimming Trio set. I know these are non-traditional Christmas colors, but I like something different for a change!
I used some more Kraft cardstock today - I like the look on other people's card, but when I sit down to use it, I draw a blank! Does that ever happen to you? Oh well, I am facing my fear head on! LOL! I stamped the tree on Kraft using Ripe Avocado and Dark Chocolate for the stump and had cut. I added some buttons in Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush and Spring Moss - all tied with some linen thread (SU). I had used so much of it lately, I am running out. I will have to get the PTI twine and see how I like it! The stars were stamped in Sweet Blush and Aqua Mist and had cut as well.

My card base is Kraft and layered with Ripe Avocado and some Aqua Mist that I embossed with a Cuttlebug folder and then stitched to the Avocado. When using stitching, I tend to sew the top two layers together and then adhere to the card base with adhesive, so the stitching on the back is not visible - I just like a clean look to the inside of the card. What is your preference?

I happily opened my new Tree punch from EK Success earlier this week and have been putting it to good use! (Gotta make sure it works, right? LOL!) I punched it and layered it with some Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DP and Sweet Blush Polka Dot ribbon.

I punched the tag with a Labels Trio, stamped the sentiment with Ripe Avocado ink and added the star embellishment to it.

I hope you enjoyed my non-traditional Christmas card! Have a great day! ~Tori

Joy & Wonder!

Happy Tuesday to ya! My son is doing better, but the Tamiflu makes you nauseous, so he has been struggling in that arena. We do have some anti-nausea meds for him and that is helping. Yesterday was beautiful in N. FL before the 90 degree weather finally set in. It was in the 70's and we get some of the ocean breeze, so it was awesome! The humidity seems to be waning, so that always makes it much better. Today's high is only supposed to be 83 and tonight it is supposed to get to the 60's - yay!!

Anywho, on to my card. This is one of PTI's new sets Tree Trimming Trio.
This set comes with 3 different trees and many different ways to embellish them. I stamped the sentiment on Kraft - it is from the Holiday Wishes Set. The background dots were stamped in Vintage Cream on Kraft - they are from Polka Dot Basics II set. The tree was stamped in Ripe Avocado on Vintage Cream cardstock. I added Pure Poppy buttons with some linen thread (SU) tied through them and a star stamped in Dark Chocolate. The tree border was punched from Ripe Avocado and a new punch from EK Success - love their punches; they cut like 'buttah'! I added some Dark Chocolate Cardstock and Pure Poppy ribbon to finish off this card. This card measures 4.25 x 4.25.

I am trying to get a leg up on my holiday cards, but am adding this one to my Etsy store. Be sure to check back later this week - I have some more cards from the Tree Trimming Trio set to show you!

Joy & Wonder Supplies: Stamps - Tree Trimming Trio, Polka Dots Basics II & Holiday Wishes (PTI); Ink - Ripe Avocado, Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream (all PTI); Paper - Pure Poppy, Kraft, Ripe Avocado, Vintage Cream, Dark Chocolate; Accessories - Pure Poppy buttons (PTI), linen thread (SU), Circle punches (SU), Pure Poppy Ribbon (PTI), Tree Border punch (EK Success)

Frightful - another PCS Digi!

Happy Monday night! I decided to squeeze in another Pink Cat Studio Digi! Aren't these just the cutest? You can check all of them out here. This is Frank & Vampire - reminds me of my boys last year. A neighbor of mine dressed up a storm trooper and handed candy out to the kids. He is about 6' 4", so you can imagine how much it frightened my then 3 & 5 year old boys! I have some great pictures of it! LOL! I used sketch SC237 from SCS. I like this one - simple, but easily embellished. I colored the image with copics, cut out and mounted on a label that was airbrushed using my Copic ABS and V09. I layered it on Orange Zest (PTI). I also used Orchid Opulence, Black, Stamper's Select White and some more Basic Grey Eerie. I also used Martha's Drippy Goo border punch (one of my new favs!) and some orange polka-dotted organza ribbon. The sentiment on the tag is from PTI's Boo To You set. It was made with SU's Modern Label punch, a button and some linen thread (SU). I inked everything using some Versa Mark Chalk ink.

Here is a close-up of Frank! Isn't he too adorable?

This will be going in my Etsy store soon - probably in the morning!

Here are the copics I used: Supplies: Stamps - Frank & Vampire Digi (PCS), Sentiment (PTI); Paper - Orange Zest & Stampers Select White (PTI), Black, Orchid Opulence (SU) and Basic Grey Eerie DP; Ink - Copics, Versa Mark Chalk Ink; Accessories - Nesties, foam tape, ribbon (Offray), button, linen thread (SU), Copic ABS, Modern Label Punch (SU), Drippy Goo Punch (Martha Stewart)

Thanks for stopping by...again today! ~Tori

Spooky Witch - A PCS digi

Happy Monday to ya! Our weekend was spent tending to our littlest one. He is doing very well with the swine flu, but we are still watching him closely. We are all taking Tamiflu, so I hope it keeps all of us from getting sick! I did manage to get some cards made this weekend.

This is one of Pink Cat Studio's new digi stamps! Isn't she too cute?
I printed her out on Stamper's Select White (PTI) and inked the edges with Kiwi Kiss and Versa Mark Chalk ink in black. The sentiment is from PTI's Boo To You set. The card base is PTI's new Orange Zest, which I embossed with a CB folder. I {heart} it already! I also used Orchid Opulence, Black and Basic Grey Eerie DP. I added a button, linen thread and some Orange Zest ribbon.

That's it for now! Thanks for stopping by! ~Tori

Another Kiki and some not so great news.....

Hello to All - hope everyone is having a better day than me...actually it started yesterday with my computer crashing and my hard drive is toast -Thank goodness for my external hard drive! But, that's not the worst of the bad news....I was having lunch with a friend today and get a call from my 4 yo's school that he is throwing up...long story - short, I call the peds and they urge me to bring him in. He threw up all the way there and back home - he not only has Strep Throat, he also has the H1N1 Virus (swine flu)... Yuck! He is an asthmatic, so he is in that high risk category. I am hoping he gets over this fast! We caught it really early - he has no other symptoms besides vomiting at this point. Good news is my hubby is going to pick up the tamiflu meds and we should be on our way to recovery! I already gave him some anti-nausea meds, so he is feeling a little better at this point.

Please say some prayers that he gets over this fast without complications!

On to my card....I chose another digi Kiki La Rue image from All That Scraps to play along with SCS's SC247 challenge. I like this sketch and plan on using it in the future. I made this card last night, but it is kind of fitting since my little one is under the weather.

The sentiment is from PTI's Tea for Two set. I pulled out more of my Basic Grey Lemonade DP along with some Purely Pomegranate, Pretty in Pink, and some Bermuda Bay. I added stitching to each of the panels. I created the tag by layering 2 tag trio nesties and adding some pink Basic Grey pearls. I picked some of these up at my LSS recently in very pretty colors.Kiki was colored with copics, cut out and layered onto another panel that was airbrushed using YG00. I added some flower bling to her hair - even a sick Diva can be fabulous! LOL!

This cutie is now in my Etsy store along with some other recently posted cards - go check it out - link is in my right sidebar.
Here are the Copics I used.

I am going to take a hot bath and go to bed early tonight! I did not sleep well last night and after the day I have had, I just need some relaxation! Tootles...~Tori

Sweet as can be!

Happy Thursday to ya! Hope you are having a great week so far! I can't complain - my kids are all well (for now) and life is going well!

Here is another digi image from ATS - this is Kiki La Rue. Don't you just love saying that over and over? Reminds me of something out of an old Doris Day movie like Please Don't Eat the Daisies or Pillow Talk - not sure why, but it does. (Yes, I know, I was born in 1975, but they just don't make movies like that anymore! I loved to watch those with my Mom when I was in high school.)
When I saw this image, I knew I had to have it and I had to use some of my new BG Lemonade paper! I also decided that my new Bermuda Bay paper along with some Pretty in Pink & Kiwi Kiss looked nice with it.
I colored her with my Copics, cut her out and layered her with foam tape on an oval airbrushed with YG00. (I am trying to get my money's worth from my compressor!)

I made the flower embellies using SU's Boho Blossoms punch. I punched one of each shape, snipped each petal so I could bend them up, pierced them with a paper piercer and then adhered them together using a BG Lemonade Glazed Brad. I then bent and smooshed (is that a word? it is now - in fact it is a very technical term!) all of the petals up to add dimension. The leaves are a SU Sizzlit exclusive - little leaves. The sentiment is from another ATS digi set - Sweet Treats.
Lastly, I used a Martha border punch and my sewing machine to add a little interest around the edges!
Here is a close-up of Kiki (whispering "La Rue"!!)

Here are the Copics I used:

Supplies: Stamps - Kiki La Rue Digi & Sweet Treats (ATS); Paper - Bermuda Bay, Pretty in Pink, Kiwi Kiss (all SU), Stamper's Select (PTI), BG Lemonade DP; Ink - Copics; Accessories - Copic ABS, Boho Blossom Punch (SU), Lace Border Punch (Martha Stewart), Lemonade Glazed Brad (BG), sewing machine, Leaves (SU Sizzlit)

Have a great week! ~Tori

Too Cute to Spook!

Happy Wednesday! It has been a busy week so far - I am glad it is finally middle of the week!

Today, I have another ATS digi image to share with you - Cow Emma. I think she looks like the sweetest little thing! Reminds me of my 13 yo dd when she was about 3! My Mom & Dad picked out her costume - a cute pink bunny suit. She looked so cute! I will try to dig up a picture of it and post it.
Emma was colored with Copics, cut out and layered onto an oval that I airbrushed using YG95. I created the sentiment on my computer and the hole was punched using my Crop-A-Dile. I added a little Old Olive Twill to finish off the tag. I used Martha's Drippy Goo punch on this one - searched all over town and then ran into it at Hobby Lobby the other day! YAY for fun finds! I know you are so sick of seeing the new Basic Grey Eerie from me, but I am in love!!
I paired it with Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie and black CS.

Here is a close-up of this little doll:
She looks ready for candy, eh? Speaking of which...I lucked out and already got my boys costumes early for great prices! YAY for saving money! = {more $$ for scrappy stuff!} LOL!

Here are the Copics I used:
Supplies: Stamps - Cow Emma (ATS), sentiment (pc generated); Paper - pumpkin pie, kiwi kiss, black, BG Eerie DP, Stamper's Select White (PTI); Ink - Copics; Accessories - goo punch (MS), Copic ABS, Olive Twill (SU), Oval Nesties, sewing machine, Crop-A-Dile

Thanks for taking a look! Have a great week! ~Tori

Spooky Trevor

Happy Tuesday! Hope you are having a good day so far! I am helping out at my daughter's school today in the band program. She plays the flute in the wind ensemble and really loves music. Last Friday night, her middle school band played with the high school marching band durng the football game. They had the best time! She is looking even more forward to high school marching band!

Here is another digi image from ATS called Mummy Trevor.
Mummy Trevor was colored with copics, cut out and mounted on an airbrushed background. I paired Pumpkin Pie, Basic Grey and Black CS with some new Basic Grey Eerie DP. The sentiment is from PTI's Boo To You set. I just got some new halloween punches from Martha and could not wait to use them - I used the fence on this one!
I used SU's word window & modern label punch to create the tag along with some linen thread and a button. A little stitching was added around the mats.

Here is a close-up of Trev:Isn't he precious? Reminds me of my boys! They {heart} Halloween!

Here are the Copics I used:

Supplies: Stamps - Mummy Trevor Digi (ATS), Sentiment (PTI); Paper - Pumpkin Pie, Basic Grey, Black (all SU), Basic Grey Eerie DP; Ink - Copics; Accessories - Copic ABS, button, linen thread (SU), punches - Fence (Martha Stewart), Word Window & Modern Label Punches (SU), sewing machine, nesties

Delightful! SC246

Happy Monday to ya! It was a busy but fun weekend. The kids each won their soccer games on Saturday! Parker, my 6 yo, scored 3 goals and Carson, my 4 yo, scored 4 goals! Katie plays defense, so she rarely ever drives the ball up to shoot on goal.

We have soccer practice tonight, so I will be quick! Here is one of the sweet digi's from ATS called Witch Emma using SCS's sketch for this week: SC246.
I colored her with my copics, cut her out and layered her on a Nestie Label that I airbrushed with my Copic ABS. I added some purple stickles to her skirt, b/c this witch is cute and stylish! I used some of my new Basic Grey Eerie DP - I love this stuff! The card base is Pumpkin Pie and I stamped it with Cats & Bats from Inkadinkadoo stamp using some Versa Mark chalk ink. I also inked the kiwi kiss and Orchid Opulence papers using the same ink. The sentiment comes from PTI's Boo To You set. I used my new SU Modern label punch, a button, some green DMC floss and my copic ABS for the tag.
Here is a close-up of this cutie-pie! If you are interested, I am going to be uploading this card to my Etsy store tonight.
Here are the copics I used.

Supplies: Stamps - Witch Emma Digi (ATS), Sentiment (PTI), Bats Flourishes (Inkadinkadoo); Paper - Pumpkin Pie, Kiwi Kiss, Orchid Opulence (all SU), Stamper's Select White (PTI), Basic Grey Eerie DP; Ink - Copics, Versa Mark Chalk Ink; Accessories - Copic ABS, button, DMC floss, Modern Label Punch (SU), Offray Ribbon, Purple Stickles

Have a great rest of the day! ~Tori

Sip & Relax - 4x4 Card Set....and an Announcement!

Happy Wednesday night to ya! I will try to make this quick, because I am exhausted - it was a long day!

A quick announcement:
I bit the bullet and finally opened an Etsy Store! I have been thinking about it for a while and finally decided to take the plunge! I added my store link over on the right side. I have not had a lot of time to fill up the store, but I am working on it!

I made this card set as a cute gift! I swear, I love this Tea for Two set from PTI. I am sure you are sick of seeing it already! I feel like I have already gotten my money's worth on this set, because it has seen to much ink already. LOL!
I used the Pizza Box Tutorial from SCS to make the cute matching box. It holds 3 cards and envelopes! The buttons made the cards kinda bumpy, so 3 fit best. If they were more flat, 5 would easily fit. I actually made 5 cards, so I am thinking I will make 1 more card and another box to have 2 sets! Then I will add one of the sets to my store!

I pulled out (ok, it was still sitting on my desk! - I am so bad about putting away my DP after I am done with it. I just usually pile more on top, until I finally can't stand it and put it all back!) more of that Bo Bunny Delilah DP - it is just so pretty. I paired it with Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream (both PTI), Pretty in Pink (SU) papers and some Creative Impressions Swirl ribbon.
Here is a close-up of the card - it's size is 3.75 x 3.75. I stamped the image and sentiment in Dark Chocolate ink and layered using my oval nesties and SU punches (love the new Modern Label Punch - where have you been all my life?)
Here's a shot of the inside of the box with the cards inside. They fit so nicely!
Lastly, here's a close-up of the outside of the box.

Supplies: Stamps - Tea for Two (PTI); Paper - Pretty in Pink (SU), Dark Chocolate, Vintage Cream (PTI), Bo Bunny Delilah DP; Ink - Dark Chocolate; Accessories - Oval Nesties, Creative Impressions Swirl Organza Ribbon, Buttons (PTI), Word Window & Modern Label Punches (SU), foam tape.

Have a great night! ~Tori

A PTI Halloween Treat!

Happy Tuesday to ya! I have a very busy day today, so I will get right to it. I made this gift basket for PTI's Monthly Guest Designer Challenge for September. I find out today if I was picked. Wish me luck!

During October, my neighborhood loves to 'BOO' each other by leaving a small gift on your front porch, ringing the doorbell and running off! After you are 'Boo'd', you are supposed to Boo someone else. It is a lot of fun as it is completely anonymous! I thought this would make a really cute Boo gift for this year. (These homemade treats will be gone in about a day and I will make more!)
This 'Boo Basket' is filled with yummy Cake Pops! Cake Pops are cake mixed with icing, dipped in chocolate. They are not hard to make, but a little time consuming - you really should try them at least once! (Check out Bakerella's website to see her instructions on how to make them)

Here is some quick math to explain the goodness!
Cake + Icing + Chocolate + Sprinkles = YUM!

I used PTI's new Boo To You set for these cute tags. This set has really cute images as well as great sentiments that are perfect for Halloween Treats! I stamped the images on Vintage Cream cardstock. I layered each tag onto either Basic Black, Summer Sunrise, and Pumpkin Pie using my Pinking Nesties. I sponged Summer Sunrise around the edges of each tag.
The sentiment on the bucket was computer generated, but the words on the tags are all from the BTY set.
"Eek!" is right - they are that good!

I created this pumpkin by stamping Polka Dot Basics II set in Pumpkin Pie onto Summer Sunrise and then stamping the pumpkin images on top. I got the idea for this from Heather Nichols blog. I packaged them up and tied them with miscellaneous ribbons: PTI, Offray, etc. I bought the packaging (treat bags & lollipop sticks) for the cake pops at Michael's on the cake decorating isle. I used orange dipping chocolates and Halloween sprinkles.
Here is a picture of what the inside of these babies looks like! YUM-O!

Supplies:
Stamps - Boo To You, Polka Dot Basics II (PTI)
Ink - Summer Sunrise, Ripe Avocado (PTI), Memento Black, Pumpkin Pie (SU)
Paper - Vintage Cream, Basic Black, Summer Sunrise (all PTI), Pumpkin Pie (SU)
Accessories - circle & pinking nesties, crop-a-dile, sponges, ribbon (PTI, Offray, misc)

Just A Note!

Hi there - Me again! You get a two-fer today! I will make this one quick - I have to go throw something in the crock pot as Monday's are the night I coach my son's soccer team! I am trying to get used to using my crock pot more often as we have soccer 3 nights a week now.

->If anyone has any good crock pot recipes or just fast recipes on the healthier side, I would love to for you to share them! <-

I whipped this puppy up last night while watching In Love and War with Sandra Bullock and Chris O'Donnell. It was made a while back ('96, I think), but it is a wonderful movie about a young Ernest Hemingway. It is a take on his book A Farewell to Arms. I will probably watch it again before sending it back to Netflix. If you have not seen it, I totally recommend it. I plan to start reading more of his works - I am ashamed to say I have not read many of them.
I finally finished coloring this image from PTI's Autumn Abundance set, released last month. I started it early last week and other projects got in the way! I used some more of my In Bloom DP, this time in the Enchanted Evening shade - just ordered some of that CS and ink last night - can't wait for my PTI goodies to arrive! I sponged some Summer Sunrise ink around the edges of the stamped image and layered with my new Peony Nesties. I love those things! The sentiment was stamped onto Summer Sunrise and die-cut with my Labels Trio Nesties. I added a Dark Chocolate button and some linen thread (SU) to tie in the Dark Chocolate CS I used as a mat. To finish it off, I had to add some satin Summer Sunrise ribbon to tie all of the colors together. This card measures 4x4 and as soon as my 4x4 kraft envies arrive, I will package it up!

Here are the Copics I used to color my image:

Supplies: Stamps - Autumn Abundance (PTI); Paper - Kraft, Dark Chocolate, Summer Sunrise, Stamper's Select White, Ripe Avocado, In Bloom DP (all PTI); Ink - Memento, Copics, Summer Sunrise; Accessories - sponge, Summer Sunrise Ribbon, Dark Chocolate Button, Linen Thread (SU), Peony & Tag Trio Nesties

Have a great day! ~Tori

Tea - Get Well Soon!

Happy Monday! Hope everyone is doing well today. We had a busy weekend and I am still playing catch-up! It rained the entire game for my poor 4 year old, so I did not get many pictures. My dd won her first game and she played well despite getting hit in the mouth. She has only had her braces on about a month, but she continued to play despite cutting her lip up and having a bloody mouth. I swear it made her play better. In fact, one of the other parents looked at me and said, "I think she's mad now!" She got really aggressive and started driving the ball up the field, which is unusual for her - she's more of a passer. On Sunday, we ventured over to the Zoo despite the fact they called for rain all day! It did not rain and it was pretty empty, so there were no crowds around the animals and no waits to feed the animals! I left my camera at home b/c of the threat of rain, and am disappointed since we fed the lorikeets and giraffes! Those would have been great pics. I did snap a few from my iPhone, but I doubt they are post-worthy!

On to my card for today....I used PTI's Tea for Two set to make a quick Get Well card.
I picked up this new Bo Bunny DP - Delilah. I really like pink and brown together - throw in a little orange and I like it even better! I am one of those people that has always liked orange - not a lot of people do. I thought the leaves on the DP went well with the leaves on the pot! I paired the Bo Bunny DP with More Mustard, Pretty in Pink and some Brown polka dotted Bo Bunny DP. The tea pot was stamped in More Mustard on Vintage Cream CS (PTI) and then cut out and layered. The sentiment was stamped in Vintage Cream. I added a Sweet Blush button (PTI) and some linen thread (SU) to complete the look.

Thanks for stopping by! I have another card to post today, so be sure and stop back by!

Happy Harvest

Happy Friday to you! I hope you are having a good day. I have a quick post today - got a lot to do this afternoon, but am looking forward to lots of scrappy time this weekend! We also have our 1st soccer games of the season for all of my kids - I am sure I will have pictures to share with you.

I made this card for my monthly card swap with my CaRd cHicKs! The 7 of us try and do a swap every month. These are the same group of girls that I have over to stamp on some Friday nights. I wish they could come over every Friday nights - we have so much fun drinking Starbucks, stamping and laughing!
I used my PTI Vintage Picnic set again. I {heart} this set! I decided to make a fall card to get ready for the season - even though it is still very warm here, I can tell fall is starting to set in. My allergies are starting to kick up again, and it has been cooler (around 75 degrees!) in the mornings. It feels wonderful!

Okay, back to the card - I used all PTI products on this one. I used my Copics to color the image, which was stamped on Stamper's Select White cardstock. I layered the image on Spring Moss and Summer Sunrise. I finally got the courage to cut into my new In Bloom paper pack! I am so bad about hoarding paper and not wanting to cut it, b/c it is so pretty! Hey, there are worse demons to have!! LOL! The sentiment was punched out using SU's new Modern Label Punch and I added a little Summer Sunrise polka-dot ribbon to finish it off.

For the Copics, I used: E50, 51, 53, and 55; YG91, 93 & 95; Y32, 35, & 38. This card measures 4.25 x 4.25 - not sure why, I just love this size! :)

Supplies:
Stamps - Vintage Picnic (PTI)
Paper - Summer Sunrise, Spring Moss, Stamper's Select White, In Bloom DP (all PTI)
Ink - Memento, Copics
Accessories - Circle Nesties, Summer Sunrise ribbon (PTI), Modern Label Punch (SU), Crop-A-Dile

In remembrance of 9/11,
God Bless America! We Will Not Forget!
God Bless Our Troops!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

A Halloween Mini Album!

Good morning! I have mini album to share with you today.
I made this paper bag mini album as a Christmas present for my in-laws last year, but for some reason, never posted it! Well, with Halloween right around the corner, I thought it was a perfect time to post!

I found this incredible paper last year from my LSS - it is We R Memory Keepers - Black Out Halloween paper. It was so easy to use b/c on one side, it was a large pattern; on the other side it was broken up into 4 - 6x6 squares of different patterns. All I did was cut each 12x12 sheet into 4 - 6x6 sheets and slap them on my paper bag album! I then used tons of different products to decorate. I will try to break down some of the techniques on each page.
(you can click on any of the pictures to see close-ups)
On the cover, I painted the HS chipboard letters with MM paint and then added lime green stickles. "Halloween" is the Frankie font from QK. I tied lots of different ribbons to the rings that bind this album.
On pages 1 & 2: QK bat dies, Frankie alpha, HS chippy, SU punch, black chalk ink, ribbon (Creative Impressions)

This is a pic of the kids in front of the 8' ghost we put out every year and my littlest one, Carson, as Batman.
On pages 3 & 4: Misc chippy tag, Grungeboard painted green, May Arts ribbon, BG chippy painted orange.

These are close-ups of my oldest, Katie, as a pirate and Parker (middle child) as Wolverine.
Can you tell I love the HS chippy? I have LOTS of it, Star & Swirl paperclips, more May Arts ribbons, basic grey chippy painted purple and doodled with a white gel pen.

This is a pic of my super heroes together and one of my neighbors awesome yards. The boys were so spooked!
SU punch, More Heidi Swapp & BG chippy painted, K & Co chippy tag (covered in DP).

The boys were so surprised when one of my neighbors answered the door dressed as a storm trooper! Lots of the parents like to dress up to hand out the candy. It makes it so much fun for the kids. We used the wagon to transport the super heroes since their little feet were tired from saving the world! While being chauffeured, they gorged on candy!
They got more and more candy!
Supplies:
Paper - Pumpkin Pie, Black, Kiwi Kiss, Bazzill, We R Memory Keepers Black Out Halloween DP
Paints/Inks - MM paints - orange, purple, green; Lime Stickles; Versa Mark Black Chalk ink
Chipboard - Basic Grey, Heidi Swapp, K & Co, Grungeboard
Accessories - Paper Bags, rings, Crop-A-Dile, SU picture corner punches, swirl & star paper clips, staples, White gel pen, QK Frankie Alpha & bats, buttons
Ribbons - Offray (black polka), May Arts (most others), Creative Impressions (swirl organza)
Hope you enjoyed my super-easy & quick album! ~Tori

Masculine Birthday Card

Good Morning! Hope you are having a good morning so far! Today is a busy day for me, so I will make this short and sweet!

Isn't Surfer Ian so cool? I love his tousled hair!
I picked up this hottie over at The Greeting Farm a few weeks back and just recently inked him up. I found this DP in my stash and thought it would make a good masculine card - the problem is, I have no idea whose paper it is - there is nothing on the back and there was no tab to cut off either...strange! Anyway, it goes great with Black and Baja Breeze cardstock!

I colored Ian with my Copics, cut him out and layered him on an oval that I airbrushed. If you look closely, you can see the stickles I added to the flowers on his board shorts! The sentiment comes from Eclectic Paperie's Hangin' Loose with Kona set - great sentiments for boy stuff!

Here are the copics I used:
Supplies: Stamps - Surfer Ian (Greeting Farm), sentiment (Eclectic Paperie); Paper - Black & Baja Breeze (SU), Stamper's Select (PTI), DP (unknown); Ink - Memento, Copics; Accessories - Oval Nesties, Copic ABS, brads (HL), Ticket Corner punch (SU) , Stickles

Have a great day! I have to be productive today - the kids get out early on Wednesdays and my little one missed school all last week, so I am playing catch up!
Toodles! ~ Tori

Have a 'Beachin' Birthday!

Happy Tuesday to all! Sorry, I have been away for a week, I am trying to adjust to the new school and soccer schedules on top of having a sick one at home all last week! Everyone is better and it is a short school week, so hopefully all will go off without a 'hitch' as my Mom always says! (Gotta love those 'MOM" sayings! - I find myself saying more and more of the same ones I rolled my eyes at when I was younger and knew it all!)

This card was made for one of my older brother's birthday. He turns 40 next Monday! I think he will get a kick out of it, since he used to love to surf when he was in the Coast Guard stationed in S. Padre Island, TX. Now he is in land-locked Austin, TX! Such a fun place to visit!
I had to pull out my Hangin' Loose with Kona set from EP one more time before summer is over! (Who am I kidding, I live in FL and it's still 90 degrees and will be hot until mid October/early November!) Kona was colored with my Copics and cut out. I airbrushed the oval, creating some clouds and added some real sand (yes, shark-bite capital of the world sand - a.k.a. New Smyrna Beach, FL) under his feet! The sentiment is from Stampendous - I bought it to go with some of my Changito Monkey stamps, but it is versatile! I looked way back in my stash for this old Basic Grey paper - I think this is one of the first sets they ever made. It is very masculine and thought it worked perfectly for this card. I paired it with Brocade Blue and Basic Grey (SU) cardstock. (click on the picture for a better view of the details!)

Here are the Copics I used on this card:

Supplies: Stamps - Hangin' Loose with Kona (Eclectic Paperie), Sentiment (Stampendous); Paper - Brocade Blue & Basic Grey (SU), Stampers Select White (PTI), Basic Grey DP; Ink - Memento, Copics; Accessories - Copic ABS, Sand (beach), Oval & Ribbon Tag Trio Nesties, Basic Grey Ribbon (SU)

Now don't fall out of you chair, but.....I made a second card too!

I used Kona again and this time paired him with perfect, beachy-surfy paper from Scenic Route!

For some reason, I love this paper with this stamp set! I got the idea for this card from this week's sketch challenge from Little Paper Shop - LPSC32. I did not follow the sketch exactly, but used it for my inspiration!

I stamped Kona, colored him with Copics and airbrushed the background on. I decided to use sand on this one too. It looks darker on this card b/c I had already airbrushed a sandy look before deciding to add the sand. All of the layers were inked with VersaMark Chalk ink in Jumbo Java. I paired this Scenic Route paper with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Summer Sun cardstock.

Here are the copics I used for this card: Supplies: Stamps - Hangin' Loose with Kona (EP), sentiment (Stampendous); Paper: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie & Summer Sun (SU), Stamper's Select White (PTI), Scenic Route DP; Ink: Copics, Memento, Versa Mark chalk ink - Jumbo Java; Accessories: Circle, Pinking & Ribbon Tag Trio Nesties, Copic ABS, Sand (beach), Chocolate Chip Twill (SU)

That's it for now! I do have another card to post, but have to cook dinner and get kids off to soccer practice in the next 45 minutes...so, maybe later, maybe tomorrow!

A Fall Card!

Wow! I must be on a roll today! This is my 3rd post for the day and 2nd card to complete today! That is a good day!

I made this quick little circular card for Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #16!

I am in love with PTI products! I am really loving this new Boo To You set! I used my largest scalloped circle nestability to create the card using Summer Sunrise cardstock. I stamped the stars in Dark Chocolate and inked the edges of the card with Summer Sunrise. The pumpkin was stamped on Vintage Cream using Dark Chocolate and Summer Sunrise, then layered on Dark Chocolate and Kraft cardstock. I sponged around the edges of the Vintage Cream to make it look more rustic. The sentiment was done the same way and punched using SU's word window punch and the modern label punch. I added some Dark Chocolate buttons and polka dotted ribbon as well as some linen thread (SU) to finish off the card.

Here are the colors Dawn picked for the challenge:

I will probably stick this card in one of my kids lunches as it gets closer to Halloween. They love to get little notes in their lunches!

Thanks for stopping by....Again! LOL! Have a great night!~Tori

Tea Two Ways!

Hello, again! I finally had some time to download and edit my pictures! Here I have two cards using my new Tea for Two set from PTI. I am loving this new set! Well, new to me, anyway! LOL!

My first card: Sip & Relax
In addition to the Tea for Two set, I used Polka Dots Basics II & Guide Lines two set. I stamped the tea pot on Vintage Cream using Sweet Blush and inked the edges with Spring Moss. The sentiment was stamped using Aqua Mist. I used Versamark ink to stamp the Spring Moss with the Guide lines two set. I used buttons in Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush, and Spring Moss.

Here is the 2nd card: Herbal Tea Company
I stamped the tea pot in Berry Sorbet on Stamper's Select white cardstock and then layered onto Spring Moss. I stamped the sentiment on Spring Moss using Ripe Avocado ink. The background paper was created using Guide Lines two pre-printed cardstock using Berry Sorbet, Ripe Avocado, and Spring Moss. I added a little Ripe Avocado ribbon.

For the inside of the card, I created a pocket by sewing around the edges. I added the sentiment using Memento ink. This pocket holds a tea bag perfectly!
