Blobby is HERE!!

A Fine Thursday to y'all! I am finishing up last minute school stuff today. The kids are getting really excited about meeting their new teachers and seeing their friends again. I think I am more excited for them!! LOL!

I have a brand new Pink Cat Studio Digi card to share with you and it is YUMMY!

Meet Blobby! Isn't he too cute? He is Melissa's newest digi character over at PCS.
This is Blobby Topsy Turvy Cake. I colored him with my Copics and cut him out. I used these Copics: YG25, YG23, YG21, YG000, R20, B05, B02, B00, RV14, RV17, RV13, Y08. I added lots of Stickles to the cake.
Here is the card. You might want to wear shades while looking at this post! LOL! I used some Basic Grey Lime Rickey DP and some Yo Yo Yellow cardstock from SU. The cupcake template is available over at MFT. The sentiment is one of PCS' FREE SENTIMENTS. I airbrushed some white flowers with Copic Markers and added some buttons and PTI twine. I added some green ric rac to the bottom of the card and inked around the edges with some pixie pink SU ink.
Here is a sideview of the card. Love how it looks when it is standing!

Here are all of the images being released today! There is even a FREE digi if you purchase stamps today!

A Spooky Tilda!! 7 Kids Challenge #2!!

Happy Wednesday, Y'all! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far! I am off to run some last minute errands and then home to finish up some baby announcements I am making for some friends.

Today is Challenge #2 over at 7 Kids College Fund!!

This weeks challenge is:
Strip it Down - only 2 layers of DP!
The prize for this challenge is a Scor-It-All-Board!

Here is the card I made for this challenge, using So Spooky Tilda. She is such a sweetie with her broom - she certainly doesn't want to cast any spells or trick anyone! I used some of my beloved Eerie DP from Basic Grey along with some PTI cardstock. I bought the lacy stuff along the bottom part of the card at my LSS this past weekend. It was white, so I airbrushed it with some 100 (Black) Copic Marker. I also airbrushed the black flower!! I really had a hard time capturing how cool it looks in person on film. I added lots of clear stickles to all of the flowers. The sentiment is from a Halloween PTI set and the punches for the sentiment are from SU. I cut a white panel out using some of my Nesties and airbrushed it with some V17 and layered it behind Tilda. I add more dimension, I distressed the edges of most of the paper with black ink.

Here is a close-up of Tilda. She was colored with the following Copics and then cut out. Skin - E00, E11, E000, R20; Clothes - C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, YR18, YR15, YR12, YR0000; Hair - E57, E55, E53, E50; Broom - Y21, Y26, E37, E35, YR23

Delightful!!

Happy Monday! Got a busy week ahead of me with getting the kids ready for school, but had some time to finally create some cards with the images I colored last week!

Look at this little doll....Isn't she just DELIGHTFUL?? Ha!

I know Halloween is a bit away, but I am already getting in the spirit; especially after seeing the new CC Designs Halloween Stamps!! This is Halloween Birgitta. I used some Basic Grey Eerie DP along with some Kiwi Kiss and Perfect Plum (both SU) carstocks. I created the scene by masking off the top and airbrushing the bottom with YG25, YG93, & YG 97 Copic Markers. For the sky, I punched a hole in a post-it note and laid it over my background piece to create a reverse mask and airbrushed the moon with some Y17 Copic Marker. I then used the circle I punched to mask off my moon and airbrushed RV12, RV15 & RV17 for the sky. I sponged some black ink around the edges of my sky. The fence Birgitta is sitting on is a Martha Stewart border punch. (This is a great substitute for the one I have - bought it last yr) I airbrushed a doily (Wilton) with some 100 (black) Copic marker and then used it to layer my image.

Here is the finished product! To create the cute ribbon embellishments, I followed Tori Wild's tutorial. The sentiment is from a Halloween PTI set and the punches used for the sentiment are from SU.

Copics Used:
Skin - E00, E000, R20; Dress - C9, C7, C5, C3, C1; Wings - YG25, YG21, Hair - YR18, YR16, YR12, 0 - Colorless Blender

Cupcake!!

Happy Friday!! It's rainy here today, so a perfect day to get scrappy! I have a cute cupcake-shaped card to share with you today.

I purchased the template for this cupcake here. I used the hand-cut version and it was really simple to make! I used the Miss Rosalie stamp from CC Designs. She was colored with these Copics: Skin - E000, E00, R20; Dress, Stockings & Shoes - R85, R83, R81, RV000, E42, E41, E40; Hair - E57, E55, E53, E50. I pulled out a sentiment from PTI and used my oval Nestabilities to cut it out. I pulled out some Penny Lane DP and paired it with some Vintage Cream cardstock that I distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I ran the top part of the cupcake through my Cuttleug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The roses are from Prima and the pink one is from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used 2 different leaf punches - the rounded one being from EK Success and the other one Nellie Snellen. Here is a sideview of the card. I used the striped DP to cover the inside of the card.

Supplies:

Stamps - Miss Rosalie (CC Designs), sentiment (PTI)

Ink - Memento, Copics, Distress Inks

Paper - Vintage Cream (PTI), Penny Lane DP

Accessories - Ribbon, Nestabilities, Flowers (Prima & WOC), Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Scoring Tool, ATG Gun, Leaf Punches

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Back 2 School

Yup! It's almost that time of year!! The kiddos go back to school soon and I can honestly say, I am ready for a little break from having 3 kids at home all of the time.

Today, Pink Cat Studio has some awesome new Back To School Themed Digi's available today!!
This is Back To School Billy - isn't he too cute? He has all of his supplies and even an apple for teacher! I printed him on PTI paper and colored him with Copics. I then sponged some Brilliant Blue around the image. It is hard to tell, but I added some Glossy Accents to the apple and the front of his lunchbox. The papers I used are: Blue (Bazzill), Riding Hood Red, More Mustard and some KI Memories School Days DP. I used an oval paper clip from MM and some Night of Navy Ribbon from SU. The edge punch is also from SU as well as the tag punches. I printed the sentiment on my pc. Here are all of the cute School Digi's available and there is even one free if you purchase images today!!
Happy Stamping! I am hoping to get some more cards finished soon. I have colored lots of images over the last week, now to just turn them into cards!
Hugs,

First 7 Kids Challenge!!

Happy Wednesday, ladies!! Hope everyone is having a wonderfully scrappy day! Today is the kick off for the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog!!

The first challenge theme is: Pink & Polka Dots!! Be sure to stop by and check out all of the specifics. One winner will be chosen randomly to win a $50.00 gift card to the 7 Kids store!!!

Here is the card I made for the challenge. I used my most favorite Magnolia Stamp, Jam Tilda.

For the background, I used the Spring Fence stamp. I stamped it with Staz-On on watercolor paper and used Tim Holtz Re-inkers to color it. The watercoloring is pretty new to me, so bear with me as I work on it! Tilda was stamped on Copic Paper and colored with Copics - sorry ladies, I was not brave enough to try watercoloring her too!! I had to pull out some more Basic Grey Infuse DP - I can never get enough Basic Grey!! I paired it with some Pretty in Pink & Old Olive cardstock. The sentiment is from a PTI Ltd. Edition Set. I cut the sentiment out with a Labels Trio Nestability and airbrushed it with some Copic Marker. I used my sewing machine around the DP. I added some PTI ribbon, Prima Roses, Martha Stewart Floral Lace Border punch and some leaves for embellishments.
Here is a close-up of Tilda. I used some Inkssentials Gel pen to add polka dots to her dress and some Stickles on the flowers at her feet.

Supplies:

Stamps - Jam Tilda, Spring Fence, Sentiment (PTI)

Paper - Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Copic Paper, Watercolor Paper

Ink - Memento, Staz-On, Copics, Distress Re-Inkers

Accessories - Inkssentials Gel Pen, Labels Trio Nestability, Stickles, Sewing Machine, PTI Ribbon, Prima Roses, Nellie Snellen Leaf Punch, ATG Gun, Scoring Tool, Martha Stewart Border Punch, Copic ABS

Have A Magical Summer and some awesome NEWS!!

Happy Monday, y'all! It has been a busy and piping HOT day here in FL! My boys are doing soccer camp this week and it is blistering outside. I feel terrible for them that it is so hot. Also, we went school clothes/shoe shopping today. Clothes shopping for a 14 yr old girl is PUNISHMENT I tell ya! She likes nothing and you about have to bribe her to try anything on. We did luck out and finally find some jeans that fit her nicely. It is a struggle with her b/c all of her friends wear those 'skinny' jeans and she is very athletic and they do not look good b/c they are too tight on her legs. When you try to tell her that, she thinks she's fat...Oh well I cannot win! But, my Mom laughs b/c she says it's payback because I was the worst to take shopping!

Okay, enough about my rant....I have a new Maggie card to share with you! Some of you may recognize this card. It was featured in Suzanne Dean & Marti Wills scrappy magazine Through the Craftroom Door for a sewing tutorial in the July/August Issue. If you have not subscribed, you should consider. It is chocked-full of inspiration and cool tips!
This card features Flying Tilda in all of her magical glory! I cut the stamped image out using my Octagon Nestabilities and layered her on a scalloped piece. The cardstock is some retired SU and the DP is some Basic Grey Urban Prairie. I airbrushed the Prima flowers with some Copic Markers and added some pearls to the center. The sentiment was computer generated and punched with a SU punch and finally airbrushed as well.
Here is a close-up of her. You can see her sparkly wings. I loaded them up with lots of Stickles! Tilda was colored with lots of Copic Markers (oops, forgot to snap a pic - sorry!)

Now for the AWESOME NEWS!!!!

7 Kids College Fund is starting a CHALLENGE BLOG!!
