This weekend was another wet one in N. FL. I am so sick of the rain. This is not normal for it to rain this much. Two weeks ago, we got 20 inches in 1 week!! I am really tired of balancing the pool chemicals and draining the pool. Today is bright and sunny and I hope it lasts. Swim lessons are supposed to start this afternoon.
I finally got these done! School gets out on Wednesday, so now, I can relax and get back to playing around with my stamps! I got my new PTI order last week - I really like their products. This is the Teacher's Apple set. I picked this set because of the wonderful sentiments. I think they really show appreciation for a teacher's job.
These are cards for my boys teachers. They have both been phenomenal teachers and I am so appreciative for all of their time, talent and patience! I used: Lemon Tart, Spring Moss, Summer Sunrise, Sweet Blush, Ripe Avocado, Berry Sorbet and Polka Dot Parade DP. (All PTI) The ink is the coordinating PTI colors. I also used my Nesties.
I also made each of them a set of Thank you cards in a clear acrylic box (PTI) as part of the gift.
In addition to that, I put in some Mary Kay spa stuff. They will need it after teaching my boys! LOL! The above supplies were used in addition to a SU oval punch and "Thanks" - from the Live Your Dream set (SU). The box was really easy to decorate. I made a belly band using some Bazzill CS and added the same apple embellishment on the outside and viola - gift set! :)
Here are the teacher gifts I made for my daughter's teachers. I did something different, since she is in 7th grade and has 6 teachers (2 of which are male).
I just got this new Bag with Scallops die-cut in my last SU order. It makes the cutest little gift bag. I filled it with Hershey's Nuggets - yum! The thank you cards have $10 Starbucks cards in them. I figured the teacher's needed caffeine after dealing with a bunch of 7th graders! I still used the Teacher's Apple set, but decided to use some retiring SU In Colors - Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze with Urban Garden DP. On the little scallop flap, I added some Velcro so it would open and shut. I added a button from my stash and tied some linen thread through it. The ribbons were Baja Breeze and Kiwi Kiss.
Here is another variation on the same set using Haiku DP, So Saffron, and Tangerine Tango.
The ribbons used are Tangerine Tango and Apricot Appeal.
Have a great day!
