Happy Thursday!

Hi everyone! I was too tired to scrap last night (dealing with sick kids is soooo draining as I am sure ALL of you know), but I did play around with my crochet needles and some yarn and here is what I came up with:

Now, I know these are not perfect, but it has been a long time since I have crocheted anything and I was a novice back then!! LOL! I still like the way they turned out. The colors photographed a little funky, but the colors resemble: So Saffron, Groovy Guava, & Perfect Plum. I need to keep practicing and try different patterns, but I think they turned out cute!

Anyhoo, look for some of these babies on my cards in the future - I promise to hone my skills before putting them on a card.

I will be practicing while I sit at my dd's soccer practice tonight from 5-6:15 and lacrosse practice from 6:45 - 8:15 - what else am I going to do w/no internet connection and stuck in my car that long?? LOL!

A brief note about my sick kids - thanks to everyone and their well wishes for my boys. I took them both back to the dr. today and my 3 yo she now wants him to have his adnoids removed and tubes put in his ears. He has basically been WELL a whole 4 weeks since Thanksgiving. We have been to Allergy & ENT specialists and he can't catch a break and keeps having asthma attacks. I am very happy that she wants to get these done ASAP. I knew that the adnoids were inevitable, but I am glad sooner than later... My older son, just keeps catching everything his little bro suffers from. They do think he has reflux and that could be exacerbating the # of infections he catches. I am really looking forward to having kids that are well more often than they are sick!! My 12 yo dd has only had 1 ear infection in 12 yrs!! She never gets sick, thankfully!

Sorry for the long post...

~Tori

Not bad (a whole heck of a lot better than I could do!)! Keep practicing, I know you'll master it!

I'm SOOO jealous!! I need to learn how to do these! Especially when you look at those SU crochet flowers prices! My Parker had his tonsils and adenoids out last summer and he has been SO much better since then... we were in the doctors constantly before that! I was all for whatever would make him feel better!

Tori - those are great! I think I used to crochet - maybe I can take it up again. I bought some yarn at Hobby Lobby recently and some kind of needles on the clearance table thinking I might knit with my youngest GranD. Who knows - they could be crochet needles!!!
