Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day All! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! We have spent the day hanging out and watching the Olympics! What is your favorite event? I would have to say snowboarding is mine. I am looking very forward to it starting Monday night! The moguls event was really cool last night as well as the speedskating! I enjoyed watching Apolo Ohno skate last night! Go Team USA!

I have a quick post to show you tonight. My Mom's birthday is on Valentine's Day, so

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!

My parents came over for a birthday dinner last night and I cooked Coq Au Vin, rice and steamed broccoli. We had yummy carrot cake for dessert along with some chocolate cupcakes filled with peanut butter and frosted with a peanut butter icing YUM! :)

We have always had a good laugh over the sparse selection of birthday/valentine combo cards on the market. I think there are only about 2 choices and she usually got duplicates of them each year! This is the birthday/Valentine's card I gave her. I used PTI's Cupcake Collection for this card.I got the inspiration for the sentiment from Dawn McVey's card here.
I used the sentiment from Blooming Button Bits and Simple Valentine. I used Pretty in Pink, Dark Chocolate , Vintage Cream (Both PTI), and some Basic Grey Bittersweet DP. I stamped the cupcake in Sweet Blush and Dark Chocolate. The heart sprinkles on top were stamped with some Pretty in Pink ink and then covered with Stickles. Supplies: Stamps - Simple Valentine, Blooming Button Bits, Cupcake Collection (All PTI); Paper - Pretty in Pink, Vintage Cream, Dark Chocolate (PTI), Basic Grey Bittersweet DP; Ink - Sweet Blush, Dk. Chocolate, Pretty in Pink; Accessories - Nesties, Buttons & Twine (PTI), Stickles, 3-D foam tape.

I will be back later this week with some Spring cards as well as some updated pictures of my studio. I spent this weekend re-organizing and purging! I was very overdue for this!

Gotta run - one of my BFF's from out of town is coming for a day visit tomorrow and we are having lunch with the kids and then some scrappy shopping! Can't wait! Have a wonderful night! ~Tori
