Sweet Little Sick Mouse

TGIF, y'all!! I tell ya, I am so glad the weekend is here! I am growing a little tired of soccer & lacrosse practices 5 days a week and games 2 days a week! At least my daughter's soccer game got re-scheduled on Sat - that means we only have 2 soccer games on Sat! She does still have her lacrosse game on Sunday and a team party afterward - if it's not one thing, it's another! How many more days of school?? I am getting so ready for summer.

Okay, back to Earth....I have a new image from Whiff of Joy to show you today. The Get Well Collection will be available starting May 1st.

Isn't she the sweetest little sicky? I used some Basic Grey Lemonade DP along with some Baja Breeze, Kiwi Kiss, and Purely Pomegranate. The sentiment is a free digi image from Pink Cat Studio. I inked the edges of the image and sentiment with some Kiwi Kiss. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the other flowers are Primas. Of course I used my MS fern punch - as I do on all of my cards. This sketch came from Jacque. It just fit this image perfectly! Here is a close-up of my little mousie. I colored her with the Copics listed below. On a side note, I wanted to share with you a decoration I made last night for my daughter's school band. Each year, her school band sponsors a dance. This years theme is Fiesta since it is 2 days after Cinco de Mayo. It measures about 13" in diameter and was made using squares of tissue paper. I cut the tissue paper into 2" squares and glued them all over the circle. I cut the letters out using my Cricut. Good to finally put it to some more use! Thanks for stopping by! ~Tori

Happy Mother's Day Tilda

Happy Hump Day, y'all! Hope everyone is having a fine Wednesday so far! I am stopping by briefly to show you a Mother's Day card I made for my Grandmother In-Law. I am trying to get these whipped out a little early since I have to mail them to PA.
I am submitting this card for Just Magnolia's Anything Goes challenge this week. This is Tilda Holding Lilacs and she is available over at Magnolia-licious. I used some more of my new Basic Grey Going Green DP - one of my favs....I know I say it about all of their paper lines - LOL! I paired it with some more blush blossom & old olive cardstock. I added some Raspberry Fizz Flower Soft to her lilacs. The sentiment is by Great Impressions stamps. I airbrushed the hydrangea's with some R01. The roses are from Prima, the fern punch is Martha Stewart as well as the border punch.
Here is a close-up of this sweet girl. I colored her with Copics and added some glitter to her wings.
This is the inside of the card. I created a panel to write a quick note and then created a pocket for a Barnes & Noble gift card. Mom-Mom is an avid reader, so I know this will get put to good use!
Here are the Copics I used. I did forget to add the ones for her hair and skin so here goes:
Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20
Hair - E50, E53, E55, E57
Patches - R20, R21, R22, R24
Okay, think I got them all now! I was really tired last night when I took these pics and was too lazy to re-take them! LOL!

Have a great day and be sure to stop by tomorrow to see a new Pink Cat Studio goodie!! ~Tori

Wishing You a Very Happy Birthday Tilda!!

Happy Tuesday night, y'all!! I will keep this pretty short tonight as I am about ready to crash. I also am very sore from 2 days of working out. It has been a while since I have worked out and am really trying to get into a routine. Anyhow, my knees feel like they are the size of watermelons from all of the cycling over the past 2 days! LOL! I guess there are worse things, eh? No pain, no gain, right? I'll take a little less pain and a lot more gain tonight, though! LOL!

This card features Sweet Tilda and Open Gate - I think they are on back order at Magnolia-licious right now - sorry!
I could not wait to rip into my new Basic Grey Going Green DP - lovin' it! It goes nicely with Blush Blossom and Old Olive. I airbrushed the hydrangea flowers with some R01 & YR15 Copic Marker. The sentiment comes from Amy R's Birthday Sentiments. The ferns and leaves are Martha Stewart punches as well as the border punch. I am submitting this card for Just Magnolia's Anything Goes challenge this week!!
Here is a close-up of Tilda. I masked her to stamp the gate and then masked it along with her to airbrush the sky with some B21 marker. I colored the ground with Copics - i did not airbrush this (shocking, I know! LOL!)
Here are the Copics I used - I promise I did not use the whole color line, but it sure felt like it when I started bundling these up to photograph them! I think this is the most I have ever used on 1 card.

Okay, going to bed now! Be sure to check back tomorrow - I will have a Tilda Mother's Day card to show you. On Thursday, I will be back with a PCS goodie - be sure to stop by then too!
Hugs, ~Tori

Make a Wish!!

Happy Saturday! I am off and running to soccer games today, so this is a pre-generated post. I am back today with another card from Whiff of Joy's 1001 Nights set. There are so many pretty images and some wonderful sentiments that go along with it.
I used the genie image, but cut the lamp off to create some space between the images. I used my Nesties and airbrushed the centers of each cut panel - one with V12 and the other with Y26. I am in love with this new Basic Grey Kioshi DP. Every time BG comes out with a new release, I tell myself I don't need it b/c I have too much paper all ready. Of course, you can see how well that rationing works with myself - LOL! No will power whatsoever when it comes to scrappy stuff. I paired the DP with some Pale Plum and Crushed Cherry SU cardstock. Other embellishments I used are fern punch (MS), brad (BG), Pale Plum ink, flourish punch (EK Success), Lace border punch (MS), and machine stitching.
Here is a close-up of Ms. Genie. She was colored with Copics (colors are below), cut out and popped up with some 3-D foam tape.
Here is a close-up of my tissue flower. I airbrushed it with some V12 Copic Marker. Here are instructions on how to make your own tissue flowers.
Here are the Copics I used.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a great weekend! ~Tori

Tilda with Basket

Happy Friday, y'all! It is a beautiful day here in FL and I have a busy day, so I wanted to post this real quick!

I decided to create a shadowbox card. They are super easy to make and the instructions can be found here. The neat thing is they fold flat and still mail in an A2 (4.25 x 5.5) envelope!! I am entering this in the Just Magnolia Challenge for this week - Anything Goes! Wish me luck! I love Wild Orchid products!
This is Tilda with Flowing Hair and she is available over at Magnolia-licious. The background stamp is Summer Background, but appears to be out of stock at Magnolia-licious at the moment. For the background, I stamped it on watercolor paper with some Staz-on and colored it with Tim Holtz Distress inks in the following colors: Straw, Peeled Paint, Crushed Olive, & Tumbled Glass and an aqua painter. I have not done this in so long, but it was so quick and easy! I airbrushed the primas on the front panel with some R21 to match my Basic Grey Urban Prairie DP. The card base is Cool Caribbean cardstock (retired SU). The fern sprays are from my new Martha Stewart fern punch - so glad to have found another one since my first one broke!! The sentiment is from Amy R's birthday sentiments. I punched it out with a tag Nestie and airbrushed it with some BG000.
Here is a side view, so you can see the dimension.
Tilda was colored with Copics and cut out. I stuck her on the front panel of the card. I think she turned out beautiful! :)
Thanks for stopping by! I will be back tomorrow with a new card from Whiff of Joy! ~Tori

Shopping Birthday Diva!!

Happy Thursday, Diva's! LOL! This little owl is such a shopping diva! She is one of the new Digi images being released today over at Pink Cat Studio! I made this card for my MIL's birthday which is later this week.
I am in love with this new Basic Grey Kioshi DP!! It is so soft and pretty. I paired it with some Soft Sky & Pink Pirouette. The sentiment is from Amy R's Birthday sentiment set. I made the little flower in her hair by myself! It is very similar to the small prima roses you can buy. I made it using 5 small primas, a brad and some glue. Here is a wonderful tutorial that gave me the inspiration to create them! I did not have the color of flowers I wanted, so I airbrushed them with some Y00 & Y11 and then created the flower embellishment. I added a panel punched with a MS border punch and some Aqua Mist polka dot ribbon.
Here is a close-up of this Diva. I colored her with some Copics and sponged some Pink Pirouette ink around the oval panel. I added some Liquid Glass to Ms. Diva's eyes and some clear stickles to her eyelids - she's looking very saucy! For her hat, I colored it solid with Copics and then made hatch marks with my colorless blender to make it look like straw! I added a little liquid glass to her purse and added some clear dots with my colorless blender.
Here is the inside of the card. It has another sentiment in the birthday set.
For the top of the inside of the card, I created a pocket for a gift card. My MIL just got one of those Nook readers from Barnes & Noble, so I got her a gift card to download some books!

Here is a peek of the new Diva's being released today! Aren't they fab? Thanks for stopping by! ~Tori
