Big Announcement!!

Hi ladies, sorry no card today....I spent the weekend chaperoning a trip of 60 eighth grade band students to Disney!! (It was an overnight trip and I am still wiped out!!) It was a wonderful experience because they got to perform at Downtown Disney for the public. Many other schools were there from across the country, but we were the only middle school that performed! I also have my in-laws in town this week, so I will not be creating much. But, I do have a big announcement....

I made Whiff of Joy's Guest Design Team for the next 2 months!!

I am so excited to be included with such a talented group of girls, working with such awesome stamps! Hope you will stop by over the next few months and see what I create!

Wishing You a Happy Birthday Whiff of Joy style!

Happy Thursday, y'all. This is a busy week for me as my in-laws are coming in town on Friday. I will probably be absent most of next week b/c of my company visiting.

I made another birthday card today. I swear, I never have enough birthday cards on hand!

I was excited to ink up another one of my new Whiff of Joy stamps. Charlotte is so cute and looks so thoughtful! She reminds me of my daughter - she loves to lay (or sit) on the floor and doodle while watching tv. I decided to pull out some more retired SU DP (Afternoon Tea). Groovy Guava & Wild Wasabi compliment this paper nicely. I added some Chocolate Chip ink around all of the edges and created more paper flowers using 2 Martha Stewart hydrangea punches. After the flowers were punched, I crumpled them up and inked them as well. I used some Kaiser Craft pearls for the flower centers. The leaf punch is also Martha Stewart. The sentiment is one of Amy R's Birthday Sentiments. Here is a close-up of Charlotte. I used the following Copics on her:

Skin: E0000, 000, 00, 11, R20; Hair: E50, 53, 55, 57; Shirt/Socks: R0000, 00, 01, 02, 05; Pants: B91, 93, 95, 97; Rug: G20, YG63, & 67; Paper: E40, 41, 42, 43; Ink Pot: C1, 3; Shadows: W1, 3 & Colorless Blender 0.

Hope you had a nice day! Mine was a bit crazy - just lots to do before my company comes! ~Tori

Whiff of Joy Guest DT Call

Happy Monday again, folks!

Whiff of Joy is having a Guest DT call, so I thought I would give it a shot. I just recently got an order of these beauties in the mail and they were dying for some inky love! The specifics of the GDT call were to use:
At least 1 WOJ stamp, 1 card stock, 2 design papers, 1 button & 1 ribbon
For more info on the Call, check here.

I decided to ink up Willow with Flower Basket. Isn't she just gorgeous? I love all of the detail in the stamp. I pulled out some Making Memories Chloe's Closet DP and paired it with some So Saffron and Buckaroo Blue card stock. I decided to distress the edges of everything with my Heidi Swapp distressing tool, then, I added some stitching around the edges. The ribbon is some SU Apricot Appeal grosgrain.

I have really bad news, my beloved fern punch bit the dust today. I went to use it and a piece of metal went flying out of it onto the floor. So, no more fern punch until I locate a new one. I knew it was on the fritz and that it would not be lasting much longer, but it is still sad to see my most used tool break on me in such a time of need! LOL! Here is a close-up of Willow. I colored her with Copics, cut her out and popped her up on a panel that I airbrushed with B21, YG17 & YG25. I used a scallop circle mask to create the clouds behind her.

Here are the Copics I used: E0000, E000, E00, E31, 33, 35, 37, 50, 53, 55, 59, B91, 93, 95, 97, C1 & C3, Y21 & Y26, R20, YR00, 02, & 16 & YG95.

Here is a close-up of my hydrangea flower. It was so simple to make, but looks so pretty on the page! :) I punched the layers with the MS hydrangea punch and crumpled them and then flattening them out. I added my button to the center with a little twine. The leaves are another MS punch.

Supplies: Stamps - Willow with Flower Basket - Whiff of Joy, sentiment - SU;
Paper - SU card stocks, Gina K 120 White, Making Memories Chloe's Closet DP; Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black, Copics; Accessories - MS punches (leaves & hydrangea), Oval Punches (SU), Oval Nesties, Heidi Swapp distressing tool, Copic ABS, 3-D foam tape, button & twine (PTI), ribbon (SU), sewing machine

That's all! Wish me some luck! ~Tori

New Easter Digi's Now Available!

Happy Monday, Y'all!! It's another busy week this week for me as we have company coming in town later this week and I am behind as usual. We had a nice weekend filled with lots of spring cleaning and yard work. We did have a special family dinner Sunday night to celebrate my baby's birthday - my baby just turned 5 on Sunday. That is so hard for me to accept b/c he's my baby and he's growing up so fast!

Today, Pink Cat Studio is having an Easter Digi Release!! Go check out the new stuff here.
This is Easter Lily and her friend, one of the Easter Egg Chicks. She is so sweet with her basket of eggs. It 's a little hard to tell, but I added some Liquid Glass to all of the eggs. I went digging in my stash and found some Easter-like papers from Pine Cone Press. The yellow polka dot paper is Bo Bunny. I paired them with some Pretty in Pink and some So Saffron cardstock. The flower is one I crocheted myself. I do have some available in my Etsy store if you are interested in any. The ribbon is Bashful Blue (SU). I used some MS punches, Oval Nesties and some machine stitching. I created the sentiment on my pc and airbrushed it with some R83.
I colored Lily with Copics, cut her out and popped her up on the background panel with some 3-D foam tape. I airbrushed the background with some B21 & YG17.

Here is a sneak of some of the other images she released today. Go check them out!
Hope you enjoyed my card. Be sure to stop by the other PCS Digi DT girls' blogs and see what they cooked up this week! Have a great day! ~Tori

I've been a little busy....

making my son's birthday invites, but I am very pleased how they turned out!

Here is the pile of Edwin's and Tilda's that I colored with Copics and hand cut. I made 20 in all - boy was my hand tired after I finished these! I just got these new stamps from Magnolia-licious last week!

Here is the invite for the boys in his class: I printed the invite on Vintage Cream, cut notches around the edges and inked it with tea dye distress ink as well as some Basic Black. The "x" stamp is from a SU set. I got my inspiration for this invite from the current Magnolia Ink Magazine. We have this awesome Pirate Ship park in our neighborhood, so it is a perfect setting. Needless to say, Carson is very excited! :) Here is the version for the girls in my son's class.

Thanks for stopping by! ~Tori

You're Sweet Tilda

Yup, Post #2 for today!!
I am back today to share another Tilda card with you.
This is Ice Cream Tilda. I buy my Maggies from Magnolia-licous, but I think she might be out of stock right now. Isn't she just adorable eating her ice cream? Oh, the simple days when life was not complicated...ha, then we grew up and came to the real world! LOL! I had such a wonderful childhood and love reminiscing about the good ole days! I used some more of my new MME Home DP - love it b/c it's 2 color palettes in one, still in a 6x6 pad. And, it's glittery! I paired it with some PTI Summer Sunrise, Wild Wasabi (retired SU) and Confetti White cardstocks. The sentiment is from PTI's Cupcake Collection. I embellished the card with some primas, pearls, fern leaves (MS punch), satin ribbon, and the Swiss Dots embossing folder.
Here is a close-up of Tilda. I added some white gel pen to her cheeks as well as some Lime Green stickles to her ice cream. She was colored with Copics, cut out and popped up on top of the embossed panel. Copics used: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E50, 53, 55, 57, B91, 93, 95, 97, Y32, 35, 38, R20, G20, 21, & 24.

Have a great rest of the day! Thanks for looking! ~Tori

Just Riding By.....

Happy Thursday to ya! It is warmer in FL today, but overcast and rain is in the forecast. I have spent the morning cleaning out for upcoming house guests. It is so liberating to clean out your house. I pulled 12 storage boxes of baby clothes out of my closets that I am donating to a Catholic teenage pregnancy crisis center. In the fall, I donated most of my baby items - strollers, etc. I know these girls do not have much and it feels good to give it to those in great need. And, now I have lots more space in my house - Win-Win!!

Pink Cat Studio has another digi release today! Lily and Billy have come out of hibernation and are gettin' some exercise. You can shop here for these cuties.
This is Lily Rides a Bike. I wanted a pretty spring card, so I pulled out some of my new MME Home DP and matched it to Bermuda Bay and Pink Pirouette. I inked all of the pink papers with some matching PP ink. Not sure why I forgot all about BB, but it is a beautiful color. I used lots of different shaped nesties as well as the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The roses were layered on top of light pink primas and embellished with some floral wire that was twisted around a thin pencil and some leaves (MS punch). The sentiment is one of PCS' FREE Sentiments. Yup, I said FREE!! Awesome, eh?
Here is a close-up of Lily. I colored her with Copics and added some white gel pen to her dress and cheeks. I sponged around her with some Pink Pirouette ink.

Here is my second card, using the Billy Rides a Bike image.
I pulled out some SU Urban Garden DP along with some Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss and some Blue Bayou. I did not have Not Quite Navy, so I sponged the BB with Not Quite Navy - hey, if ya don't have it, fake it! :) I added some PTI buttons & twine along with some Baja Breeze ink. The panel behind Billy was embossed with a CB folder as well.
I colored Billy with Copics and added some white gel pen to his cheeks.

Hope you have a great day! TFL. ~Tori

You're A Star!!

Good Thursday Morning, Y'all! It is supposed to rain and be yucky most of the day today, so I guess I will stay home and craft....darn!

Today, Pink Cat Studio has a new digi release today. Isn't he cute?
I made a Tent Card for this image. The tutorial is here if you are interested. I used some Basic Grey Oh Baby Boy DP for this card along with some Certainly Celery and Summer Sunrise (PTI). The sentiment is one of Melissa's Free Digi Sentiments. The photo corners are a SU punch and the star punch is a Fiskars punch. I added some brads to match the jump rings I used.
Here is a close-up of Billy in his star costume. I added some lime stickles to the star he is holding, but it's a little hard to see.
Here is a sideview - so cute! These cards are super-easy to make!
Here are the digi images being released today - go check them out!

Wishing you a Happy Birthday

Happy Wednesday, y'all! It was a gorgeous day here in FL - sunny and 70's! I had to spend a little time outside today just to get some sunshine.

I am back with another Tilda card today. I really love the Jam Tilda image. (Unfortunately, she is out of stock right now, but I am sure Diana will have her soon!) In addition, I used the Old Bench image.
I loved making the Easel cards last week, so I just had to make another one! I reached back in my Basic Grey stash and pulled out some Urban Prairie. It goes nicely with Pink Pirouette and Cool Caribbean cardstock. I added some stitching and lots of Primas and pearls and of course, my beloved fern punch. I am going to have to find another one soon - it seems like it is breaking. It is so hard to punch lately and bends kinda funny.
Here is what the Easel card looks like standing up.

I stamped Tilda and then masked her off to stamp the bench. I then cut all of it out and popped it up on a circle that I airbrushed grass and clouds on.
Here is the inside of the card. I used one of Amy R's Birthday sentiments. I stamped it and then airbrushed the background with BG000.
Here is a sideview - these are so pretty standing up!

Here are the Copics I used.

Hope you have a great rest of the night. Be sure to check back tomorrow. PCS is having a new digi release and you won't want to miss it! ~Tori

Happy Birthday Tilda

Happy Sunday night, y'all. I am getting some work done in my office tonight watching the Oscars. I do not usually watch these awards shows, not sure why, just never got into them! I do have to mention, George Clooney, you need a haircut! I mean, c'mon, it's the Oscars! (Oh well, not a fan of his anyway!)

I do have a new Magnolia card to share with you tonight. I used Jam Tilda for this birthday card. I made this using the March sketch challenge on the Magnolia-licious Highlights Blog.

I think I am getting addicted to coloring these cuties! I love that they are so intricate and that you can really do some shading. I used some Basic Grey Lemonade along with some Pretty in Pink. I sponged some PIP ink around the edges. The sentiment comes from Amy R's Birthday Sentiments set. This is such a versatile set and I really love it! It has not seen much love lately, b/c it kind of got lost in the shuffle. I recently re-organized my scrap room and found it. It's like Christmas all over! I will try to post those pics soon, just keep forgetting to do it. I layered some of the new prima roses on top of some other primas I have had for quite some time. I used 2 Martha Stewart leaf punches. Lastly, I am so excited to have my sewing machine back from the shop, that I had to add some stitching to my card. Here is a close-up of Jam Tilda. I used Copics to color her and then masked her off to add the log and to airbrush the sky and ground. Here are the Copics I used: Skin - E0000, 000, 00, 11, R20; Dress - BG10, 11, 13, 72, R81, 83, 85; Hair - E50, 53, 55; Log - E59, 99, 33, 30; Sky - BG000, Grass - YG17, 97

Thanks for stopping by tonight! ~Tori

The Sky's the Limit!!

Good Morning, Y'all! It's Thursday and it looks like I am surviving another week pretty well. The weather is still chilly here, but sunny. Hopefully it will warm up before this weekend when the kids have soccer & lacrosse games.

Pink Cat Studio is having another digi release today!! You can find the new images here.

My first card uses the Billy Snowboarder image. This is my tribute to the US Men's Snowboarding Team, especially to Shaun White, since he won another gold! I don't know about you, I really enjoyed watching the Winter Olympics. I decided to step out of the box for this card and try my hand at an Easel card. I can't believe how completely easy they are to make! Here are the directions for making them.

I used some really old Basic Grey Dawson DP along with some Basic Grey (SU) & Bazzill cardstocks. I used a Heidi Swapp distressing tool to distress the edges of all of the papers and then added some Versa Mark chalk ink as well. I created the sentiment on my pc, cut it out with a nestie tag and then airbrushed it with some YR16. The snowflake border is an EK Success border punch. I used a MS snowflake punch and a phillips head screw brad that I colored with C7. The small snowflakes are were left over from the border punch. Here is a close-up of Billy. I masked him off and sponged some So Saffron around him. I used the following Copics: E0000, 000, 00, 08, 11, R20, YR12, 15, 16, B00, 02, 91, 93, 95, 97,
C1, 3, 5, & 7. I created his jacket using a colorless blender. I added some Liquid Glass (CTMH) to his goggles and snowboard.

Here is the inside of the card:
Here is my second card - Lily Snowboarder. I used a Magnolia-licious sketch for this card. I know this is super-bright, but it very cheery! I used some Basic Grey Lime Ricky. I bought this when it first came out, but I think this is the first time I ever used it. I thought it was perfect for this snowboarding princess! The sentiment was created on my pc and airbrushed with some YG25. I did not have any primas that matched this card, so I airbrushed them to match. Some Raspberry Fizz twill matched nicely with this DP. The bling is Doodlebug Designs.
I cut Lily out and popped her up on a background that I created a cloudy scene with my Copic ABS. I used these Copics on her: E0000, 000, 00, 11, 30, 35, 37, R20, RV11, 14, 17, 19, B000, 00, 02, 05, Y02, 11, YG 00, 21, 23, 25 & colorless blender.

Here is the inside of the card. I used a MS border punch to mimic the flowers on her board. Here is a peek of the new stamps that Melissa has in the store:
Be sure to check out the other PCS DT member's blogs - their addresses are on the right side of my blog.

Hope you have a wonderful day! I am off to play with some of my new stamps that came in the mail this week! I will be adding some new stuff to my Etsy store soon!

~Hugs, Tori
