Teacher Gifts

Happy Wednesday to ya! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the Christmas season! I know it is easy to get stressed out with fitting it all in at this time of year - I know I am struggling to not let it get the best of me! My kids get out of school on Friday and I am really looking forward to some down time with them.

Today, I have some Teacher Gifts to share with you that I made for my kid's teachers.
I found these cute coffee mugs at Target (actually my friend Dee picked them up for me!) The tall chocolate one was $1.99 and the shorter Teal one was $2.99! Bargain!
I filled them with a Gourmet Cocoa Packet, a Chocolate Dipped Biscotti and a small bag of marsh mellows. This is the tag I made for each of the gifts. The stamp is from PTI's 2009 Holiday Tag Collection and the sentiment is from PTI's Holiday Treats Set. I used Aqua Mist & Spring Moss cardstock along with my circle and tag nesties and Copics to throw together these simple little 3 x 3 gift tag. I added some clear Stickles, a MS Snowflake and PTI button and jute twine to finish it off. To attach it to the package, I used my Crop-A-Dile to punch holes. I swear, that is one of the best investments I ever made. I only have the original pink handled one, but it has been so handy over the years. It punches through everything!
For the bag of marsh mellows, I used a small SU cellophane bag. I punched a huge Martha Stewart Snowflake punch and covered it with some MS Snow Glitter. I tied the bag up with some Ocean Tides Twill Ribbon (PTI).

Well, that's all for tonight! I am hitting the sack as they say! It has been a long and trying week and it is only Wednesday! Merry Christmas! ~Tori

Christmas Ribbon Wreath Card

Good morning! I hope everyone is having a good morning so far! I am in hyper-drive mode this week because my kids get out for Christmas Break on Friday and I still have nothing wrapped - eek! To top it off, I have 2 class parties to help out at and a Christmas program to attend too! That doesn't give me a lot of time to accomplish my tasks, but oh well, it will get done somehow!

We had a break from the rain yesterday and it was 80 degrees, so I decided to finally throw the kids outside to get their Christmas picture taken. I still need to mail out my Christmas cards - eek! I am one step closer now that I have this picture done!
This is not a perfect picture, but it was the best one that came out of the 49 I took, LOL! My boys are terrible about looking everywhere but the camera! :) Anywho, these are my babies!

I have some simple cards that I made using a tutorial I found here. These are so easy to make and are so pretty!
I used some Always Artichoke grosgrain ribbon, Real Red Ribbon and red bling for this one. The white panel was embossed with the snowflake CB embossing folder. The sentiment is from PTI's 2009 Holiday Tag Collection. I punched it with SU's Word Window punch and layered it on a Modern Label punch.

For my second one, I used Rose Red & Always Artichoke ribbon and papers.
My bling is from Kaisercraft.

Gotta scoot! I have a busy day! Have a good one! ~Tori

Remember me?

Hi Peeps! Long time no post! I have been absolutely swamped over the last week and a half! Ah, Christmas is in full swing! I have one person left to get a gift for, but now must wrap everything! I have been so busy, I have not even had a lot of time to scrap - shock & awe, I know - I was shocked too!

************************
Etsy Update: I now have some Valentine's Cards in my Etsy Store!! I will not be making any more Christmas cards unless someone requests one! I will start adding more Valentine's, Birthday & Spring cards soon!

************************

I have a few more Christmas cards to share with you today. I used more digi images from Pink Cat Studio! - check them out here.Aren't these little elves precious? I think they are very sweet! Do you think she is holding a new Keurig coffee maker for me in it? I think it will fit in her box! LOL! I used some more Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DP along with some Old Olive and Riding Hood Red. I also ran a piece of Whisper White through my CuttleBug with a snowflake embossing folder. I added some red Stickles to the center of the poinsettia leaves and some bling and fern leaves! The sentiment is from PTI's Signature Christmas set. I punched the tag using a SU punch and airbrushed it with BG11.
Here is a close-up of these cuties. I added some Liquid Pearls to the boy elf's hat and some Stickles to the girl's hat. It is hard to tell, but I airbrushed the background with BG10. I am having some issues with my airbrush machine and a little perplexed b/c I do not know much about compressors. I think it might be my BG10 marker b/c other colors seem to work fine. I think I need to fill it more. I filled it recently, but I really use that color a lot!

Here is my second card - it makes me laugh, b/c this is so the life of a cat and incidentally, one of my dogs too! I have an 8 year old Maltese that thinks any place is the perfect place to sit or sleep! Last week, I bought a drying rack for my sweaters and she fell asleep on top of the cardboard box while I was putting it together! She is a real sweetie, tho!
Ok, back on track Tori....hee, hee! I used PCS' Kitty Sleeping in Present digi image.

I swear, I must be trying to use up my Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DP stack! I think I have used it on almost all of my cards! It seems to multiply, because it still seems like I have a bunch of the 6x6 stack left! I used some more Old Olive and Riding Hood Red along with my fav paper for Copics - PTI's Stamper's Select White! I added some more red Stickles to the centers of these flowers and some pearls. I created the sentiment on my computer and cut it out with a Tag Trio Nestability. Instead of boring you with my Martha fern punch again, I used an EK Success leaf punch! Hee hee!
Here is a close-up of this cozy kitty! I snuck in some Red Stickles on the bow on her head. I used my Copics to color this and then airbrushed with BG10 around the image and on the tag as well!

Hope you have a wonderful night! ~Tori

More Christmas Cheer!

Happy Friday folks! Hope everyone is getting through this crazy holiday season okay! Newsflash, only 21 days until Christmas - Eeeek! I still have to shop for my hubby and wrap everything, not to mention finish my Christmas cards and mail them!

Today, I have 2 cards to share with you that are previously released PCS digi images. I loved some of these images so much, I had to use them again! My first card will be available in my Etsy store sometime today.
My first card is the Kissing Penguins image.

I used some more Eskimo Kisses DP from Basic Grey - this stack has been great because of the diverse colors. I paired it with Old Olive and Riding Hood Red. The 2 red snowflakes are Martha Stewart punches and the lg. green one is a Marvy punch and the smallest one is a Clever Lever punch. Of course, I could not skip using my MS fern punch, so I trimmed it a bit to mimic the mistletoe and glue it over it after tying some red crochet thread around it. The sentiment comes from PTI's 2009 Holiday Tags Set. I used SU's word window punch for the sentiment. Lastly, I added some red blingy-bling to the centers of the snowflakes.Here is a close-up of our smooching couple! I drew in the ground using a Copic Multiliner pen and then added lots of Martha Stewart Snow Glitter to the ground. Ms. Penguin has some Stickles on her cuff and around the rim of her hood. All girls need a little sparkle! For the background, I colored it solid with BG10 and then roughly blended it with my colorless blender to make a blustery-looking scene. Then I went back and made some snow dots, again with the colorless blender.

Here is card #2 - Hootie Pie - Santa! I pulled out some Basic Grey Blitzen for this card and stitched around the edges of the candy cane paper. Riding Hood Red and Whisper White look great with these papers. The digi image was printed on PTI's Stampers Select paper and then colored with Copics. I added some Liquid Glass (CTMH) to his eyes and some Martha Stewart Glitter to his hat cuff and pom-pom. The snowflake punches are from Marvy and Clever Lever. I punched them and then stuck them face down in a Martha Stewart Glue Pad and covered them in glitter as well. The sentiment is from PTI's 2009 Holiday Tag Collection. I inked the printed image and sentiment in Riding Hood Red ink. Here is a close-up of this Hootie-Pie! He is so cute!

I have to run, I have a very busy day today and my 4 yr old still has walking pneumonia and wants me to be his playmate since he is not at school! Hope you have a fab-o weekend! :) ~Tori

PCS Digi Release Thursday!

Happy Thursday, Peeps! Hope everyone is doing well! I am having a crazy week myself. My 4 yr old has walking pneumonia again and it has really put a damper on my week. I had a really busy week planned of things I needed to accomplish and almost none of it has happened. Oh well, what do you do, right?

Newflash....Only 22 days until Christmas!....Eeeekkkk!

Today is Pink Cat Studio's Digi Release Thursday! Check out these adorable images! You can shop here for them.

My first card uses the cute little Santa Piggy Image.
Isn't he too cute? So sweet! I picked up these shaker card pouches from Impression Obsession at my LSS, Claire's Collectibles. If you are in or near Jax, FL, it is worth the short drive to St. Augustine to check out her stamps. Anywho, they work well with Nesties too! I filled the shaker card with Martha Stewart Snow Glitter and micro beads. I cut the scallop circle with nesties and embellished it with lots of bling! I used some more Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DP, along with some Old Olive and PTI Aqua Mist. The sentiment is from PTI's 2009 Holiday Tag Collection. I added some fern branches, a PTI button and some white crochet thread to finish it off.
Here is a side view of the shaker card. I like these shaker cards because they are thin, so they would still work well for mailing.
Here is a close-up of this cute piggy and his birdy friend. I colored them with Copics and then colored in the background with BG10 and used my colorless blender to make it swirly and also made some snowy dots too.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Aren't these the cutest little birdies? For my second card, I used the Birdies Make Christmas Cupcake. I swear, I want a cupcake now!
I used some PTI polka dot paper in Pure Poppy, Stamper's Select and Ripe Avocado for this one. I added stitching, Stickles, more snow glitter and lots of bling to make this card pop! The sentiment is from PTI's 2009 Holiday Tags Collection. I just bent it to mimic the arc of the circle. I also used some leaf punches (EK Success & MS) and a PTI button for an embellishment.
Here is a close-up of these busy little birds! Maybe they can come help me finish up all of my holiday decorating and cards! LOL!
Hope you have a fabulous day! ~Tori
