Pink Cat Studio Black Friday Special!

Happy Black Friday to ya! Are you planning on shopping like a maniac today? Not me. I might run to Michael's and pick up a few things with my coupons, but other than that, I am pretty much done with all of my Christmas shopping! I know, I am a little crazy, but most of this month is already scheduled out with holiday parties and school stuff!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anywho, on to the important stuff!!
Pink Cat Studio is having a Black Friday Special!!
"If you spend $3.00 or more in the digital or rubber stamp stores today then you will receive this new Sugar Plum Fairy digital stamp for free! This special offer will end at midnight EST Fri. Nov. 27th!"
Isn't she just an adorable little thing?
Click --> HERE <-- to shop! Here is a card I made using her:
I used SU papers for this card. I did not have Primas that matched very well, so I airbrushed the purples ones with V06 and sponged Crushed Curry on the yellowish ones. I added some bling to all of the centers - what's a card without the bling, right? The sentiment is one of Melissa's free sentiments!
Here is a close-up of the sugarplum fairy. I inked around the image with some Pumpkin Pie and added Stickles to her wings, skirt and collar. Here is a rundown of the colors I used to color her:
Skin - E00, E000, E0000, R20; Clothes - V000, V01, V06; G20, G99; Hair - Y21, YR15, YR16.
Hope you have a fabulous day shopping! I am hoping to knock out some more projects as well as put up my Christmas decorations! Be sure to stop by PCS' website to grab some goodies and get the SugarPlum Fairy while she is free!
One last thing, this card will be up in my Etsy Store sometime today! ~Tori
Happy Turkey Day!
Happy Turkey Day, y'all!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day and remembering what they are thankful for. I am so thankful that my family is healthy (even my 4 year old is pretty healthy, despite his asthma issues), happy and able to spend the holiday together. I am also thankful that my nephew came home from Iraq & Afghanistan safe. He was deployed many times over the last 8 years. He just finished his service in the Marine Corps and is now a civilian. I am thankful to the men and women who risk their lives, serving in the military, so that we may live safely in this awesome country! What are you Thankful for?
Today, I have a quick card to share with you. I finally got started on my family Christmas cards! So far, I have made 45, but still have another 70 or so to make. I have to keep it relatively simple when making that many.
I got the idea for this card from Geny Cassady's instructions HERE. I used PTI's Snowflake Serenade stamp set. I have a lot of SU paper left over still, so I used Not Quite Navy, Old Olive and Very Vanilla cardstock along with matching inks. I also used Bashful Blue and Chocolate Chip ink. Lastly, I added some clear Stickles to some of the snowflakes for a little shimmer. I think it is elegant, yet simple - just how I like it when I make multiples of something! I will probably make some other color variations of this card, since I am now out of Navy!
Have a wonderful holiday and do not eat too much! LOL! It's the one day you are supposed to eat too much! Can't wait for all of the yummy food later today! :)
I have a quick poem to share with you that someone emailed me:
May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs!
Eat lots and have fun shopping it off tomorrow! ~ Tori
Warmest Wishes Anyas!
Happy Tuesday Ladies! I know I have not blogged in a bit, but we went to Disney's Animal Kingdom this weekend and then to visit friends in Lake Mary. We had a great time visiting and hanging out as a family. Of course, I cannot be without my Copic markers and images to color! So, I packed some of my fav colors up and off we went. I have been so busy lately, I have been carrying my markers with me everywhere I go! Does anyone else take their stuff with them and work on things? I took them to the Ford Dealership the other day to work on some stuff and got some funny looks!
I am going to share some of the images I made last week with ya today. This is The Greeting Farm's newest Autumn Anya Digi!! Yay - you know how much I {heart} digi's! :) I fell in love with her hair at first sight...and Ugg boots - so cute!
These Miss Anya's remind me so much of my 13 year old daughter, who has long blond hair. In the last year, has become very picky about clothing, hair, etc - oh, the teenage years! She is a sweetie tho - we are very blessed in that regard! This stamp screamed at me since she wants a pair of Ugg-type boots for Christmas (**shhh...she's gettin' some!) Here in FL, it is awfully warm to wear them, but even when it's 85 outside, I see girls wearing them! I used some Basic Grey Eva Paper paired with Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss. The sentiment is from PTI's Holiday Treats Set. Love the sentiments in that set! I used oval nesties, Marvy (snowflake) & SU (ovals) punches as well as a dew drop and some Stickles to complete the card.
Here is a close-up and a rundown of some of the colors I used for her:
Face - E000, E00, R20; Hair - E50, Y21, Y26; Scarf - YG00, G99, G20; Jeans - B91, 93, 95, 97; Jacket - R81, 85 & 89; Boots - E30 & 33. I also airbrushed the background with YG000.
Ok, so you will notice a trend....I used the same image on all of my cards! So, if you did not like Anya , you can stop reading here! LOL!
Ok, now that I know you are still reading, b/c she's too cute to hate, here is card #2!
This is another blond Anya using some Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DP along with Pink Pirouette and Old Olive cardstock. This sentiment comes from PTI's '09 Holiday Tag Collection. I used SU's word window and modern label punches for this sentiment and a Christmas Tree border punch from EK Success to go above the strip of houses. I added more snowflakes, Stickles and dew drops to this one too.
For this one, I used the same colors as above, except the background was lightly airbrushed using BG10 and the jacket was colored with RV21 & 29.
For card #3, I made virtually the same card as the first one, using same DP, etc. Except, her hair is a darker blond!
I added a few more snowflakes, Stickles - you get the point!
See her hair? I love this color combo, because it really pops! For her hair, I used: E47, 50, 53 & 59!
Here's #4! I know, I know, you probably never want to see this Anya again by now, but she is just adorable to me. I would finish coloring one and start another one!
For the card, I used some more Eskimo Kisses DP, but paired it with Riding Hood Red and Old Olive this time. I kept the sketch the same (why ruin a good thing, eh?) and just added a simple small Clever Lever snowflake punch and a dew drop.
The colors for this one are the same except for:
Scarf - R32, 35, & 37; Jacket - G20, 94 & 99. I airbrushed the background using BG000 and created dots on her scarf using the colorless blender. I love how the dots turned out.
I hope I did not bore you to tears with my repetitive image and sketch! I will be adding some of these and other cards to my Etsy store soon - hopefully today!
On another note, I got all of my Thanksgiving shopping done this morning! The kids get out early today, so I wanted to finish that and avoid the stores when it will be so crowded! Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Hugs, ~Tori
Merry Christmas, Kitty!
Happy Friday, y'all! It is another warm and sunny day here in N. FL! The weather has been gorgeous lately, but not at all like fall!
Is everyone going to see New Moon this weekend? I would love to, but we have a busy weekend planned. I am sure we will see it next week, while the kids are out of school. My 13 year old daughter is itching to see it! I think she is for 'Team Edward'! She has read all of the books and is quite the guru on all things Twilight. I have not read any of the books, just have not had the time to start them yet. I would like to read them, tho.
I have another Christmas card to share with you today! Pink Cat Studio has released the Christmas Kitty rubber stamps as digi images too! This is the Kitty in Tree image.
This little mischievous kitty is too cute! I am sure she is just straightening the Christmas balls on the tree! I used some more of my Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. I had trouble finding a 'purple' color that would go with this DP, but after consulting one of my favorite guru's Tori Wild, I used Perfect Plum cardstock inked with the matching ink to make it darker. Thanks for the help, girlie! If you have not checked her out, go look - she is uber-talented! I also used Pink Pirouette - one of my favorite pinks ever! Thank goodness I got lots of it while it was still available! The sentiment is, of course, one of PCS' Free Sentiments! Let's face it, Melissa ROCKS! She is so generous and talented and I am so appreciative to be a part of her digi team! For the embellishment, I punched more fern leaves (big surprise there, eh? Hee, hee!) and covered them with Stickles. I also added a PTI button and some white crochet thread. The sentiment was cut using a tag nestie and airbrushed with BG000.Here is a close-up of 'bad kitty'! She is too cute to be bad, eh? Cats are so awesome, I just wish I was not allergic to them. I have terrible allergies and am allergic to most animals, trees, grass, etc.
I colored the image with Copics, masked it and then airbrushed the background. I added more Stickles to the ornaments on the tree.
Gotta run - I have a busy weekend and lots to do before the kiddos get home today! Have a great weekend. If you do see the movie, I would love to know what you think! :) Have a wonderful weekend! ~Tori
Get Well Soon! - New PCS Release!
Happy Thursday to ya! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods! Today, the kids have dental appointments - in and out all at once!
Also, Pink Cat Studio has new digi's available today! Click here to check them out!
My first card uses the Sick Lily Digi Image. I made a card and a tissue holder gift set. I got the idea for this from Stephanie's Blog. She has a video tutorial here.I used some SU Raspberry Lemonade DP along with Melon Mambo, Crushed Cherry and Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I had some SU felt flowers left over from a few years ago - they go perfectly with the Melon Mambo!
Here is a close-up of the card. I used one of Melissa's free digi images. I cut it out using a tag nestie and inked it with Crushed Cherry. I punched a flower with a Marvy punch in Razzleberry and layered it under the felt flower. I added a Basic Grey button and some DMC floss.
Here is what the tissue holder looks like without the belly band. The box holds a Kleenex small tissue pack and can be refilled.
Here is a close-up of our little sickie! :) She's looking a little pale, eh? And her temp is way high! LOL - went a little too far with the red marker!
Here is my second card - Sick Billy. He reminds me of my littlest one who has asthma and is always sick! He is only 4, but spends plenty of time on the couch down and out. I made another card and tissue holder set, but the card has a little surprise!
I dug waaaayyyy back in my stash and found some totally vintage Basic Grey - Dazed and Confused - I swear it was one of the first sets that ever came out! I love this stuff! I used some coordinating Bazzill with the DP. I had a hard time decorating this tissue holder - I could not come up with a boy embellishment, so I figured just leave it plain - my sons would just stand Lego men on top of it anyway! LOL!
Here is my little secret to my card! It holds 2 cup-a-soup packets! I got this idea from Suzanne Dean's post HERE, but modified it to fit the soup packets. This size would also fit cocoa packets like these. They are shorter and wider than the Land-O-Lakes gourmet packets. My dimensions are 8.5 x 8.5 and score at 4" and 4.5" vertically and then follow the rest of her directions.
Here is a close-up of this cutie-pie! I colored him with Copics and then inked around the edges of the circle with some caramel chalk ink.
Off and running! Have a fabulous day! ~Tori
Sending Joy - Betty
Happy Wednesday Ladies! Hope everyone is having a fabulous day! Not too much on tap for me today, just getting my oil changed - fun, fun! Maybe that means I will have some time to stamp today! Yay!
I do have a quick PCS digi card to share with you. This set is also available in rubber. You can find the digi's here and the rubber stamps here.
This is Betty Candy Cane Fairy. Isn't she just magical? I think she is really sweet! I used some more Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DP along with some Riding Hood Red and Old Olive. I added some white stitching and used my new "loopy-loop" Martha Stewart border punch. I also used my new Nestie inverted scallop circles and a Nestie tag. Of course, it isn't one of my cards with out using Martha's fern punch! I am in love with it! I added a PTI button and some white DMC floss to finish it off.
Here is a close-up of Betty. I colored her with my Copics, added some white Gel pen to her cheeks and added some fun flock 'fur trim' to her hat and skirt. I added some Stickles to her wand, but it turned out a little gloppy! :( Oh well, she is still too cute! I colored the background using BG10 and then used a colorless blender to make the background swirly and some snowy dots! I did the same thing to the tag.
Gotta run and get that oil changed! LOL! Have a great rest of the day! ~Tori
New PCS Rubber Stamps!
Happy Monday to ya! Hope you had a great weekend! We had a busy one as usual, but all sports are finally over until Spring! On Saturday, we had our final 3 soccer games (went off and forgot my camera.....bad Mommy, bad!) and 2 end of season soccer parties. On Sunday, my daughter finished her Fall Ball season of Lacrosse. She is trying out for Volleyball soon, so maybe sports aren't quite over!
I do not have any cards to share with you today, just a quick post about some new rubber stamps that are now available from Pink Cat Studio!
Aren't they too cute? These include a Lily image and a coordinating sentiment! You can buy them HERE.
I have been working on some new stuff and hope to get it posted soon! I have been busy trying to get my Christmas shopping done and cleaning my house, etc. I am hoping to have more time to stamp now that sports are over and I don't have practices and games 5 days a week!
Have a great night! ~Tori
