Sweet Birthday!

Hello, hello! Yes, it's me again! I am finally back from my trip to West Palm Beach & New Smyrna Beach for the holiday week. My in-laws were here for 9 days, but have now gone back to PA. I am hopefully back to crafting at a more regular pace. I have missed it!

Today, Pink Cat Studio has some new Digi Releases!

This is Strawberry Lily. I thought she would make a perfect birthday card for a little girl in my son's class that is turning 5 and having her party this weekend. Her Mom is a SU Demo, so she will appreciate a hand-made card! LOL!

I printed her on PTI White paper and colored her with Copics (listed below). The sentiment is one of PCS' free sentiments - available here. I created a mask of her and then airbrushed around her using my YG11 Copic. I airbrushed the base flowers another shade of green to match. I love this strawberry paper from Basic Grey's Nook & Pantry DP. I also airbrushed the doilie I used with some R02. Here are the Copics I used.

These are the new digi's available. Look at the cutie pie free stamp available only today!!

Supplies:

Paper: Wild Wasabi, Dustry Durango - SU, Basic Grey - Nook & Pantry

Ink: Copic Markers, Copic Airbrush, Inkessentials White Gel Pen

Accesories: Tag Punch - SU, Fern Punch - Martha Stewart, Primas, Nestabilities, ATG Gun, Scor-Pal

Make a Wish Tilda! **Bev Barkley don't peek!!**

Happy Friday, y'all! I hope everyone is enjoying their summer so far. Mine has been super-busy and that's why I have been absent. I have gone on 2 trips with my family and my in-laws are coming in town today for 9 days. I will probably be scarce for a while again, but I promise to get back to my scrappy ways soon!

Anyhow, down to business!! I made this card for Bev Barkley, my June Mingle partner on the Magnolialicious group. The theme was birthday and I was in a Wild Wasabi mood! I really hope she likes it! I decided to ink up Tilda with Gifts. I purchased her from Magnolia-licious here.
I pulled out some Basic Grey Nook & Pantry to go along with my WW as well as some Crushed Cherry. The sentiment is from the Cupcake Collection PTI set. I used my new Martha Stewart cupcake border punch, the Modern Tag Label from SU and some WW ribbon, also by SU.
I colored her with my Copics and cut her out. It's hard to tell by the photo, but I added some stickles to her packages as well as some Glossy Accents to her shoes. Finally, I drew some polka dots on her apron with an Inkessentials white gel pen.

I forgot to snap a pic of the copics used, but I will try to add it later today. Lots of cleaning, etc to do right now!

Toodles!

Pink Cat Studio Digi Release Thursday

Hello All! I am still taking a brief hiatus from my DT duties. We just got back from a family reunion in Kentucky and now my in-laws come in town for 9 days starting tomorrow! It has been a whirlwind summer so far! Looking forward to some relaxing time around the pool over the next few weeks.

It's Thursday, so that means that PCS has another awesome Digi Release for you today! Aren't these bathing beauties adorable?? And the Owls? What a hoot!! LOL - I am cheesy today...

Hope you are having a wonderful summer so far. It has been blazin' hot here - 100 degrees twice last week. It does not usually get that hot until August here. We also have ridiculously-high humidity here, so it feels much warmer.

Have a wonderful night and be sure to check out the other DT girls' blogs!

Hugs,

Fun in the Sun Billy

Happy Thursday, y'all! Wow, I am so late getting this posted - my week has totally gotten away from me!! PCS had new digi's out today and you will love them!!

This is the Billy Rides A Turtle image. Isn't he adorable in his flowery trunks?

This was a pretty quick card for me to make. I used some Scenic Route DP from last year along with some Kraft, Crushed Cherry and Very Vanilla card stock. For the background, I sponged some Baja Breeze ink around my cloud templates that I bought at my LSS on the Vanilla paper. Then, I tore some Kraft paper and sponged it with some Sand Ink (CTMH). I glued some beach sand (real sand I scooped up from a beach trip!!) to the torn edges of the kraft paper. I used this Martha Stewart shell border punch and cut the shells out and inked them with So Saffron Ink. The cute sun sentiment is one of PCS' Free Sentiments!! I colored it with Copics, cut it out and covered it with Stickles.

Here is a close-up of this beach bum and his buddy. I colored them with Copics, cut them out and popped them up with 3-D foam tape.

Hope you have a wonderful rest of the night! Hugs,

Captain Edwin says Ahoy, Matey!

Happy Tuesday, y'all! I hope everyone had a nice long weekend! We spent Memorial Day (US National Holiday) weekend at our condo in New Smyrna Beach, FL. It was pretty crowded, but a wonderful and relaxing time! I will try to post some beach pics later.

It seems like it has been forever since I have posted a Magnolia card! I have been really busy and it seems like my insanity of chaos is just starting! (can't wait until school is out!) I made this card last weekend for a birthday party my youngest son went to. The birthday boy loves pirates and I thought Captain Edwin was perfect. His little friend still loves the pirate invites I sent out for Carson's party and decided to have a pirate party of his own! He loved this card! You can get Cap'n Edwin and the barrel & skull stamps over at Magnolia-licious!
This was a quick card...I used all PTI papers: Vintage Cream, Kraft and Enchanted Evening. I sponged some Tea Dye Distress Ink to all of the edges after I tore them. Nothing fancy, but it is for a boy!! I colored the images with Copics and cut them out. They were layered using 3-D foam tape. The sentiment comes from a SU pirate set.
Here is a side view, so you can see the layering.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful rest of the day!
