Tea - Get Well Soon!

Happy Monday! Hope everyone is doing well today. We had a busy weekend and I am still playing catch-up! It rained the entire game for my poor 4 year old, so I did not get many pictures. My dd won her first game and she played well despite getting hit in the mouth. She has only had her braces on about a month, but she continued to play despite cutting her lip up and having a bloody mouth. I swear it made her play better. In fact, one of the other parents looked at me and said, "I think she's mad now!" She got really aggressive and started driving the ball up the field, which is unusual for her - she's more of a passer. On Sunday, we ventured over to the Zoo despite the fact they called for rain all day! It did not rain and it was pretty empty, so there were no crowds around the animals and no waits to feed the animals! I left my camera at home b/c of the threat of rain, and am disappointed since we fed the lorikeets and giraffes! Those would have been great pics. I did snap a few from my iPhone, but I doubt they are post-worthy!

On to my card for today....I used PTI's Tea for Two set to make a quick Get Well card.
I picked up this new Bo Bunny DP - Delilah. I really like pink and brown together - throw in a little orange and I like it even better! I am one of those people that has always liked orange - not a lot of people do. I thought the leaves on the DP went well with the leaves on the pot! I paired the Bo Bunny DP with More Mustard, Pretty in Pink and some Brown polka dotted Bo Bunny DP. The tea pot was stamped in More Mustard on Vintage Cream CS (PTI) and then cut out and layered. The sentiment was stamped in Vintage Cream. I added a Sweet Blush button (PTI) and some linen thread (SU) to complete the look.

Thanks for stopping by! I have another card to post today, so be sure and stop back by!

Happy Harvest

Happy Friday to you! I hope you are having a good day. I have a quick post today - got a lot to do this afternoon, but am looking forward to lots of scrappy time this weekend! We also have our 1st soccer games of the season for all of my kids - I am sure I will have pictures to share with you.

I made this card for my monthly card swap with my CaRd cHicKs! The 7 of us try and do a swap every month. These are the same group of girls that I have over to stamp on some Friday nights. I wish they could come over every Friday nights - we have so much fun drinking Starbucks, stamping and laughing!
I used my PTI Vintage Picnic set again. I {heart} this set! I decided to make a fall card to get ready for the season - even though it is still very warm here, I can tell fall is starting to set in. My allergies are starting to kick up again, and it has been cooler (around 75 degrees!) in the mornings. It feels wonderful!

Okay, back to the card - I used all PTI products on this one. I used my Copics to color the image, which was stamped on Stamper's Select White cardstock. I layered the image on Spring Moss and Summer Sunrise. I finally got the courage to cut into my new In Bloom paper pack! I am so bad about hoarding paper and not wanting to cut it, b/c it is so pretty! Hey, there are worse demons to have!! LOL! The sentiment was punched out using SU's new Modern Label Punch and I added a little Summer Sunrise polka-dot ribbon to finish it off.

For the Copics, I used: E50, 51, 53, and 55; YG91, 93 & 95; Y32, 35, & 38. This card measures 4.25 x 4.25 - not sure why, I just love this size! :)

Supplies:
Stamps - Vintage Picnic (PTI)
Paper - Summer Sunrise, Spring Moss, Stamper's Select White, In Bloom DP (all PTI)
Ink - Memento, Copics
Accessories - Circle Nesties, Summer Sunrise ribbon (PTI), Modern Label Punch (SU), Crop-A-Dile

In remembrance of 9/11,
God Bless America! We Will Not Forget!
God Bless Our Troops!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!

A Halloween Mini Album!

Good morning! I have mini album to share with you today.
I made this paper bag mini album as a Christmas present for my in-laws last year, but for some reason, never posted it! Well, with Halloween right around the corner, I thought it was a perfect time to post!

I found this incredible paper last year from my LSS - it is We R Memory Keepers - Black Out Halloween paper. It was so easy to use b/c on one side, it was a large pattern; on the other side it was broken up into 4 - 6x6 squares of different patterns. All I did was cut each 12x12 sheet into 4 - 6x6 sheets and slap them on my paper bag album! I then used tons of different products to decorate. I will try to break down some of the techniques on each page.
(you can click on any of the pictures to see close-ups)
On the cover, I painted the HS chipboard letters with MM paint and then added lime green stickles. "Halloween" is the Frankie font from QK. I tied lots of different ribbons to the rings that bind this album.
On pages 1 & 2: QK bat dies, Frankie alpha, HS chippy, SU punch, black chalk ink, ribbon (Creative Impressions)

This is a pic of the kids in front of the 8' ghost we put out every year and my littlest one, Carson, as Batman.
On pages 3 & 4: Misc chippy tag, Grungeboard painted green, May Arts ribbon, BG chippy painted orange.

These are close-ups of my oldest, Katie, as a pirate and Parker (middle child) as Wolverine.
Can you tell I love the HS chippy? I have LOTS of it, Star & Swirl paperclips, more May Arts ribbons, basic grey chippy painted purple and doodled with a white gel pen.

This is a pic of my super heroes together and one of my neighbors awesome yards. The boys were so spooked!
SU punch, More Heidi Swapp & BG chippy painted, K & Co chippy tag (covered in DP).

The boys were so surprised when one of my neighbors answered the door dressed as a storm trooper! Lots of the parents like to dress up to hand out the candy. It makes it so much fun for the kids. We used the wagon to transport the super heroes since their little feet were tired from saving the world! While being chauffeured, they gorged on candy!
They got more and more candy!
Supplies:
Paper - Pumpkin Pie, Black, Kiwi Kiss, Bazzill, We R Memory Keepers Black Out Halloween DP
Paints/Inks - MM paints - orange, purple, green; Lime Stickles; Versa Mark Black Chalk ink
Chipboard - Basic Grey, Heidi Swapp, K & Co, Grungeboard
Accessories - Paper Bags, rings, Crop-A-Dile, SU picture corner punches, swirl & star paper clips, staples, White gel pen, QK Frankie Alpha & bats, buttons
Ribbons - Offray (black polka), May Arts (most others), Creative Impressions (swirl organza)
Hope you enjoyed my super-easy & quick album! ~Tori

Masculine Birthday Card

Good Morning! Hope you are having a good morning so far! Today is a busy day for me, so I will make this short and sweet!

Isn't Surfer Ian so cool? I love his tousled hair!
I picked up this hottie over at The Greeting Farm a few weeks back and just recently inked him up. I found this DP in my stash and thought it would make a good masculine card - the problem is, I have no idea whose paper it is - there is nothing on the back and there was no tab to cut off either...strange! Anyway, it goes great with Black and Baja Breeze cardstock!

I colored Ian with my Copics, cut him out and layered him on an oval that I airbrushed. If you look closely, you can see the stickles I added to the flowers on his board shorts! The sentiment comes from Eclectic Paperie's Hangin' Loose with Kona set - great sentiments for boy stuff!

Here are the copics I used:
Supplies: Stamps - Surfer Ian (Greeting Farm), sentiment (Eclectic Paperie); Paper - Black & Baja Breeze (SU), Stamper's Select (PTI), DP (unknown); Ink - Memento, Copics; Accessories - Oval Nesties, Copic ABS, brads (HL), Ticket Corner punch (SU) , Stickles

Have a great day! I have to be productive today - the kids get out early on Wednesdays and my little one missed school all last week, so I am playing catch up!
Toodles! ~ Tori

Have a 'Beachin' Birthday!

Happy Tuesday to all! Sorry, I have been away for a week, I am trying to adjust to the new school and soccer schedules on top of having a sick one at home all last week! Everyone is better and it is a short school week, so hopefully all will go off without a 'hitch' as my Mom always says! (Gotta love those 'MOM" sayings! - I find myself saying more and more of the same ones I rolled my eyes at when I was younger and knew it all!)

This card was made for one of my older brother's birthday. He turns 40 next Monday! I think he will get a kick out of it, since he used to love to surf when he was in the Coast Guard stationed in S. Padre Island, TX. Now he is in land-locked Austin, TX! Such a fun place to visit!
I had to pull out my Hangin' Loose with Kona set from EP one more time before summer is over! (Who am I kidding, I live in FL and it's still 90 degrees and will be hot until mid October/early November!) Kona was colored with my Copics and cut out. I airbrushed the oval, creating some clouds and added some real sand (yes, shark-bite capital of the world sand - a.k.a. New Smyrna Beach, FL) under his feet! The sentiment is from Stampendous - I bought it to go with some of my Changito Monkey stamps, but it is versatile! I looked way back in my stash for this old Basic Grey paper - I think this is one of the first sets they ever made. It is very masculine and thought it worked perfectly for this card. I paired it with Brocade Blue and Basic Grey (SU) cardstock. (click on the picture for a better view of the details!)

Here are the Copics I used on this card:

Supplies: Stamps - Hangin' Loose with Kona (Eclectic Paperie), Sentiment (Stampendous); Paper - Brocade Blue & Basic Grey (SU), Stampers Select White (PTI), Basic Grey DP; Ink - Memento, Copics; Accessories - Copic ABS, Sand (beach), Oval & Ribbon Tag Trio Nesties, Basic Grey Ribbon (SU)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now don't fall out of you chair, but.....I made a second card too!
I used Kona again and this time paired him with perfect, beachy-surfy paper from Scenic Route!
For some reason, I love this paper with this stamp set! I got the idea for this card from this week's sketch challenge from Little Paper Shop - LPSC32. I did not follow the sketch exactly, but used it for my inspiration!
I stamped Kona, colored him with Copics and airbrushed the background on. I decided to use sand on this one too. It looks darker on this card b/c I had already airbrushed a sandy look before deciding to add the sand. All of the layers were inked with VersaMark Chalk ink in Jumbo Java. I paired this Scenic Route paper with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Summer Sun cardstock.
Here are the copics I used for this card: Supplies: Stamps - Hangin' Loose with Kona (EP), sentiment (Stampendous); Paper: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie & Summer Sun (SU), Stamper's Select White (PTI), Scenic Route DP; Ink: Copics, Memento, Versa Mark chalk ink - Jumbo Java; Accessories: Circle, Pinking & Ribbon Tag Trio Nesties, Copic ABS, Sand (beach), Chocolate Chip Twill (SU)
That's it for now! I do have another card to post, but have to cook dinner and get kids off to soccer practice in the next 45 minutes...so, maybe later, maybe tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by! ~Tori
A Fall Card!
Wow! I must be on a roll today! This is my 3rd post for the day and 2nd card to complete today! That is a good day!
I made this quick little circular card for Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #16!
I am in love with PTI products! I am really loving this new Boo To You set! I used my largest scalloped circle nestability to create the card using Summer Sunrise cardstock. I stamped the stars in Dark Chocolate and inked the edges of the card with Summer Sunrise. The pumpkin was stamped on Vintage Cream using Dark Chocolate and Summer Sunrise, then layered on Dark Chocolate and Kraft cardstock. I sponged around the edges of the Vintage Cream to make it look more rustic. The sentiment was done the same way and punched using SU's word window punch and the modern label punch. I added some Dark Chocolate buttons and polka dotted ribbon as well as some linen thread (SU) to finish off the card.
Here are the colors Dawn picked for the challenge:
I will probably stick this card in one of my kids lunches as it gets closer to Halloween. They love to get little notes in their lunches!
Thanks for stopping by....Again! LOL! Have a great night!~Tori
Tea Two Ways!
Hello, again! I finally had some time to download and edit my pictures! Here I have two cards using my new Tea for Two set from PTI. I am loving this new set! Well, new to me, anyway! LOL!
My first card: Sip & Relax
In addition to the Tea for Two set, I used Polka Dots Basics II & Guide Lines two set. I stamped the tea pot on Vintage Cream using Sweet Blush and inked the edges with Spring Moss. The sentiment was stamped using Aqua Mist. I used Versamark ink to stamp the Spring Moss with the Guide lines two set. I used buttons in Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush, and Spring Moss.
Here is the 2nd card: Herbal Tea Company
I stamped the tea pot in Berry Sorbet on Stamper's Select white cardstock and then layered onto Spring Moss. I stamped the sentiment on Spring Moss using Ripe Avocado ink. The background paper was created using Guide Lines two pre-printed cardstock using Berry Sorbet, Ripe Avocado, and Spring Moss. I added a little Ripe Avocado ribbon.
For the inside of the card, I created a pocket by sewing around the edges. I added the sentiment using Memento ink. This pocket holds a tea bag perfectly!
Stamps: Tea for Two, Polka Dot Basics II, & Guide Lines two (all PTI)
Paper: Vintage Cream, Aqua Mist, Spring Moss, Sweet Cream
Ink: Sweet Cream, Aqua Mist, Spring Moss, Versamark
