New PCS Digi's - Hoot, Hoot!

Happy Friday! Yay, the weekend is finally here! My kids are off school today - I am so glad that I did not have to get up really early today! LOL! The Brad Paisley concert was awesome last night, but we stayed up a little late!

I have 3 cards to share with you today for the Pink Cat Studio Digi Stamp release. They are available over here. She is also adding a section for some free sentiments that will be great accompaniments to the digi images! This one is the Christmas Stump digi image. Aren't these stitched owls to die for? I chose to use non-traditional Christmas colors for this card. This DP is from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses line. I also used Pretty in Pink and Cool Caribbean cardstock. I colored the image with my Copics and added lots of Stickles to the candy canes, Christmas balls and to decorate the tree. I also sponged some Cool Caribbean around the edges of the colored image and then stitched around the edges. The tag was created by using a Nestie tag, some Cool Caribbean ink, a PTI button and a Martha Stewart snowflake punch.See the owl's cute flower bling? She is a very stylish little owl! I thought it was the perfect addition to this card.
Here are the Copics I used:On to my second card.... Isn't he a Hoot? Gosh, I am so corny today! LOL! I hope Hootie Pie - Santa comes to visit me this Christmas. I have been really good! For this card, I used some new Bo Bunny DP I just bought on Monday. It is so pretty - I could not wait to use it! It goes great with Old Olive and Riding Hood Red Cardstock. I used an EK Success snowflake border punch I picked up a few weeks ago. For the embellishment, I used a Prima Poinsetta flower along with some punched fern leaves (Martha Stewart) and a blingy brad. I added some Stickles to the branches of the leaves - gotta glitz it up, right?
Here is a close-up of our Santa Owl. I thought the Liquid Pearls was a perfect addition to his fur trim!

Here are the Copics I used for this one:
My third card uses the IBB - Dino Costume image. Isn't he sweet? My 4 year old loves dinosaurs, so of course I instantly fell in love with this image! I thought he would make a cute boy birthday card. I colored him with my Copics and cut him out. I popped him up on some cardstock I airbrushed in B91. I went into my Basic Grey stash and pulled out some Oh Baby Boy! DP and paired it with some Summer Sunrise (PTI). I printed the sentiment and die cut using a nestie tag and airbrushed it as well. The ribbon is also Summer Sunrise.
Here are the Copics for this one.

Here is a sneak of the stuff available over at the PCS Digi Store! Also, be sure to check out her FREE sentiments that coordinate with the images HERE! Hope you have a fabulous day! I am off to the store and to play some video games with the boys. (Shhhh.....yes, I love to play video games - it will be our little secret! I even have my own pink Nintendo DS!) Tonight I am taking my daughter to play with the high school band (she plays the flute) at the football game - it will be another late night, unfortunately! But, it is great practice for next year when she will be a freshman and in marching band. The hs band director likes to see the middle schoolers come play - it's great recruitment for him!

Off and running! Hugs, Tori

A Halloween Treat!

Happy Thursday! I hope you are having a good day so far! We are going to see Brad Paisley tonight, so I have a bunch to get accomplished before tonight!

I have started making some super quick Halloween Treats for my kids to give out to their friends. I saw this idea last week on this & this Stamp TV episode. Hers are a little more fancy, but these are for 1st graders and pre-schoolers - they only care about the candy! LOL!

I got a screamin' deal on the clear acrylic pillow boxes. I ordered 200 of them from Uline. They worked out to be about $.36 each after shipping - much cheaper than other places I looked! I need to make about 40 for Halloween for my kids' classes. I also plan to do something cute for their classes for Christmas, so that's 80 total. My daughter also plans to make some goodies for her friends and loves to give her teachers chocolate during the holidays, so I felt it was a good investment!

Here is a close-up of one of them. I stamped them using SU's Batty for You set and punched it out using a 1 3/8" circle punch. I then layered it on a punched scalloped circle. I decided to use up some of my Ghostly Greetings DP from SU. I am really trying to use up what I have. My treat pillow is filled with 2 tootsie rolls, 1 smarties, 1 dum-dum pop and a small pack of candy corns - Sure to send any kid into sugar shock! What the hay, it's Halloween right? (For the record, I do not give my kids a lot of candy! In fact, we end up throwing out last year's Halloween candy right before the current Halloween, so we do not end up with ancient candy!)

Supplies: Stamps - Batty for You (SU); Ink - Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, Black, Orchid Opulence; Paper - Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, Orchid Opulence, Black, Whisper White, Ghostly Greetings DP (All SU); Accessories - Pillow Boxes (Uline), Circle & Scallop Punches (SU), glue dots

Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see the new PCS Digi's being released! ~Tori

Celebrate The Day!

Happy Wednesday to ya! Sorry I have been MIA lately, but it has been really busy lately. It seems I managed to over-extend myself this month and it seems as if there are not enough hours in the day! This is going to be a quick post, as I am going with my 4 yr old son's class to the pumpkin patch today! He is really excited!

For this card, I used one of Hero Arts clear acrylic stamps. I was in a hurry last week and my Mom asked me to put together a card for one of my Aunt's birthdays. I immediately thought of this set that I bought in the spring and had never seen any ink. My poor stamps - some of them are so neglected! LOL!

Anyway, I am still on a Basic Grey Lemonade kick, so I paired it with some Pretty in Pink and some PTI Aqua Mist. I think it is a very cheery card! I used a pink prima, some punches and a pearl to make a quick embellishment. I know I use this technique a lot, but it is so simple and packs a huge punch! I also added some lime green stickles to the spots around the cupcake and some clear stickles to the icing for lots of shimmer. Lastly, I added some Liquid Glass (CTMH) to the cherry on top!

I stamped the image multiple times so I could create lots of dimension with layers. The base is just the image stamped and colored; the second layer is the bottom part of the cupcake; the third layer is the icing popped up and lastly, the cherry is even popped up on top! I created the background by blending a few colors of BG and my colorless blender.

Here is a close-up of the layering:My Mom never writes inside the cards I make. She includes a slip of paper inside with her hand-written note, so someone could re-use it if they wanted. She sent it to my Aunt last week and I got the nicest email about it. She has it displayed in her house and plans to send it to one of her cousins in Nov with a note about keeping it moving through the family. She wants each person to use a separate sheet of paper, so it can be used over and over. She wants to see where and to whom this card travels! Well, let me tell you, this warms my heart that they love my card so much AND I think it is a really neat idea! :)

Supplies: Stamps - Hero Arts; Ink - Memento, Copics; Paper - Pretty in Pink, Aqua Mist, Stamper's Select White (both PTI), Lemonade DP (Basic Grey); Accessories - Nesties, Lime Green and Clear Stickles, Prima, Pearl (Basic Grey), leaf punches - Martha Stewart & Ek Success, foam tape, sewing machine, Liquid Glass (CTMH)

Gotta Run! I will be back tomorrow with new digi's from PCS! Have a fabulous day! ~Tori

New PCS Digi's Now Available!

Happy Thursday, Y'all! I am really looking forward to the weekend! It will be busy, but I am looking forward to it. We have soccer games all day on Saturday and then we are going out with some friends Sat night. We plan to decorate for Halloween this weekend too! I am just ready to get past all of the 'sickies' that have been floating around my house!

Check out these precious new digi images now available at Pink Cat Studio's Digi site HERE! My first card uses the new Betty Baked A Pie image:
I colored Betty with my Copics and used my circle nesties for layering. I sponged some Sweet Blush ink around the printed image. I thought she went cute with some of my new Basic Grey Indian Summer DP. I added some Primas, buttons from PTI, stitching, and some paper punched with the Martha Stewart fern punch.
Here is a close-up of this cutie-pie (no pun intended...well, maybe a little!) You can see I added some pink pearls from Basic Grey to her pig tails!

For my second card, I used the Bobby - Turkey Costume image.

This reminds me of my boys, who love to play dress-up in their old Halloween costumes! They are counting down for Halloween this year! Anywho, back to the card Tori! For this one, I used Autumn Abundance DP from PTI along with coordinating cardstocks. Bobby was colored with Copics and cut out using Labels 1. I inked the edges with Dark Chocolate ink. I added a little zig zag stitching, a PTI button, some linen thread and some more fern leaves punched.

Here's a little close-up of this lil man - his skin is a little darker than I like, but I ran out of E000 right in the middle of coloring him and had to finish up with E00. The good news is I did get a refill in the mail yesterday. The bad news, about an hour after I ordered the refill and few new sketch markers, I ran out of E30 and E31! I guess I used too much on these 3 cards! LOL! They are just some of my favs. I have never ran out of multiple colors all at once.

My 3rd card uses the Betty Rides a Turkey image!

She is another total cutie-pie! I used some more Indian Summer from Basic Grey along with some Crushed Cherry and Tangerine Tango. I am really on a fern punch kick! In my defense, they go so well for fall cards, tho! I had to tone down this orange prima with some tangerine tango and brown versa mark chalk ink - it was too bright!

Here is a close-up of this sweet girl!

Hope you enjoyed these cards! Hop on over to the other PCS Digi DT's blogs to see what they have created! Their blog links are on listed the right side of my blog. ---->

A Little Update!

Happy Wednesday Y'all! Sorry I don't have any posts for today, but I wanted to post an update. Things have been very hectic lately.

First, my husband and I came down with Carson's stomach virus last week and then one of our other kids got it this week. I have either been taking care of sick people or have been one of the sick people for almost 2 weeks now! Ack!

To top it all off, my hard drive died almost two weeks ago. I finally got my pc back today with a brand new hard drive! I spent the day reloading software and copying over my 32 GB's of pictures from my external hard drive. Luckily, I had everything backed up onto it!
{External Hard Drive, I LOVE you!}
As if all of that was not enough, my printer went on the fritz leaking ink and smearing it all over everything I printed! I bit the bullet and bought a new printer today! Yay - now it's like everything is shiny and new!

Thanks for listening to me whine! I will be back tomorrow with some brand new digi images available from Pink Cat Studio! Be sure to stop back by! Until then, toodles! ~Tori

Cute New Digi's and a BIG Announcement!

Check out these cute new digi's from Pink Cat Studio!! These are now available over here!
Sorry I am late posting this, I came down with a yucky stomach virus Wednesday night and have been in bed since then. (The only reason I had a post yesterday was because I had time to pre-post it earlier this week! LOL!!)

Now for my
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT....

I made the PCS Digi DT!!

I am so excited to be included with such a wonderful group of talented girls! If you have been following my blog, you know I am a big fan of digi stamps! I {heart} the new Pink Cat Studio Digi's!

Here is a sample I made using Itty Bitty Betty - Butterfly. She is so cute! My neighbor has a little girl that reminds me of her. She is 4 and often wears her ballet outfits to the bus stop to pick up her big sisters! She has a crush on my 6 yr old and often waits for him to get off the bus to give him a flower she just picked!

I printed Betty using my Epson Stylus CX7800 printer on PTI Stamper's Select White CS. I really like this paper the best for copics. I colored her with my copics and layered her with some Blossoms II Nestabilities. I ran the largest one through my cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder. Of course, I had to use some more of my Basic Grey Lemonade stash along with some Kiwi Kiss and some Basic Grey pearls for her skirt, flower and on the tag. The sentiment from the Lily & Tweet Set.

Here are the copics I used: Supplies - Itty Bitty Betty - Butterfly (PCS Digi), sentiment (Lily & Tweet - PCS); Paper - Stamper's Select White (PTI), Kiwi Kiss, Lemonade DP (Basic Grey); Ink - Copics; Accessories - Stitching, Swirl Ribbon (Creative Impressions), Pearls (Basic Grey), Word Window & Modern Label Punches (SU), Blossom II Nestabilities, Swiss Dots Embossing Folder (Cuttlebug)

Thanks for stopping by! I am off to the Land of Nod - my dd has an 8:30 AM soccer game and I am still not feeling 100%! Have a great night! ~Tori

Believe!

Hello All! Hope your Thursday is going well so far! Today, I have another card made using PTI's Tree Trimming Trio set. I have really been on a PTI roll lately! I also tried to step out of my comfort zone and use lots of Kraft cardstock on this one! :)
I stamped on of the trees in Spring Moss on Kraft and cut out. The balls were stamped in Pure Poppy and punched with a 1/2 inch circle punch - it fits perfectly leaving just enough of a kraft border around the stamped image. I adhered the balls with foam circle dimensionals so they are popped up! The card base is again Kraft and is layered with Ripe Avocado and some Bitty Dots Basics DP in Pure Poppy, which I zig-zag stitched to the Avocado. The vertical Avocado strip was embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. I did not buy this particular one until after Christmas (had a hard time finding it locally), but I will get my money's worth this holiday season! LOL! I used a Labels Trio Nestie to create the tag for the sentiment along with an Avocado button and some linen thread (SU).

This one will be going in my Etsy store sometime this morning. Stuff is flying off the shelves quick, so if you are interested in one of my cards, you'd better snatch it up before someone else does! :)

Supplies: Tree Trimming Trio (PTI); Paper - Kraft, Ripe Avocado, Bitty Dot Basics DP (All PTI); Ink - Spring Moss, Ripe Avocado, Pure Poppy & Dark Chocolate (all PTI); Accessories - Cuttlebug embossing folder, sewing machine, foam dimensionals, Ripe Avocado button (PTI), Labels Trio Nesties, linen thread (SU)

Have a great day! Thanks for stopping by! ~Tori
