Birthday Wishes Tilda - 7 Kids Challenge #3!

Happy Wednesday! I can't believe the week is half-over all ready. I am really looking forward to Friday night - my daughter has her first band performance at the football game as a freshman. I can't wait to see her playing the marumba in her uniform. I will have to post some pics this weekend.

Today is Challenge #3 over at the 7 Kids Challenge Blog:
Recipe - 3 Flowers, 2 DP and something Sparkly!
I used Tilda with Wedding Gifts stamp from Magnolia for this card. I like it because of its versatility as a birthday or wedding image! The DP is from Memory Box and it was paired with some Spring Moss (PTI) and some Baja Breeze (SU). I distressed the edges of the DP with a Tim Holtz distressing tool and layered my stamped image on panels cut out using Nestabilities. The lattice border punch can be found here and the leaf punch can be found here. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I added some clear Stickles to them for my sparkly! The sentiment is from Amy R's Birthday Sentiments (CC Designs) and the punch is from SU.
Tilda was colored using Copics and cut out. I added lots of Stickles to her packages for my 'something sparkly'. She is popped up with dimensional tape.

Be sure to pop on over and look at the other DT members projects too!
I am off to fit some sort of a workout in this morning! Wish me luck!

Just a Note!!

Happy Friday, y'all!! I hope everyone is having a good day! I have been getting scrappy in my office today.

I was looking for a quick and easy gift to make for teachers, friends, etc. I found a great template and made two sets of gift cards and holders.
I found this Notecard Template from PTI. It is so quick to put together! I used the Laying Nora CC Designs stamp to quickly embellish. She was colored using Copics. This cute paper is from KaiserCraft Hippy Girl DP stack. All of the embellishments are from PTI. This set includes 6 cards and envelopes.
Here is the second set. This sentiment says "Just A Note".
I used paper from the same DP set.
Copics Used:
Skin - E000, E00, R20
Hair - E57, E55, E53, E50
Dress & Flower - RV10, RV13, RV14, BG10, BG11, Y15, YR68

Stamps - Laying Nora (CC Designs), sentiments (PTI)
Paper - Kraft, Aqua Mist (both PTI), Kaiser Craft Hippy Girl DP
Accessories - Sookwang Tape, Scoring Tool, Timeless Template (PTI), Word Window Punch (SU), Button, Ribbon, Twine (all PTI), EK Success border punch

Have a fabulous weekend. I plan on relaxing and spending time with the family this weekend!

Take Care!

Happy Thursday, y'all. Hope everyone is doing well this morning. Today, Pink Cat Studio has some new Get Well Digi's. They are giving out the cutest Free Digi with purchase today! I used the Nurse Betty image for my card. I chose soft colors and lots of flowers for my get well card.
I used some Memory Box Gossamer DP along with some Lavendar Moon PTI cardstock and some Bazzill cardstock (minty color). The sentiment is from a PTI set and the tag punch is from SU. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaf punches are available here. I used a Martha Stewart Lattice Border punch and a distressing tool for the layered papers. The printed image was cut out and layered using Nestabilities.

Betty was colored with these Copic Markers: Skin - E000, E00, R20; Dress - RV91, RV93, RV95; Hair - E57, E55, E53, E50; Bear - E30, E33, E35, E37, G12, G00, G0000; Hat - C3, C1, C00

Hope y'all have an awesome day! Toodles!

Coffee Time!

Happy Friday, y'all! I have a jam-packed day of school stuff today, but wanted to she a quick project I did this week using Starbucks Via packets. I thought these would be a cute and quick gift to give a teacher or friend as a Thank You, etc. As you probably know, Starbucks sells these Via Instant Coffee packs that hold 3 packets. I took one of the packages apart and made my own packaging. C'mon - we are scrappy gals, of course everything has to be re-packaged and have a stamp of some sort incorporated into the mix, right?
So here is my version!

To create the packaging, I disassembled the original packaging and traced around it - really inventive, huh? I did tweak it a bit for my needs. I used some Kaiser Craft Lush DP and paired it with some Basic Grey and Really Rust cardstocks - both from SU. I used the Warm Happiness PTI set to create a really simple focal point. The mug was stamped using coordinating inks, cut out and layered onto some Vintage Cream (PTI) cardstock. I used my Oval Nestibilities to cut it out and inked around the edges of the stamped image with some BG ink.

Instead of making the top flap fold into the bottom flap like the original package, I created a simple belly band with the help of a scoring tool and some measuring. The belly band slides off and viola, you can get to the goods! Here is a peek of the inside - very simple. I guess I could have lined it with some DP, but I was just playing around with this one and I got it right on my first try! Sometimes when trying a new altered item or template, I have to make a few samples of it to work out the kinks. Next time, I can embellish it more, just wanted to see how it came out. The packet still holds 3 Via packets just like the original one. This packaging could hold other individually packaged mixes like Crystal Light and I think Splenda is even packaged like this too. I recently bought the Taster's Choice version like these while on vacation and it was surprisingly very good! They are probably a lot cheaper than Starbucks version and come 20 to a package, so they would be a cute and economical accompaniment to a coffe mug for a present or something of the sort!
Well, I am off to drink some coffee now! I use my Keurig Coffee maker - totally addicted to it! Maybe I need to make a Keurig Coffee Gift Set....hmmm...wheels are turning...a box that holds 2 pods and a cute card to match.....hmmmm....might be coming down the pike soon!

Have a great day!

This is Blobby Topsy Turvy Cake. I colored him with my Copics and cut him out. I used these Copics: YG25, YG23, YG21, YG000, R20, B05, B02, B00, RV14, RV17, RV13, Y08. I added lots of Stickles to the cake.
Here is the card. You might want to wear shades while looking at this post! LOL! I used some Basic Grey Lime Rickey DP and some Yo Yo Yellow cardstock from SU. I added some green ric rac to the bottom of the card and inked around the edges with some pixie pink SU ink.

A Spooky Tilda!! 7 Kids Challenge #2!!

Happy Wednesday, Y'all! I hope everyone is having a wonderful day so far! I am off to run some last minute errands and then home to finish up some baby announcements I am making for some friends.

Today is Challenge #2 over at 7 Kids College Fund!!

This weeks challenge is:
Strip it Down - only 2 layers of DP!
The prize for this challenge is a Scor-It-All-Board!

Here is the card I made for this challenge, using So Spooky Tilda. She is such a sweetie with her broom - she certainly doesn't want to cast any spells or trick anyone! I used some of my beloved Eerie DP from Basic Grey along with some PTI cardstock. I bought the lacy stuff along the bottom part of the card at my LSS this past weekend. It was white, so I airbrushed it with some 100 (Black) Copic Marker. I also airbrushed the black flower!! I really had a hard time capturing how cool it looks in person on film. I added lots of clear stickles to all of the flowers. The sentiment is from a Halloween PTI set and the punches for the sentiment are from SU. I cut a white panel out using some of my Nesties and airbrushed it with some V17 and layered it behind Tilda. I add more dimension, I distressed the edges of most of the paper with black ink.

Here is a close-up of Tilda. She was colored with the following Copics and then cut out. Skin - E00, E11, E000, R20; Clothes - C9, C7, C5, C3, C1, YR18, YR15, YR12, YR0000; Hair - E57, E55, E53, E50; Broom - Y21, Y26, E37, E35, YR23

Happy Monday! Got a busy week ahead of me with getting the kids ready for school, but had some time to finally create some cards with the images I colored last week!

Look at this little doll....Isn't she just DELIGHTFUL?? Ha!

I know Halloween is a bit away, but I am already getting in the spirit; especially after seeing the new CC Designs Halloween Stamps!! This is Halloween Birgitta. I used some Basic Grey Eerie DP along with some Kiwi Kiss and Perfect Plum (both SU) carstocks. I created the scene by masking off the top and airbrushing the bottom with YG25, YG93, & YG 97 Copic Markers. For the sky, I punched a hole in a post-it note and laid it over my background piece to create a reverse mask and airbrushed the moon with some Y17 Copic Marker. I then used the circle I punched to mask off my moon and airbrushed RV12, RV15 & RV17 for the sky. I sponged some black ink around the edges of my sky. The fence Birgitta is sitting on is a Martha Stewart border punch. (This is a great substitute for the one I have - bought it last yr) I airbrushed a doily (Wilton) with some 100 (black) Copic marker and then used it to layer my image.

Here is the finished product! To create the cute ribbon embellishments, I followed Tori Wild's tutorial. The sentiment is from a Halloween PTI set and the punches used for the sentiment are from SU.

Copics Used:
Skin - E00, E000, R20; Dress - C9, C7, C5, C3, C1; Wings - YG25, YG21, Hair - YR18, YR16, YR12, 0 - Colorless Blender

Happy Friday!! It's rainy here today, so a perfect day to get scrappy! I have a cute cupcake-shaped card to share with you today.

I purchased the template for this cupcake here. I used the hand-cut version and it was really simple to make! I used the Miss Rosalie stamp from CC Designs. She was colored with these Copics: Skin - E000, E00, R20; Dress, Stockings & Shoes - R85, R83, R81, RV000, E42, E41, E40; Hair - E57, E55, E53, E50. I pulled out a sentiment from PTI and used my oval Nestabilities to cut it out. I pulled out some Penny Lane DP and paired it with some Vintage Cream cardstock that I distressed with Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I ran the top part of the cupcake through my Cuttleug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. The roses are from Prima and the pink one is from Wild Orchid Crafts. I used 2 different leaf punches - the rounded one being from EK Success and the other one Nellie Snellen. Here is a sideview of the card. I used the striped DP to cover the inside of the card.

Stamps - Miss Rosalie (CC Designs), sentiment (PTI)

Ink - Memento, Copics, Distress Inks

Paper - Vintage Cream (PTI), Penny Lane DP

Accessories - Ribbon, Nestabilities, Flowers (Prima & WOC), Swiss Dots Embossing Folder, Scoring Tool, ATG Gun, Leaf Punches

Back 2 School

Yup! It's almost that time of year!! The kiddos go back to school soon and I can honestly say, I am ready for a little break from having 3 kids at home all of the time.

Today, Pink Cat Studio has some awesome new Back To School Themed Digi's available today!!
This is Back To School Billy - isn't he too cute? He has all of his supplies and even an apple for teacher! I printed him on PTI paper and colored him with Copics. I then sponged some Brilliant Blue around the image. It is hard to tell, but I added some Glossy Accents to the apple and the front of his lunchbox. The papers I used are: Blue (Bazzill), Riding Hood Red, More Mustard and some KI Memories School Days DP. I used an oval paper clip from MM and some Night of Navy Ribbon from SU. The edge punch is also from SU as well as the tag punches. I printed the sentiment on my pc. Here are all of the cute School Digi's available and there is even one free if you purchase images today!!
Happy Stamping! I am hoping to get some more cards finished soon. I have colored lots of images over the last week, now to just turn them into cards!

Happy Wednesday, ladies!! Hope everyone is having a wonderfully scrappy day! Today is the kick off for the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog!!

The first challenge theme is: Pink & Polka Dots!! Be sure to stop by and check out all of the specifics. One winner will be chosen randomly to win a $50.00 gift card to the 7 Kids store!!!

Here is the card I made for the challenge. I used my most favorite Magnolia Stamp, Jam Tilda.

For the background, I used the Spring Fence stamp. I stamped it with Staz-On on watercolor paper and used Tim Holtz Re-inkers to color it. The watercoloring is pretty new to me, so bear with me as I work on it! Tilda was stamped on Copic Paper and colored with Copics - sorry ladies, I was not brave enough to try watercoloring her too!! I had to pull out some more Basic Grey Infuse DP - I can never get enough Basic Grey!! I paired it with some Pretty in Pink & Old Olive cardstock. The sentiment is from a PTI Ltd. Edition Set. I cut the sentiment out with a Labels Trio Nestability and airbrushed it with some Copic Marker. I used my sewing machine around the DP. I added some PTI ribbon, Prima Roses, Martha Stewart Floral Lace Border punch and some leaves for embellishments.
Here is a close-up of Tilda. I used some Inkssentials Gel pen to add polka dots to her dress and some Stickles on the flowers at her feet.

Have A Magical Summer and some awesome NEWS!!

Happy Monday, y'all! It has been a busy and piping HOT day here in FL! My boys are doing soccer camp this week and it is blistering outside. I feel terrible for them that it is so hot. Also, we went school clothes/shoe shopping today. Clothes shopping for a 14 yr old girl is PUNISHMENT I tell ya! She likes nothing and you about have to bribe her to try anything on. We did luck out and finally find some jeans that fit her nicely. It is a struggle with her b/c all of her friends wear those 'skinny' jeans and she is very athletic and they do not look good b/c they are too tight on her legs. When you try to tell her that, she thinks she's fat...Oh well I cannot win! But, my Mom laughs b/c she says it's payback because I was the worst to take shopping!

Okay, enough about my rant....I have a new Maggie card to share with you! Some of you may recognize this card. It was featured in Suzanne Dean & Marti Wills scrappy magazine Through the Craftroom Door for a sewing tutorial in the July/August Issue. If you have not subscribed, you should consider. It is chocked-full of inspiration and cool tips!
This card features Flying Tilda in all of her magical glory! I cut the stamped image out using my Octagon Nestabilities and layered her on a scalloped piece. The cardstock is some retired SU and the DP is some Basic Grey Urban Prairie. I airbrushed the Prima flowers with some Copic Markers and added some pearls to the center. The sentiment was computer generated and punched with a SU punch and finally airbrushed as well.
Here is a close-up of her. You can see her sparkly wings. I loaded them up with lots of Stickles! Tilda was colored with lots of Copic Markers (oops, forgot to snap a pic - sorry!)

Now for the AWESOME NEWS!!!!

7 Kids College Fund is starting a CHALLENGE BLOG!!

The first Challenge starts August 4th!! (The link above will not be active until then!)

The first challenge is PINK & POLKA DOTS.

One person will randomly be chosen to win a $50 Gift Card!!!

Paper - SU, Basic Grey Urban Prairie
